Author Photo No Longer Showing Up in Search
-
My author photo has been showing up in search for quite some time but starting today I noticed that it no longer does even though the structured data testing tool still has it showing up. It only seems to show up on my google+ profile. Anyone notice the same thing?

I am having this problem as well. My photo was showing up in all the articles that I write, then one day a month ago they stopped despite not changing anything.
I'm thinking Google changed the threshold on how many followers someone has to have to show up in search results. They must be using it as a qualifier to determine if the author is an authority on the subject.

Hi Brett & Takeshi,
please post if your foto will show up after putting it in a better quality, because I don't believe it might be an issue of the number of followers or content you post on g+ , because I am a good example because having just a few followers and also nearly no post at all... But its working for me. Also my name does not appear on some pages where I put the rel author. So I think there are other reasons.
Best regards,
Holger

Google doesn't guarantee showing your profile picture on every result, even if you include authorship markup. Google decides when it's relevant to display the author snippets (by whatever means).
2 recommendations for you:
-
Get a higher resolution photo. You current photo is a little pixelated, and Google will often not display low quality photos.
-
Get more followers on Google+. Your current count is on the low side. I would aim to get at least 500 followers.
Other than that, continue engaging on Google+ and posting good content. Sometimes author snippets will show up one day, disappear the next, and come back again the next day, so don't stress too much about it. If you continue building up your profile as an author, your photo should show back up.

Google search console: 404 and soft 404 without any back-links. Redirect needed?
Hi Moz community, We can see the 404 and soft 404 errors in Google web masters. Usually these are non-existing pages which are found somewhere on internet by Google. I can see some of these reported URLs don't have any back-links (checked on ahrefs tool). Do we need to redirect each and every link reported here or ignore or marked to be fixed? Thanks

Page details in Google Search
I noticed this morning a drop in the SERPs for a couple of my main keywords. And even though this is a little annoying the more pressing matter is that Google is not displaying the meta title I have specified for the majority of my sites pages, despite one being specified and knowing my site has them in place. Could this sudden change to not using my specified title be the cause of the drop, and why would they be being displayed by Google in the first place, when they are there to be used. The title currently being displayed inthe SERPs is not anything that has been specified in the past or from the previous latest crawl etc. Any insight would be appreciated. Tim

URL Importance In Search
This may have been addressed before. If it is, please link me to the thread. I'm trying to SEO for local surrounding cities my client services. It was suggested I purchase domains relevant to those cities and create separate pages optimized for those local keywords. Wondering if this is a good tactic. For example my client's business is located in Chicago, but services the surrounding suburbs of Chicago. Whats the current, best way to SEO?

Is our office location keeping us from showing up in the local results?
I’m the managing broker of Reilly Realtors, a real estate brokerage in Austin, TX. We are ranking fairly well for our targeted keywords, but we never show up in the local results. We serve the entire Austin area, but our office is in Bee Cave, a small town located a few miles southwest of Austin. Is our office location keeping us from showing up in the local results? And if so, how can we rank in the local results without moving our office to the downtown area? Thanks, Michael

Phantom Indexed: 301 Redirected Old URL Shows in Google Search Result!
Today, I have read about Phantom Indexed in Google search result. Because, I was searching about 301 redirect due to indexing of 301 redirected old URLs in Google search result rather than new landing pages. I've added my comment on jennita's blog post about 301 redirect. I would like to paste similar question over here! I have 301 redirected following 3 domains to new website... http://www.lampslightingandmore.com/ To http://www.vistastores.com/table-lamps http://www.vistapatioumbrellas.com/ To http://www.vistastores.com/patio-umbrellas http://www.spiderofficechairs.com/ To http://www.vistastores.com/office-chairs I have done it before 3 months but, Google still shows me home page URL in search result rather than new landing page. You can check following search results to know more about it. For LampsLightingandMore ~ On second or third page::: For VistaPatioUmbrellas ~ On second or third page::: For SpiderOfficeChairs ~ On Second or third page::: I come to know about Phantom Indexed after raised my comment over there. So, why should not start discussion on it. Because, It's all about branding and who'll love to hang old address in front of new home.

Meta Title Not Showing up in Google
Hello Friends, I have a website, www.bollywoodshaadis.com. On 1st may we changed our servers and revamped our website as per SEO updated guidelines. For some strange reason Google is not showing site Meta Title when you search the website on Google. All it shows is the domain name in the meta title. However, when you search info:www.bollywoodshaadis.com it shows the right Meta tags. Any reason for this happening? I have never seen this before. Thank you in advance.

How do you get photo galleries indexed on Google News?
I work for a news site and some of our photo galleries get indexed by Google News while others never do. I'm trying to determine why some are more successful than others even though they all follow the same guidelines regarding keyword-rich headlines & copy, h1s, etc. When comparing what's been indexed in the past with current galleries, there doesn't appear to be an obvious pattern. Can anyone share some insight into this?
