Google Webmaster. Backlinks
-
GWMT only shows that there are 3 domains pointing to a site of mine. I'm looking under "Links to site".
But this can't be true because the site is pretty old and I know there are hundreds of domains that point to this one.
What would explain this discrepancy? And is there some other free tool that will show all the backlinks?
I've used Opensite explorer but that tool isn't close to comprehensive as GWMT usually is (based on other sites I've analyzed)
-
Will GWMT still disavow a list of links even if those links are not listed under GWMT's "links to site" section? I had to use OSE and Bing Webmaster to find the bad backlinks to my site.
Also, didn't Bing had its own disavow tool as well? I don't see it now
-
webmaster tools did a clean up on links they show
they used to show a lot more but now they lowered the number of links so that's one reason
Another reason is that the links is probably very old. Ive seen very old links on inactive sites disappear from GWT.
If you use majestic seo, you can see those links in historic mode. In fresh mode, you wont. It's almost the same logic.

Oooh, yes
This is a good question. I am having the exact same issue with my website. In OSE it only shows that we have like 3 linking root domains but we have more under followed back links.
I Just found this out in OSE
"Although we do not currently display a count of total links for this filter set, you can still view all the links by paginating or downloading a CSV (up to 25 links per domain)."
I am curious about what someone more knowledge than myself has to say. What is GWMT & what are your issues with OSE. It takes a little time to get use to but I understand it pretty well.

Google Analytics - Dashboard Question
I'm looking to set up a dashboard widget in Google Analytics that does the following but can't : Shows traffic sources in a table as the dimension, and wanting to show goal completions to a specific product page and then only show what the average time spent (by source) on just those product pages. It looks like it's showing the whole session duration for the entire source, but I want to create a secondary filter that is only showing the time spent on those specific pages. Can anyone help - or is this possible? Thanks all!

Google Tag Assistant for Chrome
I'm using the Google Tag Assistant for Chrome, and I noticed something really weird. No matter what pages I look at, the same two GA tags show up. It's weird. You can see the tag that is "working", and then there are two repeats. For example, when I look at this page, I see the GA tag that is working and then all the remarketing tags. Then I see UA-36732895-1 repeated twice. Anyone have any idea what this is? Thanks!

Traffic Discrepancy between google and moz
I checked my traffic data this morning for this past week and there seems to be what I hope is a huge mistake. https://www.diigo.com/item/image/3vpdp/mckp My traffic seems to have dropped from 176 organic visits to 0 visits. There is no indication of this at all in Google analytics. What's going on?

Google Analytics
Hello In Google analytics you can obtain the number of visits as a result of non-paid search. You can also set up custom reports to find the number of organic searches. The numbers are different, so what is the obvious difference between these two metrics that I'm missing. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Neil

How Can I Record .zip Traffic in Google Analytics
The company I am with shows traffic coming in to .zip files in Google Analytics. The traffic being recorded stopped a while back, but I know people are still downloading/visiting these .zip ULRs. I'm not sure how they were recording/tracking the .zip URLs (in Analytics) before, but I'd like to track them once again. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks
