What advantages does Wisita (video hosting) give over using YouTube?

I am currently undertaking a review of how we use video on our website and I am wondering what advantages Wistia provides over using YouTube?
My current stance is that we would use Wisita for our high-production value videos, and YouTube for videos embedded within our content pages so we can make use of the playlist functionality.
If anyone can provide insight into this, I would be most grateful.

One of the big, big advantages hosting with Wistia has is because your are self-hosting the content, you can help the webpage the video is on to rank, along with having a rich snippet appear in search. With embedded YouTube videos, more often than not the video and the snippet goes straight to the page itself, causing a loss of traffic. Self-hosting prevents this and also keeps a video surrounded by relevant content.
Embedding videos and getting rich snippets in search is a huge benefit and one well worth looking into. With that in mind, I gone only point you towards Phil Nottingham's excellent guide on the Distilled blog. You can find it here:

We've been thinking that maybe it would be beneficial in terms of SEO to supply our YouTube videos with CC / subtitles. YouTube Channels - Geotargeting - UK & US specific YT channels (but with identical videos)
Can you have one for each region such as Uk & US like you might with FaceBook etc: I know its a good idea for Geo-targeting reasons to have country specific social pages to promote country specific websites (i.e. UK FaceBook for .co.uk website and US Facebook for .com site etc), does the same apply to YouTube ? Does YouTube allow this (since videos will be effectively the same on both channels) ? I would hope so since say if you wanted to exploit annotated links to the main site from the videos then you would want the US viewer following a link to a US product page not a UK page and vice versa ? Looking at my report and saw I had over 400 302s. When I looked where they came from, it seems it's from a plugin called socialize sending stuff to Facebook. Does it matter?

For better SEO I understand I should be using Google+, but under what identity?
It appears one way to rank more highly is by using Google+. But should I start to build a community myself or as my company? I have a good Twitter following under my own name, which links to my company page and a facebook page (for my business). I much prefer to be a face on social media than hide behing a logo, but am faced with a dilemma and not sure where to begin: Will Google recognise the relationship between me and my business if I set up an account under my own name? Primarily it's my business I want to promote, so from an seo perspective it seems should I use Google+ as my business, but I really dislike 'corporate' social media?
