Can you highlight a list of keywords in reports?
-
Hello all,
My client recently asked me if there was a way to highlight a specific list of keywords to put on the first page of every report. These would be the highest priority keywords that we would always want to know the status of for his site.
In the reports section, I am only seeing options for organizing the keywords by rankings improved/declined and comparing to competitors. Would anyone know how to label/categorize this list of keywords and then produce them as part of the monthly reports?
Thank you,
Daniel -
I'll give it a shot, thank you again for your help!

You could probably do something manually on this, although I have never tried it to be honest.
I tend to use the SEOMoz reports as they are easy, insightful and well formatted.
I would think the best way to achieve what you are after is to export the site rankings to csv and use Excel, set up conditional formatting to highlight a row where label is equal to "top keywords" or whatever label you use.
If you get any problems let me know and I will send you a quick example in Excel, the only downside of this is that you will have to run this report manually as there is no way of automating this info as far as i know.

Thanks, Justin! At the very least, it sounds like I may be able to create a label for this list of keywords, filter my keyword results, and then export a PDF of those specific rankings. Would that work?

Hi Daniel
It is possible to add labels to keywords within the SEOmoz PRO App, so you could add in the label "Top Keywords", but as far as I am aware there is no way to specifically highlight keywords or order the report by label.
You can order by top keywords, ranking improvements, declines etc but nothing that would give you the specific report you are after.
I would be a nice feature though, maybe worth suggesting it thru "request a feature"

Keyword cannibalization
Hello - We have a blog that ranks for 124 different keywords (URL: https://www.clickboarding.com/18-jaw-dropping-onboarding-stats-you-need-to-know/), and it's cannibalizing other keywords that I'm writing blogs specifically for. For example, the blog mentioned above ranks for "employee onboarding process," and I have a different blog I wrote with "employee onboarding process" as the focus keyword that's not ranking at all. Any suggestions or insight is hugely appreciated! Julie K.

Should I use location in keywords in a campaign?
We're setting up 25 campaigns for clients and many of the keywords in each are identical. Rather than creating a keyword with a specific location for each client (pool builder san francisco), would it be more effective to use only "pool builder" as the keyword and then set the location for the San Francisco area? I'm concerned that we are going to run out of our keyword allotment since many of our clients have multiple locations.

Can I batch export top 5 or 10 SERPS for each keyword in my campaign
I'm a newby. I have about 70 keywords and I want to create a list of all of the websites ranking in the top say 10 positions. This is to create a list of competitors in my client's space. How do I do this? I poked around but can only see single-keyword search capability to get the full serp listing (top 50). thanks.

No longer in top 100 for branded keyword - How!?
Got a weird one here... Won't give away actual URL but for this example let's say client's site is: www.purplebananas.com Many of the longtail keyword-targeted subpages/posts are still ranking pretty well. We recently went through and optimized the site based on poor scores we found from crawl reports from SEO Moz, which included renaming some sub-pages, eliminating duplicate content pages, archives, etc (it's a wordpress site, about 4 years old). This site used to rank at the top or near it for the search "purple bananas". However, after we optimized the site it's almost completely fallen off the radar of Google, turns up way over 100 for the search "purple bananas". Strangely, if we search "purplebananas" we're at the top still. Any idea what's going on here? Are we potentially over-optimized or something weird for our own brand!? Any troubleshooting tips? FWIW the changes were made about 6 weeks ago and while we're steadily building links, I don't think this is the standard "Google dance". Thanks!

Can I add more than one domain in a campaign?
There 5, 12 and 30 campaigns limit in Pro, Pro plus and Elite plan. Does that It mean that I the number of domain we can monitor per plan is equal to the number of allowed campaigns? Lets say I have 50 domains and I want to track them all. Can I manage them like the way Google Analytics do. Thanks

SEOmoz campaign - keyword rankings...
Hi there, I have a quick question: Does it make a difference if I add keywords to a campaign with the '[' and ']' brackets included? I just realized that I had copy/pasted many of my keywords from the exported CSV from the Google AdWords Keyword Tool and I fear that the keyword rankings on SEOmoz might factor the brackets as part of the keywords themselves. Thanks in advance! Ben

Site Ranking Report
Hi guys, My site ranking report says that I've gone from being 1-20 for a variety of keywords in Google UK to not in the top 50. When I do a search myself I see that my site remains where it previously was (between 1-20). How reliable is the site ranking reporting on a weekly basis? Is it best to look at it monthly?
