What do the dates refer to in seo moz reports
-
question is in the title - new trainee asked me and couldn't actually answer!
-
Thanks Sam, i've always viewed these reports as trend reports, but realised i had never understood the date formats underneath them!
-
Hi!
These dates just there to provide you with a timescale so you can see how your diagnostic issues have trended over time. The older the campaign is, the more the scale increases until you hit about a year. So for this example (http://screencast.com/t/U62XG8tCbni8), 2/1 refers to 2/1/13 and 4/16 refers to 4/16/13.
If you have an older campaign (say with a years worth of data), you'll see the graph that says something like 5/1, 7/1 [...] 3/1, 5/1. This would represent a 5/1/12 - 5/1/13 timeframe. Hopefully this helped clear up the graph Have a great day!
Best,
Sam

the particular date format I am refering to is in the crawl report - the dates are 10/1 7/1 4/1 repeated over and over
i have a feeling it is going to be a very obvious answer but, is it the number of days gone past and why would SEO not just use standard calendar dates?

Ahrefs vs Moz
Hi! I noticed the Moz DA en the Ahrefs DA are very different. Where https://www.123opzeggen.nl/ has a DA of 10 at MOZ, the DA at Ahrefs is 26. Where does this big difference come from? Do you measure in different ways? I hope you can answer this question for me. Thank you in advance!

Moz metrics
This discussion is strictly theoretical... I won't hold anyone to their answer. If I have 2 websites that are identical in every way and let's say the domain authority for both is 40, and I 301 redirect one site to the other, what would the DA become? Same question for single pages, both with a PA of 40. If I 301 redirect one page to the other, what does the PA become for the remaining page?

Affordable SEO?
Hey,
Moz Pro | | ChrisHolgate
I love the resources available to me through Moz.com and although I've found it's possible to make a half decent attempt at improving our site using these tools. I have however got to the point where it would be nice to have a second opinion as my view on our site and what can be achieved is no doubt somewhat stale. Obviously asking the community through Q&A is a start and I have benefited greatly in the past from your advice but I wouldn't expect anybody to give our site more than a two minute glance for free. As such I'm hoping to locate someone that I can pay to talk things over with just to get some fresh ideas and perhaps a list of tasks that my staff and I can continue to undertake over the coming months. I appreciate that Moz has a list of recommended SEO companies however these all seem to be targeted towards larger brands and I can imagine a relationship with one of these companies being less personal than I would like. Asides from going through lists of users and checking out their profiles individually, is there a resource that lists the smaller independent on Moz.com and if so where can I find it? Alternatively are their any external resources that might help me to find someone that would be a good match?
Thanks for your help. Chris1 -
Viewing past campaign reports
This is a basic SEOmoz question - Is there a way to view past campaign reports? I haven't manually "archived" any of my reports, because I didn't realize that may be important so it seems I might be out of luck on this. i would like to compare old reports to current ones and can't find a way to access the old reports.

Hey from a New guy to SEO
Hi everybody!!! Hope everybody is dandy. Have spent a long time looking into SEOmoz and decided to just take the plunge and see what happens. Im quite new to the world of SEO but I really want to get good at it. Hoping Moz and this community will aid with this! Currently in the process of reading the SEO beginners guide and the SEOmoz user guide! The two sites that I am currently working on are: 1. www.advanced-incar.co.uk 2. www.advanced-incarcamerasystems.com The first site seems to have crawled well and have entered my competitors and am getting some info back (looks like I have a lot of work to do judging by the errors D'oh) In the world of Google what is the best way to ensure you have authority on certain terms. For instance if I search advanced-incar we are top and we have all our sitelinks underneath etc etc, but when I search advanced incar we are second and as such we don't display sitelinks. Any ideas? The second site was built using 1&1 and gives us a good little site for what we need. I have found out through research the most popular keywords are in car camera & in car cameras. Currently Im using Adwords to get us sponsored hits which is getting us some nice traffic but costing a bit. Those are the two main keywords i want this site to really hit home with. Any advice? Also on this site, when I go to SEOmoz and select Link Analysis I get no info. It just shows 0 or 0.0 wheras my competitor sites all have values against them. Is something wrong with my site or what im doing? (Have added an example screenshot) I appreciate its a long ended question but would really appreciate some help. Hoping that the guides will help me understand all this linkjuice stuff etc as well! Thanks guys, really appreciative of any info you can provide. Nuts and Bolts Ecommerce SEO approach
Hi there, I have an ecommerce store that is just starting to rank for some good, competitive keywords. So I want to step on the gas a bit and get to the top of the search engines. What I've been doing: 1. Article marketing;
Moz Pro | | alex1030
2. Link wheels;
3. Giveaway promotions;
4. Buying expensive links from the main directories (yahoo, botw, business.com, etc) At this point, I'd like to bring in and train an SEO to do all of the above and more. Is there an eCommerce SEO 101-401 training module on this site? Or even better, is anyone willing to share a mindmap with the steps broken down? Thanks! Jon0
