Sales agents posting job listings
-
So we are in the middle of a hiring blitz looking for sales agents in different areas of the country. One of our internal sales agents used a program called Job-a-matic which appears to be a product developed or sponsored by SimplyHired. This software seems to have put our job posting on a lot strange sites really unrelated to our industry and they job description such as:
- truck driver jobs
- teen jobs
- white collar jobs
- jobs a go-go
- database admin jobs
- medical coding
and many many more
When I Google our company name I see all of these listing on pages 3, 4, 5 etc . Is it possible that Google may see these listings as spammy or paid links? It appears as if these listing were just automatically generated and not really controlled in anyway. I'm worried that they could have generated a penalty as we did experience a significant drop in traffic.
Thanks

Thanks for the response, It scared me when I first saw it but didn't really rush to do anything about but I will now.
Thanks again!

That would scare me. I would stop using that program and see if you can get the listings deleted. If not I would disavow them through Google. I wouldn't take any chances with something like this.

Ecommerce promotion: How many blog posts per week minimum for fast launch
Hello, We're trying to jumpstart our new Ecommerce site with a blog. We just launched and have 4 thorough blog posts which I'm working to refine to 10X content. Trying to make all content 10X. As you know, it's not easy. Our niche has little to no content written by competitors. We are hoping to get to about $5000/month sales with this site. How many blog posts should we launch a week (10X content) in order to take advantage of boosting our results in the rankings as fast as possible. Does it usually take 6 months? I know the more the better, but consider we only have so many resources, so I'm trying to decide if one 10X piece a week is enough, or 2 or 3. Thanks.

Directory Listing without Permission... Was your company listed here also likes ours?
We just found a backlink for our site from a brand spanking new, week-old directory site. We did not create this, so aside from submitting a request to remove it through their contact form (which we already did), do you have any other tips to get this removed beside submitting a disavow request. http://seo-company-in.com//United_States/North_Carolina/whiteboard-creations-cary-and-raleigh-nc-web-design-and-seo-service-267 Also, check to make sure your company isn't listed as well without your permission (not providing a functioning link back for them, but enter in their domain to check it out. Let me know your thoughts. - Patrick

Feedback & Advice on Blog Post
Hello Everyone, it's me again... After receiving feedback from many of you, we decided to add new and informative content to some of our more important blog posts. While the industry we're in isn't the most interesting and fun to talk about, we have always been told to just write high quality, helpful and useful content and people will find it and link naturally to it. We also believed that this would help improve the rankings of some of the inner pages on our site. So now we've spent numerous weeks updating specific posts, and still nobody links to it and still no significant rankings increase. I'd appreciate it if you would take a look at this particular post: http://goo.gl/8q4XQk and provide any kind of feedback or advice that you may have. Thanks...

Unable to build google local listings, are citations still useful?
Hello Google seems to be unhappy about letting us build google local profiles around our 'virtual locations, for each of which we have a dedicated page. We have approximately 100 'virtual locations' with addresses. I was wondering if, despite not being able to build google local profiles, it would still be worth it to build yahoo, bing, and utilize citation building services to each of those virtual locations. Would these citations in any way help bing or yahoo rank higher locally? Would the locally optimized city page rank higher as a result of all these citations? This is a service-industry based website btw.

EBay listing links SEO value?
Hi guys, Our website has an eBay widget which lots of eBay users put on their listings. We are thinking of using that as a way to get links from eBay listings. However, since most eBay listings will disappear after 90 days, is this worth doing and also will Google count those links? Many thanks David

Some questions about guest posting
After reading this on the SEOMoz blog, I've decided to try some guest posting to gain some backlinks for our real estate site. I have a few questions for those of you who do this regularly: 1. If the site you are posting on allows up to 3 links in the signature box, do you generally use them all? My gut instinct is that one anchor texted link would give me the most bang for my buck. 3. How much attention do you pay to PR or DA? If a site is PR1 but relevant to your niche would you spend the time to write the article? 4. What negatives have you found when writing guest posts? Thanks!
