Is the "Too Many Links" metric a blunt instrument?
-
The SEO Moz crawl diagnostics suggest that we have too many on-page links on several pages including on our homepage.
How does your system determine when a page has too many links. It looks like when a page as more than 100 links it’s too many. Should the system take into account the page authority, domain authority, depth of page or other metrics?
In addition, no-follow links are being included. As these are dropped from Google’s link graph, does it matter if we have too many? For example, we could have 200 links, 120 of which are no follow. Your tools would tell us we have too many links.
Feedback appreciated.

The 100 link mark is no longer a valid milestone.
You can see the Matt Cutts webmastertool video on this subject at : http://www.youtube.com/user/GoogleWebmasterHelp#p/u/4/l6g5hoBYlf0
Hope it helps.

Yeah it would seem to be a flat over or under 100 links tool.
I don't think it even takes into account the nofollow links (as in, they still count as a link) as they still reduces your PR flow - http://www.seomoz.org/blog/link-consolidation-the-new-pagerank-sculpting
It's not really a metric that you should worry too much about unless you're going overboard with it but here's some of the underlying reasoning behind it - http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/how-many-links-per-page/

I don't think that the SEOmoz tool takes into account page/domain authority when reporting the "too many links" issue at the moment. I wouldn't stress over seeing the "too many links" warning though, especially if you know what you're doing.

Performance Metrics making no sense
Hoping someone can help us with Moz Pro reporting issues that we can't see on a client page. Screenshot 2021-06-07 at 11.36.58.png Screenshot 2021-06-07 at 12.54.48.png The mobile performance metrics are awful (apparently) but we aren't seeing this at all. Both mobile and desktop sites are very fast and pages are loading in under 1s. I have attached the Moz Pro report and a google page speed screenshot to see if any can shine any light on this issue. Thanks,

Finding a list of all inbound links
Hello. I just used Open Site Explorer to find inbound links to a site. But it does not seem to list all inbound links. I will be changing a lot of urls on the site, and I would like to put in 301 redirects only for the pages that have links to them. Is there a way to find all inbound links and the specific pages they link to? Thank you!

When will links appear
When will links appear? Hi I submitted one of our products to a range of beauty bloggers and all of the reviews came back, really positive, along with links to our site. However when I run a back link report in open site explorer only one of these links is showing up even though the links all went live at about the same time. Can any one explain this in discrepancy?

I'm looking at the link history for my site and 3 competitors I am tracking and for all sites External followed links have dropped by about 40% over the last 2 months. Has anyone else seen this with their sites? What would be possible reasons for this? Thanks,

My website has MANY duplicate pages and content which are both derived from the MANY 404 pages on my website. While these are flagged in SEOmoz as "Warnings," should this be of concern to SEO effectiveness?

Open Site Explorer missing links
Hi, When the update of Open Site Explorer was released I noticed that the new version was missing a huge amount of links that the old version previously found. This still seems to be the case and it's pretty frustrating as we use the tool for our clients. Is this something that everybody is seeing and if so SEOMoz when do you think you'll have a solution? Many thanks
