Hi PureMobile, you've received some great responses. Has your question been answered?

Surely what I'm going to say need to be confirmed doing a proper audit, but your PageRank 5 may be dried by the giant mega menu you have, which is causing your site to have 421 internal followed links...
If you don't change that, all your pages are going to be too weak to compete in the SERPs, because they are literally bleeding all their PageRank out.
Related to your visibility problem, as already cited by the others, I suggest you to implement the rel="alternate" hreflang this way:
<rel="alternate" hreflang="en-ca" href="http://www.puremobile.ca/"></rel="alternate">
<rel="alternate" hreflang="en" href="http://www.puremobile.com/"></rel="alternate">
<rel="alternate" hreflang="x-default" href="http://wwww.puremobile.com"></rel="alternate">
The first line is telling Google to show only the URLs from the .ca site to users performing a Search in English from Canada.
The second line is telling Google to show only the URLs from the .com site to users performing a Search in English from all over the world (apart Canada, because of the first line)
The third line is telling Google to show always the URLs from the .com site to users performing a Search in a language other that English from all over the world.
You can find more information about the hreflang here:

First thing we need to be sure of is how you're doing your searching, puremobile. When you say "when I exact search a product for example" do you mean you are doing that search in your own browser?
Due to all the personalisation of search results that Google does, if you're doing that search from your own browser, it's pretty much guaranteed to give you the .ca results as you are searching from Canada. In fact, if you are doing a default search, you are probably searching from Google.ca which is even more likely to give you that .ca result. (Even using incognito browser mode, you'll still likely see this)
To get around this, you can set up Google.ca and Google.com as two different search engines to track rankings from in each of your SEOMoz campaign. Ideally, you'll want to set up a separate campaign for each version of your site (.com and .ca)
Still not 100% accurate as these rankings still don't take all the other personalisation elements into account, but will give you a better idea of the rankings for each site.
As Matt points out, you'll still want to do what you can to give the engines as much help understanding which site to serve which visitor as possible. That work will also be easier to track if you set up both sites and separate campaigns and track your efforts individually.
Hope that helps?
Paul

There are actually a number of ways to approach what you're doing, including implementing hreflang tags for en-ca or en-us but I'm seeing the .com here in Melbourne.
I would sort out your canonicals, hreflang, and get your pages setup to show the right one per search engine (.ca on google.ca, .com on the rest maybe.)
-
Well I'd say you've definitely been penalized. Reason being would most likely be that you have duplicate content on a massive scale. Every one of your pages are duplicated between the .com and the .ca versions without a rel=canonical tag listed anywhere to be seen.
It seems like a manual penalty seeing as how your PR is gone, so I'd keep my eye on GWMT but in any case you need to solve that duplicate content problem before you do anything.
Basically what you should do is redirect one to the other 301-style. Like.. right now would be a good time to do it!
Good luck!

Why Dropping pages from SERPS?
Our website for my olansi company in London, China has hundreds of pages dedicated to every service we provide to China local areas. The total number of pages is approximately 100. Google caters pretty well for long-tail searches when it indexes all these pages, so we usually get a fair amount of traffic when this happens. However, Google occasionally drops most of our indexed pages from search engine results for a few days or weeks at a time - for example, Google is currently indexing 60 pages while last week it was back at 100. Can you tell me why this happens? When these pages don't display, we lose a lot of organic traffic. What are we doing wrong? Site url:https://www.olanside.com

Bing search results - Site links
My site links in Bing search results are pulling through the footer text instead of the meta description (see image). Is there any way of controlling this? 2L2VusT

Another company is coming up in search results when I type in my phone number
If I search for my client's phone number on Google, without gaps, ie 02036315541, another company comes up at the top of the list. This company has a similar name to ours, but it is in a different town and it does different things. My company name is Energy Contract Renewals https://www.energycontractrenewals.co.uk/ and their company is https://energyrenewals.co.uk. As far as I can see, the other company does not mention our phone number anywhere on their site or on their GMB page so I don't know why they are coming up. We do not come up at all for this search. However, if I put our phone number in like this: 020 3631 5541, our company does come up and the other company does not. Anyone know how I can correct this or if it is even possible to do something about it?

Could a dropdown list of products dilute the page content?
Hi all, On our site, due to the fact we only have some 120 or so products split across 5 different categories we have a dropdown menu that displays all of the products in the menu. Forgetting usability for a moment, my question is whether by having links to all of products appear on each and every page (because they are in the main menu), are we diluting the content on the page. For example, if I take a particular product - the main phrase I want that page to be discovered for is "perspex sheet". This phrase does appear in the H1, H2 and within the main description of the product - but, as mentioned, each of our pages has some 120+ internal links due to the menu which contain all sorts of product names that arent relevant to "perspex sheet". The Moz report does flag a Medium issue on every page due to the number of internal links. I don't know whether I'm making a fuss about nothing, or whether this does have some serious side effects. It's an eCommerce site so of course im nervous of making changes that could have an adverse affect on our rankings. I thought there used to be a tool on Moz that showed what phrases a page was optimised for but i can no longer find that tool. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards,

Need Help On Proper Steps to Take To De-Index Our Search Results Pages
So, I have finally decided to remove our Search Results pages from Google. This is a big dealio, but our traffic has consistently been declining since 2012 and it's the only thing I can think of. So, the reason they got indexed is back in 2012, we put linked tags on our product pages, but they linked to our search results pages. So, over time we had hundreds of thousands of search results pages indexed. By tag pages I mean: Keywords: Kittens, Doggies, Monkeys, Dog-Monkeys, Kitten-Doggies Each of these would be linked to our search results pages, i.e. http://oursite.com/Search.html?text=Kitten-Doggies So, I really think these pages being indexed are causing much of our traffic problems as there are many more Search Pages indexed than actual product pages. So, my question is... Should I go ahead and remove the links/tags on the product pages first? OR... If I remove those, will Google then not be able to re-crawl all of the search results pages that it has indexed? Or, if those links are gone will it notice that they are gone, and therefore remove the search results pages they were previously pointing to? So, Should I remove the links/tags from the product page (or at least decrease them down to the top 8 or so) as well as add the no-follow no-index to all the Search Results pages at the same time? OR, should I first no-index, no-follow ALL the search results pages and leave those tags on the product pages there to give Google a chance to go back and follow those tags to all of the Search Results pages so that it can get to all of those Search Results pages in order to noindex,. no follow them? Otherwise will Google not be able find these pages? Can someone comment on what might be the best, safest, or fastest route? Thanks so much for any help you might offer me!! Craig So, I wanted to see if you have a suggestion on the best way to handle it? Should I remove the links/tags from the product page (or at least decrease them down to the top 8 or so) as well as add the no-follow no-index to all the Search Results pages at the same time? OR, should I first no-index, no-follow ALL the search results pages and leave those tags on the product pages there to give Google a chance to go back and follow those tags to all of the Search Results pages so that it can get to all of those Search Results pages in order to noindex,. no follow them? Can I canonical the same page?
I have a site where I have 500+ Page listing pages and I would like to rel=canonical them to the master page. Example: http://www.example.com//articles?p=18 OR http://www.example.com/articles?p=65 I plan on adding this to the section from of the page template so it goes to all pages - When I do this, I will also add the canonical to the page I am directing the canonical. Is this a bad thing? Or allowed?
