Finding all search terms/keywords
-
Hi everyone!
Is there a report I can run on SEOMoz that will show all of the search terms that people are using to find my site? I want to analyze where I am doing well and where I can use some work, but I'd like to have that as a starting point.
Thanks in advance!

If I get branded terms in my search queries and hardly any generic/product related search terms in GWM, does it mean my site is not optimized for product related keywords?

Jodi, the report you're looking for in SEOmoz is found in the Campaign Overview| Manage Keywords | Find New Keywords tab. This shows you what keywords are currently bringing you traffic and how many visits you're getting from them. Be sure you connect your google analytics to your seomoz campaign to get this info.

Thank you - that is exactly what I am looking for!!

Hi Jodi,
I think your best bet for finding this view of data (search terms which lead to your site) is in Google Webmaster Tools. Under "traffic" there is a page called search queries. You can download this as a csv. I use this to find out about keywords that I rank for which I may not have known about, and add them to my SEOmoz campaign for tracking.
Hope this helps!

What is the easiest way to track historical ranking across keywords?
I could not find a way to look at past data dynamically via the SEOmoz interface which would be an amazing feature. For example, people able to change the time period like in Google Analytics to see past results. Has someone developed an excel template to keep track of this data historically if this cannot be done within SEOmoz itself?

Proportion of branded keywords vs targeted keywords in anchor text distribution
Hello, I have a question about the proportion (in %) of branded keywords vs targeted keywords in the anchor text distribution of a website. Suppose if I have a website with 3 targeted keywords and 2 branded keywords in the anchor text distribution that looks like this: 1 main targeted keyword 20% 2 targeted keyword 15 % 3 targeted keyword 15 % 4 branded keyword 10 % 5 branded keyword 5 % 6 more keywords 35% The question is: What would be the best distribution in percentages to aim for the main and other keywords? Should the branded keyword % increase and (main) targeted decrease? Or something else? (I have "Opensite Explorer" and Cognitive SEO" as tools to measure.) Thank you for your answers!

Localized Search Results
I provide SEO for local service providers therefore I am mostly interesting in ranking highly in the "localized results" SERPs. Is anyone familiar with any good tools, infographics, blogs, or webinars that could be of benefit? How big of a radius do the localized results usually encompass? Are the keyword ranking reports from SEOmoz even relevant for reporting purposes? Should I include the city name (i.e. "Seattle Doctor", "Doctor in Seattle", "Doctor Seattle", etc.) in my keyword research or is this becoming less relevant? Any insight is welcome and appreciated! Thanks in advance!!
