Tool sharing sites
-
Hi All
I have a finance calculator that our IT team have built and I would like to get it distributed to sites will find it useful, I am contacting sites that I think will directly benefit from the calculator, but are there sites that I can share it on (like you would use youtube for video)?
Thanks
Sean

I'm sure there are SEO friendly "directories" out there that are exclusive to IT and/or software development. Heck Google has come out with Analytics for tracking the distribution and usage of your apps and loggr already is ahead for "web apps" in some ways.
You could approach sites such as weebly or other template websites that integrate "apps" using their own APIs, aside from getting exposure through industry or application specific directories.
Possibly, schools and universities?
And last but not least, I would make a video of how it performs, short and to point, high quality, and convince people why they should buy and tell them what is so different about it.
widgetbox and similar sites may also help you get exposure for your app.
Hope this helps

Building backlinks for a newspaper site?
Anyone have tips on building links to a newspaper site? I am looking for a strategy to create links to a news site beyond building one link at a time. We have so much content that is constantly updated that it would be impossible to do this one page at a time.

Linkbuilding to development site
We're creating a new website for a client, and we have already started link building to the pages, including some deep landing pages. Currently the site is blocked from being indexed - we're just concerned that there may be issues when we launch the site as there will be a lot of links pointing towards the pages from day 1. Are we ok to continue link building?

Is it a bad idea to build unique sites to build credibility for your main site?
It is hard to sum up the question in one line, but basically my company has bought several descriptive domains that we would like to build out into microsites that link back to our main site. For example...say we are a florist. Our main site talks about all the different kinds of flowers we have and the work we do. So the idea is to buy weddingflowersdallas.com (example only...) and have a mini site that has the same look and feel as our main site, but has unique content that talks solely about our wedding flower business and has a few links back to our main site. 1. Is this a no no from a google perspective? 2. Is this a good strategy in general? Thanks, David
