3 google map listings. How do I fix this
-
I have just started working on this website www.wallybuysell.com and I am wanting to get some feedback on how to fix a problem I have encountered. When I search for my business on Google maps there are 2 listings there. One lists the wrong website and the other one I can make changes too. Also when I search for the business in google local there is another page. Here are the pages:
https://plus.google.com/108578438913962655516/about?gl=ca&hl=en I can edit this one.
https://plus.google.com/114506363488296249715/about?gl=ca&hl=en This one I can not edit but seems to use pictures in my Google places listing.
https://plus.google.com/u/0/104789849006671458564/about This listing is asking me to send verification code.
How do I fix this ? How is this happening?
Would love some help on this one.

Hi Christopher,
Google stated in February of this year that they plan to make duplicate listing management easier in future, showing all versions of a listing in the dashboard and asking if they are all of the same business, but this has yet to materialize unfortunately. It can't happen soon enough, in my opinion!
Right now, one way to deal with this is to go to the duplicate Google+ Local pages in question and click the 'report a problem' link on the right hand side and go through the troubleshooter. You will find a radio button for 'Place is a duplicate of another place'. That would be the one to choose.
I would try that first and give it a few weeks to see if your request for removal works. If not, the second thing I would do is go to the My Listing Has Incorrect Information Troubleshooter:
http://support.google.com/places/bin/static.py?hl=en&ts=1386120&page=ts.cs
Again, select the radio button that refers to duplicates and walk through the wizard. It will ask you if you already tried reporting through the 'Report A Problem' link. This troubleshooter may actually lead you to a phone call, if you are lucky.
Be prepared for this process to take time, Christopher, and keep crossing your fingers that Google will eventually implement easier dashboard management for this incredibly common issue.

Go through the process of claiming the second and third listings and once you've claimed and verified them and they're in your google places dashboard, you should be able to delete them.

Google is not respecting the meta title
We're experiencing a peculiar situation with Google not respecting our meta <title>.</p> <p>As you can see in the first image (search result), the title <a href="http://open.iebschool.com/profesores/startups/">for the page</a> is a part of the content. This is relatevely normal for the description, but we never heard of Google doing this before.</p> <p>In the code, the <title> and meta description are correctly implemented.</p> <blockquote style="background-color: #f7f7f7; padding-top: 5px; margin-left: 0px; padding-left: 2px; padding-bottom: 5px; white-space: nowrap; overflow-y: auto; font-family: monospace; background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: initial initial;"> <p><meta name="description" content="Profesores, tutores, autores y docentes 2.0 de Open IEBS. Conoce su Biografía, experiencia, reputación, conexiones sociales y las valoraciones de alumnos."/><br /><title>Conoce los profesores, tutores, autores y docentes de Open IEBS.</title> In a further research, we discovered that the title which is using is an in anwith the following code (cleaned and simplified for the question): <hgroup> Pilar Soro

</hgroup> Note: we're correcting the code since this is quite messy, but it's the one we have now The point is that google has considered that this particular is more important than the title itself. This would make sense if we were looking for that name, but the search was simply "site:domain.com". Two things for which this is even more strange are the following: while all the /profesor/%category%/ has the same code, this only happens in some search results and not in all of them; why is it appearing in some pages, but respecting my title in others? the previous code is not the only one in the page, there are about 10 others and some are placed before and some are placed after; so, why this one and not the first or the last? What is more strange is why this article in particular and not any other of the 10 on the page since some of them are placed before and some of them are placed after. Provided this situation, we would like to know: is this a common situation? Is it happening to more people? why is it happening? Is it somehow related to , <hgroup>and ? why that piece of code and not any other article? and why is it only happening in some pages? more important, can it be corrected or can we take advantage of it somehow? Thank you in advance. Any light you can shed on this will be well received! AJ2CUSe.png?1?8232 </hgroup>0 -
Duplicate Title and Content. How to fix?
So this is the biggest error I have. But I don't know how to fix it. I get that I have to make it so that the duplicats redirect to the source, but I don't know how to do that. For example, this is out of our crawl diagnostic: | On The Block - Page 3 http://www.maddenstudents.com/forumdisplay.php?57-On-The-Block/page3 1 1 0 On The Block - Page 3 http://www.maddenstudents.com/forumdisplay.php?57-On-The-Block/page3&s=8d631e0ac09b7a462164132b60433f98 | 1 | 1 | 0 | That's just an example. But I have over 1000+ like that. How would I go about fixing that? Getting rid of the "&s=8d631e0ac09b7a462164132b60433f98"? I have godaddy as my domain and web hoster. Could they be able to fix it?

Image map crawlability
Hey Mozzer's, I'm reviewing a moving site which utilizes an image map for their service areas. As I'm new to image mapping how should I diagnose them for crawlability, effectiveness, code (which appears correct using HTML & alt text tag), what should I be looking for, etc? I'm trying to determine the effectiveness of the image map links compared to including some regular lateral links on the page. Page: http://bit.ly/KOOtgN Thanks in advance for all advice and insights.

Google places address missing
I have a google places acct that used to rank fairly well. Then i changed addresses and updated the places account. It stopped ranking and whats worse is that the address will not show up in the listing. I have gone back in and edited it, verified it, done everything, but the address does not show on the places page or google results. It shows the city but not the actual address. Ideas?
