Juicy link finder was really handy to help uncover websites, what is the alternative tool/s people would recommend?

Duplicate pages coming from links from the login page - what should we do about them?

This is a follow on to an earlier question which was well answered by Dirk Ceuppens regarding abnormal crawl issues. We are seeing that the issues relating to Duplicate Pages are coming from links from the login page which shows information about where the user was redirected from. For example, if the visitor is not logged on and wishes to wish-list an item, they will be redirected to the login page, with the item code and intended action in the url; which can then continue on to the desired page once logged on. The MOZ crawler is seeing these pages as having Duplicated Content whilst they are all the same apart from a piece of information in the URL. Should we be blocking these duplications? Are they a risk to us? What should we be doing? Many thanks, Sarah

How can i extract back link report in OSE of HTTPS domain?

Hello, Recently i was reviewing backlinks of one of the HTTPS domain and was socked to see the difference of backlinks in Majestic SEO and OSE tool. I tried a lot to find the option to explore the backlink of HTTPS domain but i think OSE is not providing that. Can anyone suggest the tool or method to find link report of HTTPS domains? Open Site Explorer WAY Off in Terms of Link Profiles?

Hey, One of our websites is www.inspireeducation.net.au. I have noticed although tools like Raventools capture our links well, Open Site Explorer is doing a terrible job... For example the following page >>> http://www.inspireeducation.net.au/courses/training-and-assessment-courses/certificate-iv-in-training-and-assessment/ has many many more than 8 root domains linking, however Open Site Explorer only presents 8? We are finding the same problem for almost any page we review through Open Site. Does anyone have any idea why the numbers would be so out? The new links are NOT fresh links. Many are well-established (been there for years), and even many newer ones have been there for more that 60 days. I find the same thing when reviewing competitor sites.. is Open Site Explorer working properly at all at the moment?

Canonical link on canonical url

This might seem a bit of an odd one, but we seem to be going around in circles on this when using the on page optimizer tool. We have an ecommerce site (magento) which by default is putting a canonical link in the header on every product page. For example; www.example.com/product1.html has the But when we run the on page optimiser tool, we're losing points on the critical section for not having canonical set correctly. If we remove the tag, we get the tick and the a grade, but then further down the report we lose a tick for not using canonical links. What are we missing here?

How can I recognize spammy links that harm my website

Hello, Can someone tell me how I can recognize links that can harm my website? I have OpenSiteExplorer and CognitiveSEO as tools to create nice backlinking reports for me. But my problem is, how do I know if a link shown on these reports can harm my website so I can remove them? Is it linktypes, low auth. links etc? Thank you for your answers in advance! When I type 'plumbing courses' into Google, why does Able Skills with these statistics: Page Authority: 57,
2,752 Links from 330 Root Domains
Domain Authority: 52,
575,594 Links from 1,211 Root Domains rank below other pages with inferior statistics?

Too many links on a page - pull-down menus

SEOMoz is showing too many links on the page (www.ankinlaw.com). There clearly aren't 100 visible links on the page. Is it counting each page found on the (extensive) pull-down menu as a link? If not, where do all the links come from?

Why is the crawler following form action links?

I have an issue with one of my sites where the SEOMoz crawler is following some form action links. It is my understanding that the crawler will ignore these links. Why would it not be ignoring them in certain cases. If you need more detail, please ask. Thanks.
