Facebook and SEO
-
Hello, recently we've noticed my companies Facebook page (www.facebook.com/dishcostsless) is not being crawled by Google. When you type in DISH Costs Less Facebook it does not show up, even when you type in the exact URL there are no search results. We used screaming frog to check out the back end of the page and there are no meta tags like there are on most FB pages. Also we noticed there were two re-directs; one from the http page to the https page, and the other directed the https page to the http page creating one giant cycle. We think this has something to do with the problem but not sure. Is there anyone who has had a similar issue, and how did you fix it? We'd love to be assured that the search engines are tracking our interactions on Facebook for SEO purposes.

Hey Kevin,
I can confirm that the page does pull up in the Facebook directory but when doing a URL search in Google, the page still does not pull up! There are no Country nor Age Restrictions on the page.
It appears that DishCostsLess is not the 'name' on neither the Facebook nor your Google +. Perhaps changing the name to "DISH TV by DishCostsLess" would help.

I haven't come across your particular situation before but I looked at your FB page and noticed the name of it is "DISH TV". I know that Facebook's open graph search is very particular to Page Names and not FB URLs. If you search for DISH TV your page does show up in FB search however. If you change your FB page name to Dish Costs Less I would assume you would get the results you are looking for. You have over 1k followers so you'll have to verify your business with them first.
On a side note. I've personally seen strong correlation between ranking a FB page in Google with having the keyword as the page name. Not saying that is correct but the pages that I manage that I do that with, have been successful. This search https://www.google.com/search?q=ac+repair+miramar+fl&pws=0 and this search https://www.google.com/search?q=ac+repair+parkland&pws=0 are both on the first page of Google. The first page has an exact fb.com/url and the second one doesn't match the title name. They both rank though. FYI
Hope this helps.
Darin.

Facebook Instant Articles - will it hurt SEO?
I am intrigued by Facebook IA and am thinking that putting some of my company articles on it would be beneficial for marketing. Question is, will it hurt SEO if I take an article that is on my website and also submit it to Facebook IA? Will it register as duplicate content in Google? Could it have other benefits/risks?

Facebook: reaching audience who have liked / shared my content
Hi, I am new to social, so the question might be a bit beginner. If I put a like / share / recommend button on my site, or maybe a comment box, how can I reach audiences at a later time, who have interacted with my plugins (liked/shared/commented)? Paid ads would be one solution, but for now I am interested in organic (free) targeting. So if people who share my content do not become fans at the same time, how can I engage them in new updates about my page? Thanks for thoughts.

My client has a Facebook profile and a Twitter account that they have abandoned. These pages also have old branding and we would like to redirect these pages in some way to the current Facebook and Twitter accounts. Pintrest and SEO
Can a company benefit from Pinrest? and if so what type of Company? I know that some companies can for example, if I sold hair supplies and I placed images of hair styles when a user clicks on my picture it directs them to my site which is relevant I know they will likely interact, However if I offer a service like an SEO service, can Pintrest hurt my SEO efforts by creating a higher bounce rate. Someone clicks on my picture or repins it when they get to my site they lose interest. Does this influence my results for better or worse? and I know that Pintrest is nofollow, so I don't expect to get any link juice from an image link.
