No data available for example.com in WMT. What to do?
-
Hi,
Our problem is simple: we have statistics data for www.example.com but some data is missing for example.com (eg."links to your site", "structured data, "html improvements") .
However, "search queries", "index status" and some other data is available for example.com.
The problem is that we have over 5000 subdomains and we see no information about them.(especially links pointing to them).
We followed every advice given by Google but doesn't seem to work:
-Adding www.example.com and example.com in WMT
-Setting www.example.com as the preffered domain
-Using DNS verification to verify our site
What do we have to do?
Thank you,
Axello

Hi Everett,
The Google Search Quality Team's response was:
"Hi,
Thank you for your email. To see link data from subdomains, you will have to verify each subdomain to your Webmaster Tools account.Sincerely,
The Google Search Quality Team
"
We have changed our content structure to a directory based structure.
Thank you for your support.

Hello Axello,
Are you still having this problem? If so, someone may need to look at your GWT setup to diagnose the issue. You can try some of the SEO companies and consultants listed here in order to hire an analyst to help fix the issue.
If you feel comfortable sharing the domain I can have a look for you to see if there are any answers to be had without logging into GWT.

Everett,
Thank you for your support.
The DNS verification was done from mydomain.com.
We are more willing to pay for this service, if your team gets the right solution.
Thank you,
Axello

Sorry for the misunderstanding Axello, but I was asking from which site account did you set up the DNS record for verification. If you did this from the www.mydomain.com account when setting it up to be verified it is possible that the code given would not work for other subdomains, since technically "www" is a subdomain. This is all relatively new for everyone, including myself, but I would try using the DNS verification method from the http://mydomain.com GWT account if you haven't done that already.
Does this make sense? I am very curious to know what the issue is too. Please keep us posted. In the meantime, maybe someone else from Moz can provide some input as well. I will ask our team if any have dealt with this.
Regards,
Everett

Hi Everett,
I think i sent the question from www.mydomain.com.
I did it again from mydomain.com. Today.

Axello,
In regard to my other question: Did you set it up on http://yourdomain.com or from the http://www.yourdomain.com GWT account?
-
Hi Everett,
We have sent a message using their feedback form one month ago. But no response.
-
Hello Axello,
Thank you for your patience as we narrow down the possibilities.
Have you sent any kind of email or help request to the GWT team?
Did you do this on http://yourdomain.com or from the http://www.yourdomain.com GWT account? If you want it to cover all subdomains you may have to do it from http://yourdomain.com.
-
Hi Everett,
The DNS verification was made almost a month ago.
Nothing seems to work.

-
Hello Axello,
How long has it been? Sometimes it takes several days, even up to a week, for the DNS changes to take effect.

Why do WMT's Search Analytics & GA's Real Time Keywords Differ?
I took a screen shot of the keywords from Google Analytics Real Time Keywords for Google / Organic. Then I waited a week and filtered Google Webmaster Tools' Search Analytics for queries with those keywords. None of them showed up. Why not? What I missing? Why do some keywords show up in Google Analytics RT for Google / Organic while most others are in Not Provided? I see WMT's Search Analytics says that it doesn't always show queries that "are made a very small number of times or those that contain personal or sensitive information." But most of my queries are like that. Anybody know any patterns / criteria that leads WMT to show some but not others? Thanks

Different transaction data social channel on Google Analytics
Hi there, On my ecommerce, in order to find out the number of transactions that came directly from my social channels I go to Acquisition->Channels and then I look at the column Transactions for the Social channel. Surprisingly this number differ from the one that I find under Acquisition->Social->Overview and then I select Transaction under Conversions. Then I look at Last interaction Social Conversions to find the number of transactions. The two quantities are totally different for a month window and they should be the same. Can any of you explain to me the reason why? Thanks and regards

Organic traffic vs. GWT data
Hi, how are you? I'm having a question becasue of an inconsistency between the data GWT gives and the one GA gives me. When I see the ammount of clics GWT tells me in february, it says 32850. When I go to Channels --> Organic Search, it says 51014. The difference is really big! Do you happen to know why this huge gap between data?

Google Analytics for example.com and www.example.com
Hello. I have had a Google Analytics account set up to track the property www.example.com for several years. In Google Webmaster Tools, I recently set the preferred domain to example.com (without the www), and we put in a rewrite from www to no-www in the .htaccess file. Should I now change the url of the property in Google Analytics to example.com (without the www), or does Google Analytics see the two urls as the same? Thank you!

No Link Data Available for this URL appears often. Are my sites too small to show up?
I am on the trial until Mar 5, 2012. I seldom get the info I want. Is it because my sites are too narrow a niche? I don't seem to be getting the data I'd like from your service. I'm trying to like it, but when I keep getting messages like this, it makes it hard to justify: "No Link Data Available for this URL appears often" Sample sites that I am unable to get data. I especially would like to know how many backlinks exist for each site. I paid someone to help me with them and I'd like to verify their work.: http://costaricadentistreview.com/ http://costaricadentistreviews.com/ http://costaricadentalimplants.org Any suggestions? What is eadgear.com?
I noticed that one of my sites has a significant amount of traffic being referred by eadgear.com. I have no idea what this site is and it seems a little fishy. Does anyone else have the same problem or know exactly what eadgear.com is? Thanks in advance!
