Content per page?

We used to have an articles worth of content in a scroll box created by our previous SEO, the problem was that it was very much keyword stuffed, link stuffed and complete crap.
We then removed this and added more content above the fold, the problem I have is that we are only able to add 150 - 250 words above the fold and a bit of that is repetition across the pages.
Would we benefit from putting an article at the bottom of each of our product pages, and when I say article I mean high quality in depth content that will go into a lot more detail about the product, history and more.
Would this help our SEO (give the page more uniqueness and authority rather than 200 - 250 word pages).
If I could see one problem it would be would an articles worth of content be ok at the bottom of the page and at that in a div tab or scroll box.

You often run into this situation with eCommerce sites - they want to add information to each product but they don't quite know where to put it.
The short answer is yes - but only if it's content that actually helps the visitor. If you can increase the value of these pages by adding unique content by all means do so. On the other hand, if the content is truly valuable, you may consider placing it on it's own page where it might attract more attention.
The thing you want to avoid is adding content just for the sake of adding content. If it's not going to increase visitor engagement then it's probably not worth doing - but I've never seen a case where adding high quality, engaging content actually hurt.

The general rule is that every post must contain 150 words minimum for news and 300 words minimum for a blog post
However I want stressless the more information give people the better Google has definitely shown preference to longer peaches shorter pages. So you're being a better source of information by giving more information
As far as the statistics that you just stated to me I have honestly no idea
You could do a 2000 word posts on each one whatever is honestly the most comprehensive and is the best for that product this is an e-commerce website I'm sending? Or this is a how-to website?

Can you add too much information?
If for example we have a page about Monitors and have a tab for each of these (I am coming up with titles so you get the point we don't sell monitors)
How to pick the perfect size (700 word)
How to pick between a graphic design and gaming screen (700 word)
How to pick a screen right for your budget (700 words)
So we end up with 2500 word pages for our products would this be good?
Basically this content is what we normally write for our blog but adding it to the page may increase the authority of it over 250 words..

Absolutely worth it you should have approximately in my opinion about 2000 words to 300 word minimum is a minimum set by Google and with 300 word really can't go to in-depth about anything. I would use a read more to open it up so you have your mission statement for the critical information above the fold you want to sell the people on what you're doing let them know instantly when they see your site so use lots of great content and don't wory about useing read more as it will work very well.

Can a duplicate page referencing the original page on another domain in another country using the 'canonical link' still get indexed locally?
Hi I wonder if anyone could help me on a canonical link query/indexing issue. I have given an overview, intended solution and question below. Any advice on this query will be much appreciated. Overview: I have a client who has a .com domain that includes blog content intended for the US market using the correct lang tags. The client also has a .co.uk site without a blog but looking at creating one. As the target keywords and content are relevant across both UK and US markets and not to duplicate work the client has asked would it be worthwhile centralising the blog or provide any other efficient blog site structure recommendations. Suggested solution: As the domain authority (DA) on the .com/.co.uk sites are in the 60+ it would risky moving domains/subdomain at this stage and would be a waste not to utilise the DAs that have built up on both sites. I have suggested they keep both sites and share the same content between them using a content curated WP plugin and using the 'canonical link' to reference the original source (US or UK) - so not to get duplicate content issues. My question: Let's say I'm a potential customer in the UK and i'm searching using a keyword phrase that the content that answers my query is on both the UK and US site although the US content is the original source.

Will the US or UK version blog appear in UK SERPs? My gut is the UK blog will as Google will try and serve me the most appropriate version of the content and as I'm in the UK it will be this version, even though I have identified the US source using the canonical link?2 -
Do I use H1 tag for logo or page content?
Should the h1 tag be used for the main page content or the logo? I understand the original method was too H1 the logo with the main search term, does this still hold true or should it be content focused?

Page Count in Webmaster Tools Index Status Versus Page Count in Webmaster Tools Sitemap
Greeting MOZ Community: I run www.nyc-officespace-leader.com, a real estate website in New York City. The page count in Google Webmaster Tools Index status for our site is 850. The page count in our Webmaster Tools Sitemap is 637. Why is there a discrepancy between the two? What does the Google Webmaster Tools Index represent? If we filed a removal request for pages we did not want indexed, will these pages still show in the Google Webmaster Tools page count despite the fact that they no longer display in search results? The number of pages displayed in our Google Webmaster Tools Index remains at about 850 despite the removal request. Before a site upgrade in June the number of URLs in the Google Webmaster Tools Index and Google Webmaster Site Map were almost the same. I am concerned that page bloat has something to do with a recent drop in ranking. Thanks everyone!! Alan

Is it okay to copy and paste on page content into the meta description tag?
I have heard conflicting answers to this. I always figured that it was okay to selectively copy and paste on page content into the meta description tag.....especially if the onpage content is well written. How can it be duplicate content if it's pulling from the exact same page? Does anybody have any feedback from a credible source about this? Thanks.

Merging your google places page with google plus page.
I have a map listing showing for the keyword junk cars for cash nj. I recently created a new g+ page and requested a merge between the places and the + page. now when you do a search you see the following. Junk Cars For Cash NJ LLC

Google+ page - Google+ page the first hyperlink takes me to the about page of the G+ and the second link takes me to the posts section within g+. Is this normal? should i delete the places account where the listing was originally created? Or do i leave it as is? Thanks0 -
Amount of pages indexed for classified (number of pages for the same query)
I've notice that classified usually has a lots of pages indexed and that's because for each query/kw they index the first 100 results pages, normally they have 10 results per page. As an example imagine the site www.classified.com, for the query/kw "house for rent new york" there is the page www.classified.com/houses/house-for-rent-new-york and the "index" is set for the first 100 SERP pages, so www.classified.com/houses/house-for-rent-new-york www.classified.com/houses/house-for-rent-new-york-1 www.classified.com/houses/house-for-rent-new-york-2 ...and so on. Wouldn't it better to index only the 1st result page? I mean in the first 100 pages lots of ads are very similar so why should Google be happy by indexing lots of similar pages? Could Google penalyze this behaviour? What's your suggestions? Many tahnks in advance for your help.

Why duplicate content for same page?
Hi, My SEOMOZ crawl diagnostic warn me about duplicate content. However, to me the content is not duplicated.
