What will you Do, if we are good at traffic to our blog and advertiser link will be no-follow - will they accept it ! and guest post also.
They need a do-follow link back to their blog or website they hired for !

Sri you "should" rel nofollow advertising links. It is as simple as that. If the "advertiser" says they won't pay if it is nofollowed then they didn't want advertising, they wanted to buy a link - which is against Google's webmaster guidelines. I'm not judging one way or another or saying anything about whitehat vs grayhat vs blackhat vs anything else. All I'm saying is a link that has been paid for, and passes pagerank, is technically against Google's guidelines. If you and your clients each go into the agreement knowing this and understanding the risk then that is up to you.

I partially agree with this.
The company I work for gets featured in lots of authoritative sites like MSN, Yahoo, NYTimes and etc. The problem here is that we get natural optimized anchor text and a lot of the times there are content partnerships with these sites where the same article is republished on their network.
So now you have 5-10 authoritative sites using the same article and followed anchor text AND you have 100 other low quality syndication sites/scrappers using the same article. This is all natural and part of how the business works in online publication. So penalizing this type of natural anchor text will become a problem in general if Google doesn't find the right way to classify this.
In no way, shape, or form are we trying to spam our anchor text, everything is natural. So this sucks a bit.
I'd be interested in hearing what others have to say about this.

Personally, I am a fan of Google's recent changes. Too many people were being employed to just spam links into everything rather then provide to help provide a good service. The more SEO/inbound marketing/whatever we are calling it today moves away from manipulation and further into a genuine facet of marketing the happier I am. SEO had a had reputation and in many cases rightly so.
As for what I intend to do, same as I have always been doing really. Trying to create a genuinely useful service for the clients of the web site, researching their needs and what they are/should be looking for when they find the site, trying to write good useful content that they find interesting in the hope that they will link back to me, without doing any real work, oh and finding people already writing on similar subjects to interact with on their sites.
I just hope Google actually enforces these guidelines fairly strictly for once as some of the sites that beat my efforts on certain keywords are still ridiculously spammy, which is quite disheartening!

Hi All, Recently acquired a competitor company. This acquired company is small in size but is the exclusive UK distributor for a gigantic Swedish company. This is the way the current domain structure is divided. swedish-supplier.se (Not owned by us - swedish supplier ) Swedish-supplier.co.uk (owned by us, operating as the swedish supplier in the UK) New-acquired-company.com (owned by us) The supplier doesn't want us to have two websites as they keep getting confused customers. Because of this we have agreed to remove www.swedish-suplier.co.uk and solely sell the product at www.new-aqquired-company.com. However, because of the sheer size of the Swedish supplier, a lot of traffic comes through to swedish-supplier.co.uk. My question is, how can we work together with the supplier to remove this domain and still maintain a good amount of UK traffic? Should we point swedish-supplier.co.uk back to the suppliers original translated web site and have them pass enquiries onto us or should we point it to our website? & What's the best way to go about it? Does anyone know where to find recently expired domains?
The title says it all. Is there anywhere I can find domains that are recently expired and back on the market? I'm thinking if the domain name is a good enough match and has had a reasonable authority that it may be worth buying and using in the correct environment...

Hotel Multi country targeting + Google Local + TLDs => "MesSEO"
Hi guys, I own a guesthouse which is facing a messy structural problem in its own web presence: Portuguese: www.residencia-aeminium-coimbra.com.pt English: www.residencia-aeminium-coimbra.com Spanish: www.residencia-aeminium-coimbra.com/espanol Looking for success in the long term, a few years ago, we decided to host 3 TLDs: 1 for global international english, 1 for local portuguese and 1 for the main foreign market Spain (we already redirected it to a subfolder in the .com in the meanwhile). We tried to promote each one of these in their targeted markets - mainly the .com got back-links links and authority. With time, google local appeared and changed the face of google accommodation rankings. Google local are now the top results for most searches, even outside the country, and I came to the conclusion that the TLD assets were now a problem. For instance, I can only add 1 domain to google local..what language should this be? It is the same for most social media presence..How should international markets be targeted in a local page? Since TLDs do not seem to be an advantage right now, I am thinking we should be moving to a single domain and use a folder structure so we can use it everywhere. Questions: 1. In terms of structure (TLD or Folder) and multi-lingual targeting what is the current best practice for hotels that show in local results but promote internationally? 2. What language should I point google local results to? And our Facebook page, etc? 3. If I move things around to a folder structure, what domain should I use? the .com is in english and has the most authority and links according to opensiteexplorer the .com.pt is in portuguese, our local language and our main market (but only 35% share) should I create a new domain ".pt"? 4. I don't think that geo-targeting the languages is worth it in this case, what do you think? Kind Regards

The site is currently accessible at the following domain extension, 'mydomain.com' and 'mydomain.co.uk'. Geo Targeting for Similar Sites to Specific Countries in Google's Index
I was hoping Webmaster Tools geo targeting would prevent this - I'm seeing in select google searches several pages indexed from our Australian website. Both sites have unique TLDs: barraguard.com barraguard.com.au I've attached a screenshot as an example. The sites are both hosted here in the U.S. at our data center. Are there any other methods for preventing Google and other search engines from indexing the barraguard.com.au pages in searches that take place in the U.S.? dSzoh.jpg

Link Building in russian speaking countries
Hello, We are an international company, based mostly in Romania and Hungary, but we also launched some websites in Ukraine. The interesting thing in Ukraine that we are facing heavily, is how they are doing link building. Basically the only link building that they do is buying links through a platform: sape.ru (http://www.mainlinkads.com/ this is English version). Local SEO consultants also advice to buy links. It wasn't so much a problem, but when you have a good site with good content, but have competitors that are buying links and then overcome our good keyword positions, we started to questions whether to start buying links ourselves. What is your opinion on this? Is it possible that Google will penalize a big bunch of sites, now in sape.ru there are: 487 069 sites? Can we adopt the same strategy as our competitors as long as it is working? Thanks, Irina

Ranking well in Google US but not showing up in UK
Hi, We are trying to position a specific site for a big sport event that will be played at the end of May. We only care about Google UK. It had no relevant content until last week. The site is a almost a year old but we just started to get links for it (all from the UK). They worked so fast: we were in page 2 of SERPs in the UK within a few days. But suddenly the site has disappeared and we're not even in top 100 anymore. However, we are ranking extremely well in the US (first page for the keywords we wanted to rank for). The site is a .com and it's hosted in Wordpress.com (with a custom URL). I understand that that can be a problem, but we have already told Google that our business is in the UK through Webmaster Tools. I guess that with time and more UK links, Google would ultimately understand that our focus is the UK audience, but unfortunately we have no time and we can't wait due to the date of the sport event. What do you think that we can do to rank well in the UK and not in the US as fast as possible? Thanks!
