Why Isnt My New Article Indexed?
-
I posted this article last night:
http://www.londontri.com/325/tomtom-runner-gps-watch-review
It didn't appear in Google's index this morning despite me pointing a few high quality links to it (not keyword optimized links, just links from high quality forum posts)
On closer examination I thought that the problem could be due to a keyword stuffing penalty so I have made sure that I am not repeating too many words/word combinations using a keyword density checker but the article is still not indexed.
Any ideas what could be going on?

I am guessing it is because of how you are implementing your breadcrumbs.
Google is using your breadcrumbs to make a rich snippet.

Hmm any ideas why the Reviews category tag is getting the Google spot and not the actual URL?
I have the Yoast SEO plugin installed on the blog and I though I set the categories to no-index!
Thanks for all of your help by the way!

Hi Ross,
I am seeing it when I do that same search.
The SERP uses Domain.com > Reviews vs the actual URL, but when I click on it, I am brought to the URL that you were looking for.

One way to get your new webpage page indexed really quickly is to write a post on your Google+ page with a link to the new page on your website.
-
Hmm sorry I didn't explain very well. When I type "www.londontri.com TomTom runner" only the main page of my site appears in the rankings. so I guess I have been hit with a penalty?

When I do a search for your URL, I am seeing that it was added to Google 17 hours ago.

Hi all, I wanted to ask what have you all done to your article section that has made a difference to the site's SEO performance? What's the criteria for deciding which articles top cut or 301 redirect to the main page For example: 1. you have a slightly irrelevant article to your website topic, low conversions, but a lot of quality links to page, but no primary keywords in article title. 2. You have a slightly irrelevant article to your website, low conversion, but a lot of quality links AND you have your site's primary keywords in article title 3. Meta tags not being displayed for Mobile version of a blog even after the blog is indexed
I have updated the meta title and meta description for my blog. After updating the meta tags, blog URL was submitted in the webmasters and it has been crawled and indexed by Google but only for the desktop version and not for mobile version. Currently, meta tags are not being displayed for mobile version in Google. I have also checked with robots.txt file, there is no problem with this file. PFA screenshots for reference. How long does it take Google to index new title tags and meta descriptions?
Hi, I have launched a website ( www.bookkeepingking.com )and would like Google to reflect the latest title tag changes in its results. How long does it typically take to happen? I believe this might be one reason why the site may not be generating any search traffic yet, even though I haven't yet begun any link building yet. A couple of notes: When I enter site:bookkeepingking.com in the search box, the pages show up, but with the old/default title and meta descriptions. I am using the Yoast for SEO plugin I have resubmitted the XML map - Yoast created 2... /page-sitemap.xml and /post-sitemap.xml The changes were made about 1 week ago. WMT says that there are zero errors. Is there something I may have missed? Or do I just need to give it more time? Thanks in advance for your help. Erin
