Why do my top linking domains according to Webmaster tools, not even appear in my OSE report?
-
I know the Google index is obviously a lot larger than the MOZ index...but....
I have 8,000 links from blogspot.com according to Webmaster tools, and just one link according to OSE
I have 600 links from an online dictionary according to Webmaster tools, not one is mentioned in my OSE report.
I'd go so far as to say most of my top 10 linking domains according to Webmaster Tools, don't even have a single mention in my OSE report.
We've been hit hard by Penguin 2.0 and I want to look at our link profile.....it seems OSE may be great for looking at my competitors link profiles, but for my own site it seems to be, well, not very accurate at all!
So from a trying to do undo the damage caused by Penguin 2.0 point of view, should I just use webmaster tools and forget about OSE?
Thanks!

I agree to Vadim you should use all tools available if necessary so that you can identify all the back links possible and remove them asap and file the reconsideration request. They way I would do it, is to start obviously with the biggest which should be the webmaster tools, and write down in an excel or a doc all the links you sorted out, and after when useing OSE and other your will see if you have all ready done that link Good luck with that

Hi Konstantinos,
This should help: http://moz.com/community/q/google-webmaster-tools-and-open-site-explorer-s-links-not-matching-up
Summary from Keri (from Moz's) response: "SEOmoz and Google use different crawlers. We're not quite the size of Google, and the server farm we have doesn't quite match theirs either. Simply put, we don't crawl as many URLs as Google, so we won't show as many links."
In terms of which to use, use all tools including OSE, GWT, Bing, and others you find at your disposal.
Hope this helps

The factors considered in the new domain authority algorithm? On-site factors we can use to compare with competitors? Is having an NA as a spam score a bad thing?
Does anyone know the factors considered in the new domain authority algorithm other than spam score and complex distributions of links based on quality and traffic? Does anyone know of on-site factors we can use to compare with competitors to try and improve DA? Is having an NA as a spam score a bad thing?

Past reports?
I have a customer report set up for a client set to send weekly. A couple of weeks ago we didn't get the report and nor did we. I can't see a reason why and I can't see a way to get hold of past reports. Does anyone have any idea of how to do this or if it's even possible?

Dashboard module in Custom report
Hello Earth I'm putting a custom report together for higher management and have added the dashboard module as a good starting point. However, all I want from it is the overall visit & visit break down and the domain authority data, all the 'Mentions Found' 'On Page Wins' 'Ranking Highlights' info is just making the report over long and less to the point. Is there anyway of taking some of the dashboard into the report instead of the whole kaboodle? Or is there another module that will give me total visits not just organic? Many Thanks in advance Chris

MOZ crawl test is not reporting on all the pages on my site.
I've run the crawl test one of the sites I've taken over SEO for, however its only picking all the pages. For instance it indexes all the pages under xxxxx/us but none under xxxxx/au or xxxxx/uk The pages are being indexed as they're ranking in Google. Thanks.

What does the green check mark mean in the KW Difficulty & SERP Analysis Report mean?
Hi, I just generated a Keyword Difficulty and SERP Analysis Report and I find that many of the metrics have a green checkmark besides them. What does that indicate? Similarly, there are many metrics which appear in green. However rest are in grey. Also help what does that indicate? Refer the attached link to the screenshot of the report. I tried looking at a couple of places for the answer but in vain.. Thanks.. DQSlssU

How Can I intreptret The Crawl Report Resulst?
Hello, I am new to Moz and I have received 2 crawl reports. The first one was ok. I made a few changes to my site plugins, and my next crawl report came up with 41 4XX errors. Basically, a lot of my posts. I went back to my plugins and saw the following plugins: 404 redirect plugin & Utlimate Tiny MCE I reactivated both. I am presuming that these must have caused the issues or maybe my site was hacked. I re ran a crawl this morning, but I don't know what the different headings mean or how to understand the report. Can anyone advise? My site is new and just started to go up the rankings...so quite disappointed with this set back. regards Chriss

Issues with on-page report
My on page reports are really bad (F´s all over the place). When I go to a specific page to check why, it seems that Moz is not properly tracking some of the key metrics. For example for the following page (https://www.iguanafix.com.ar/servicios/pisos/palermo?loc=AR.CF.CF.PA) and keyword "pisos palermo" it is tracking that the keyword is not in the title (which it is), the keyword is not in the URL (which clearly is), not in H1, again it is, etc. I guess this is what is affecting my ranking and thus preventing me from defining a strategy to improve my SEO. Any ideas much appreciated. Thanks
