Chris has some excellent answers.
When switching from a CMS to another CMS I really like to use
Here is the bare-bones method
https://www.zippykid.com/resources/kb/getting-started/migrate-from-different-platforms-to-wordpress/
is described here however the CMS to CMS application will take care of all the 301 redirects if you are using WordPress I strongly recommend using a managed WordPress hosting company. they will take care of making sure your links and much more are set to the proper settings.
One of the best is not charging until your website goes live and they are experts in WordPress as well as hosting this makes a big difference to me at least and hopefully will be helpful to you.
ZippyKid Has pricing fantastic along with outstanding service and WordPress expertise. You really get a lot for your money. Here you can try it at no cost.
Respectfully,
Thomas

xoffie,
This is a good, up to date guide on moving from blogger to a custom domain. It will walk you through the main hurdles as you make the move. www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-switch-from-blogger-to-wordpress-without-losing-google-rankings/ and what that one doesn't cover, this one does http://blogger2wordpress.com/
There's a plugin that will 301 redirect traffic from your Blogger account to your new wordpress site: http://wordpress.org/plugins/seo-blogger-to-wordpress-301-redirector/faq/

Traffic to blog home page is going down after changing my WordPress Theme
I recently changed my wordpress theme from a standard free theme to a newer theme. The home page I switched up a bit adding more calls to action to some of our top posts and leading people to popular categories and so on. This greatly improved the usability of our site as it allowed us to highlight new posts. The previous free template simply listed 10 of our most recent posts on a page with small snippets and then you had to move to the next page to keep reading. Since switching my theme the blog traffic has stayed relatively level. That being said, the specific posts traffic is going up a lot whereas the organic traffic to the blog homepage is now nearly depleted. Is this a common thing to happen or is there anything I can do to fix this issue?

What Is The Best Way To Attract Guest Bloggers
Hi, i am trying to find a way to attract guest bloggers for my site. We are looking for people to be a guest blogger on items such as gadgets, business, finance, marketing and so on, but i am not sure what is the best way to attract people. Any advice on the best way to attract guest bloggers would be great and advice if we should give them more than one link. Would love to hear from people who have been a guest blogger to find out what they would want. It has been suggested to me that a guest blogger gets one link and if they require two then they must link bac. looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

I started a Wordpress blog, google indexed it...
How long before I can see those links show up in SEO Moz for my website? What elements is SEO Moz looking for before they add the wordpress site to my linking domains report? Regards, Jeff

URL structure on moving from old nukedit site to Drupal
I am currently rebuilding a site in Drupal. The old site was in Nukedit and all the urls end in .asp. Given the new urls will not end in .asp is there any point in matching the rest of the url or will using 301 redirects (to better seo'd pages) be sufficient to minimise any (temporary) ranking loss?

What plugins & tactics are you using for Wordpress meta SEO?
Currently I use All-In-One SEO and I quite like how simple it is to setup and it's stable. Is that still one of the best ones? What are you using these days? Is it worth stripping out the superfluous meta tags that Wordpress now puts in? Is there any value to adding meta descriptions to all my Tag pages and if so, is there a good plugin that will auto magically create unique descriptions for these pages? Same goes for my paginated archives. Thanks!

How to Integrate a Wordpress Blog into my Website
We are looking at integrating a blog into our website. Unfortunately, our content management system is very clunky and not set up to quickly publish blog style content. I'd like to use Wordpress and set up the blog as a subdomain of my company website. Our URL is www.blockandcompany.com so the blog URL would be www.blog.blockandcompany.com. Is it correct to say that if the blog is set up this way, the search engines will see the regular website and the Wordpress hosted blog as one big site? I want to use the blog to write keyword-rich content, but I don't want to divide my SEO "equity" between two separate sites. Any advice?

WordPress Rankings ?
It looks for me that WordPress sites get to rank better for some reason ... I dont know wil you will agree with this one with me or not. The question is... do they hold their rankings for the certain keyword with a time? or they lose them as fast as they get them? Shouldn't be content rank the same across all platforms? Content is a content and it dosent matter how it's presented? is it the case with google? For example: Create Wordpress site for only 3 products, provide good content for those 3 products... and sell them with some of shopping cart plugins (any recommendations on the plugin?) Will I get rankings faster and keep them?
