Linking articles to each other

I've been using white-hat article marketing to post original content about my niche to credible article directories (yes, I realize many of them were recently devalued).
My question is: Is it a good or bad idea to have future articles link to older articles, as a way to increase the chances of having the older articles indexed, or increasing the amount of link juice they pass to my site (since they point to my site)?
I get 2 links per article and was thinking of using 1 to point to a prior (related) article, and the other to point to my site.

thanks for asking a valuable question about interlinking. According to my experience, it's a very good practice to make your all articles linked with one another. And the best one interlinks your articles with your ranked articles because this one make your other articles a boost to rank in search engine.
You should never leave any page orphan you have to link your all posts that make a net of your site. It is just like the Robotic screwdriving systems Because it will boom your work and ranking performance.

I have heard that a low PR page on a high PR site will gain PR quicly when linked to, and since only the first link is going to point to your site and you have 2 links to play with, why not.

Anything that is human reviewed, has editorial standards, and enforces longer word length. The opposite, which would be sites that accept anything, including posts that are less than 300 words, would not be good.
In the 'good' camp I would include
www.buzzle.com (600 word min)
www.selfgrowth.com (500 word min)
would be interested in hearing from others on which ones they use that are human-edited or otherwise have more strict than post-anything-you-want submission guidelines.

What count as irrelevant links?
I recently had a link audit done for a client selling mechanical parts. This client supplies to the mining and construction industries. The link audit showed all links on mining or construction sites as irrelevant. When I questioned about it, they explained that my client is in the mechanical parts industry and therefor Google would penalize me as those count as irrelevant links. I don't agree, but need an expert opinion. Can anyone help?

Hello, I couldn't find a clear answer to the impact on SEO for a link written in this way: [" class="expert_info" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">](w</span>ww.yourwebsite.com<span style=) [Does the "return false" act as a "no follow"? I came across this in our link data in Open Site Explorer which lists these links all as "no follows." However, an engineer I spoke to said that it shouldn't impact search engine behavior. Any ideas? Outbound links
Hi there, i know inbound links are what hold the main value in terms of link building but if i have an inbound link from a big company such as ITV or BBC and they have put an article on their site linking back to mine, would it be beneficial if i made a comment on my site and then link back to their article or will this not really help? Sorry as you can tell im very new to seo! thanks anthony

Reciprocal links
Hi SEOmoz Pros, We have vendors from whom I was hoping to get links. To make it more enticing to them I was planning to select a small number of vendors (with good site metrics-PA, DA, PR) and create a "Featured Vendor" module on some pages that would link back to the vendor's site as well--thereby created reciprocal links. I was planning to only have one vendor to a page and only for the pages that we are targeting locally. My hope is to help boost the ranking of those pages. Is it okay to offer our vendors to link back to their site or should I ask for a one-way link back to our page and pitch it as exposure for their brand?? Lastly, does Google penalize for these types of links? Thanks!

How much do other people rate Ezines as a provider of articles and incoming links. What are peoples experiences. It has to be one of the most strict article sites but does this make it the best ?

Hi If you plan to add new links to a site which currently has very few inbound links what is the maximum amount you could add in any one day before it is deemed by Google to be suspicious and unatural. I am referring ot manually added links, not robotic. Thank you 🙂
