Google Product Listing Ads and SEO

Would using the same product descriptions that are on an e-commerce website for it PLA campaign count as duplicate content? Ideally, would we want to alter the product description?

Thanks!

There will be no issues. There aren't any with regular AdWords ads and there won't be any in this case. Updating PLA content is essentially updating for search terms/phrases, similar to both PPC and SEO.
Using the same information, assuming it has strong search potential, will not impact anything outside of creating consistency of info for the user. You should be fine as long as everything is accurate.

I absolutely wouldn't worry about using the same product descriptions for your PLA's causing duplicate content issues. That being said, optimizing Ad copy is always a good thing. If you tweak your PLA descriptions and they convert better, then, woohoo! Might make for some interesting A/B testing....although, I don't know how you could do it simultaneously in Google without actually creating duplicate product listings with different SKUs. Otherwise you'd have to test them one at a time, which wouldn't probably give you scientific results.
No, I wouldn't worry about duplicate content at all with these. They are paid ads...different animal.
Hope that helps!

Google Forcing Spelling Correction For A Name/Keyword
We work for a doctor who has a common name that she spells differently than the way most people spell it. So when you put it in Google Search, Google keeps trying to say "do you mean this spelling instead?" and it corrects it, but the name I'm putting in IS the correct spelling of the name. I'm worried this is going to affect how people will find her when they type in the correct spelling of her name in Google Search. Any solutions of how we can avoid this problem?

What are SEO's using for Keyword Research?
Hey folks, I just wanted to find out what everyone is using for keyword research now that the Google Keyword Tool has been retired. I know there is a form of it in Adwords, but something a little more usable than this. Cheers,

Google keyword rankings
I show a MON icon (it looks like a calendar page) for all my google rankings. The icon is not clickable. Can anybody tell me what this is? Also, I use to be highly ranked in 100's of keywords in google now barely anything. The domain is several years old and has performed in well in the past. Can't figure out what is going on.

No KWs to target and SEO value
Hello, I'm writing some on-going Q&A type blog posts and perform KW research for each post; however, there are a few where the question is not a popular topic at all and because of this, there are no KWs to target. I've checked a few sources. The question needs to be answered and i'm trying to get as much SEO value as i can. Just wondering how have you gone about this? Just answer the question and it will naturally target the long tail?

Is there any sites other then Google Insights which have cataloged search volume for particular queries over time?
I know Google Insights gives this data, but the fact that it's relative to overall search requests make it very difficult to see anything other then obvious trends (Toys sell better in November, go figure?). Each query I've looked up[ is showing degradation over time, but I'm postulating that this has more to do with search volume increasing then with the volume of my queries decreasing.

Discrepancies between SEOMOZ's Google api exact match search volume results and google's keyword tool, why?
I'm finding major discrepancies between SEOMOZ's google api exact match search volumes and Google's own keyword tool, why? For example, 'bridge loans' gets 1300 searchs according to Google's keyword tool, but SEOMOZ says it only gets 210 (both on exact match). So which one do I believe? I know one is the average over 12 months and the other is for last month alone but still that's a huge difference.
