Schema.org Organization Logo markup
-
Hi Guys,
Does anyone have an example of a site using schema.org Organization logo markup (as per: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com.au/2013/05/using-schemaorg-markup-for-organization.html), with the logo appearing in Google SERPs?
One of the designers is pressing me ofr an example. I've found plenty of brands getting their logo in the SERPs knoweldge base results, but they have all been using G+ verified company profiles, or other methods (Googs simply selecting a best fit?) to achieve it.
Thx!

Thanks Robert, appreciate the reply.

David,
The important part of what you have here is that you add a result: ...with the logo appearing in Google SERPs? While Google may be considering it given your link, I do not yet see it, but we act as if they will. They will show in the knowledge graph, from your G+, etc.
We utilize structured data at every turn possible and I have yet to see a logo result in the serps. (Obviously, I do not have a client in every web vertical so that is a limitation). But, think a second about to whom a logo result is very important - big box retailers, Nike's, News Outlets, etc. Do a search on these and you will see there is no Nike logo result showing up, etc. (I do a few of these searches as my son plays HS Basketball)
If you use the structured data testing tool in GWMT, you should be able to see if your markup is correct. I have attached a shot with redaction of the markup on one of our pages. Note the arrow points to Logo from the structured data test page. Note the largest redacted url is where the image is pulled from.
If you are wanting to be a bit ahead of the curve, I would suggest you simply tell your designer that while it does not yet appear to be showing anywhere, by including it, your client/company/etc. will be ready. As to the image of the logo this particular one is a file of about 200-300 kB with dimensions of 800 x 532.
Hope that helps you out,
Robert

Ogranization Schema/Microformat for a content/brand website | Travel
Hi, One of our clients have a website specific to a place, for eg. California Tourism in which they publish local information related to tourism, blogs & other useful content. I want to understand how useful is to publish Organization Schema on such website mentioning the actual Organization, which in this case is a Travel Agency? Or any other schema would fit in for such websites?

Decline in organic but all other sources up--should i be worried?
We migrated to a new CMS in Feb (put in redirects as needed). Since the migration, organic traffic is down 11% YOY, but direct is up 22%, FB referrals up 1,000% and PPC up 500%. Page views are up 35%. Should I be worried about the decline in organic traffic?

When I do the site:www.prams.net they appear but not in the search results anymore. We have a french site as well. www.poussette.com, their it still works. Has anybody got tips what we can do to make the stars appear again? Thanks in advance. Dieter Lang

Product Schema & Google Guidelines
Hi We have product mark up on our site, data-vocab rather than schema. I can't see it showing in Google SERPs, but when testing it appears to be correct. Are Google still selective with what schema they show for a site? Thanks

Organic search traffic dropped 40% - what am I missing?
Have a client (ecommerce site with 1,000+ pages) who recently switched to OpenCart from another cart. Their organic search traffic (from Google, Yahoo, and Bing) dropped roughly 40%. Unfortunately, we weren't involved with the site before, so we can only rely on the wayback machine to compare previous to present. I've checked all the common causes of traffic drops and so far I mostly know what's probably not causing the issue. Any suggestions? Some URLs are the same and the rest 301 redirect (note that many of the pages were 404 until a couple weeks after the switch when the client implemented more 301 redirects) They've got an XML sitemap and are well-indexed. The traffic drops hit pretty much across the site, they are not specific to a few pages. The traffic drops are not specific to any one country or language. Traffic drops hit mobile, tablet, and desktop I've done a full site crawl, only 1 404 page and no other significant issues. Site crawl didn't find any pages blocked by nofollow, no index, robots.txt Canonical URLs are good Site has about 20K pages indexed They have some bad backlinks, but I don't think it's backlink-related because Google, Yahoo, and Bing have all dropped. I'm comparing on-page optimization for select pages before and after, and not finding a lot of differences. It does appear that they implemented Schema.org when they launched the new site. Page load speed is good I feel there must be a pretty basic issue here for Google, Yahoo, and Bing to all drop off, but so far I haven't found it. What am I missing?

Okay. So I had the top spot for organic rank ( # 1 position ) above the places section. Now it has been eliminated and I am in the top spot for just the places section. What gives?
So i dont just want to be number in the places section.
