The effect of a links from a search engine?
-
Hi everyone,
Iv recently been conducting a link analysis on one of my sites, I downloaded the list from web master tools, but iv noticed a number of links coming from a search engine websites. At a glance there are maybe 10-15 links from these search engine sites each with a slightly different domain name (e.g: 10search.com, 20search.com, 30search.com etc.) but the same design, same logos and similar results.
What effect would these links have? and should I remove them?
Thank you in advance

Yes,
These sort of links may hurt your website, you need to remove or let it place nofollow under the link tag.
My bet is to remove only. It's not going to help, single link is enough from 15 links . -
Hi,
First of all you need to find the links on one of those sites and see if the link is set on no-follow (Web master Tools is showing in the list both do follow and no follow links). If those links are no follow then you should forget about those and focus on something else. If the links are do follow and your link profile is not very strong all together then you can/ should deal with those as it can hurt you even if you had nothing to do with those and the easiest way to handle those is just to disavow - no need to waste time in contacting the sites or looking for removal forms and so on.
Hope it helps.

Link Building
Guest blogging, guest blogging, guest blogging. Since I started my career as a "brand manager" I've heard the term "guest blogging" at least a million times. So I've put a fair amount of energy into it and for a long time it worked beautifully, still is in many ways. However, in the last month or two nearly every blog I have contacted about guest blogging has said that "due to an increase in guest blogging request we are now charging a fee of x" so on and so forth. Doesn't paying for links put you at great risk for being deindexed? And can't bloggers get in trouble for this as well? Do they not know, not care or think it doesn't apply to them? And if it's a sponsored post, say I send them $100 of free product and pay them $100 to do it, isn't that just hiring someone to talk about my brand? Why would google punish me for that? Anyway around it? Thank you so much! I look forward to your suggestions/advice/criticism.

Changing links
Hi guys i wanted you views on changing the anchor text of links. I have quality links coming in but with year terms such as 2012 in there, if i want to change them all to 2013 for example would it be badly seen by Google? I cant say i feel comfortable about doing it but they are my links and are related to our products. Any advice much appreciated.

Completely lost in linking.
Hi Guys, Really new to SEO, but i'd like to think learning quickly. The question: I really want to build up the linking profile for our website but I don't really know how to go about it. We have many good relationships within the industry and i'm sure I could obtain some reciprocal links. The things is - where do I display the links on our website? I could create a 'hidden' page for purely links, but is this a bad practice and frowned upon? Also is this the best way to obtain good, authoritative links? I am assuming that linking to people with a root authority of 30/40+ would be beneficial. Or am I just plain wrong/out of my depth?! Honestly any help at all would be so appreciated.

How can I verify who links to me?
I need to verify all the inbound links I have coming in to my site. I've tried using OSE but have been told it does not scrape many smaller sites so cannot be sure of it's accuracy (especially since when I ran it, it returned a small % of the link i know are out there). Is there a way to do this in Analytics? Or another way? Thanks

Link to those that link to you? Worthwhile?
We have thousands and thousands of sites that link to a domain we are working on, many with low page authority and high domain (bloggers, forum posts, etc). Has anyone experimented with linking to the pages that link to you (not from your site) but from other means in an effort to boost their quality? I'm not sure what method we would use, maybe some relevant blog comments or social votes. But curious if this could be an effective method.

Directories and Link Building
I was reading a post by Eric Enge, http://www.seomoz.org/blog/role-of-directories-in-link-building and nobody talked about in the comments, so I want to see what you think: Considering that get some bad links from punished directories is bad for your site, it's worth to use site submissions softwares, like SubmitEaze, that promisses a 1,000 submits?

RSS links vs. contextual links
Which has more value? Passes more "link juice"? Auto generated rss links or contextual links?
