Anyone know if seomaximus.com is good for linkbuilding
-
hi guys i find a service seomaximus.com want to know if anyone use it and if its good?
-
Adulter,
Whenever I'm wondering about a site like this, I just pop up the MozBar or use Open Site Explorer. When I see a 15DA and 36 total links, I walk away. I look at it this way - if their techniques work, why aren't they using them on themselves?
Anyone have thoughts on this technique for identifying quality SEO consultants?

i am not affiliate marketing only promote my educational site leed generation tipe of busnisse
-
very well said...even in the micro niche area now affiliate marketers say "BUILD CONTENT" and treat your money site like a business. Industry is changing, google ban web sites with lots of amazon affilaite links etc. Content is king, period.
btw i assume he is not an affiliate marketer either. i have no idea if thats the case. I just put on my newbie glasses on and remember back in 2000 how I was trying to find a good software to rank me high after my onpage SEO was done lol
-
I assumed that he wasn't an affiliate marketer, hence me telling him this service isn't "above board". Link building for affiliate marketing is exactly what this type of service is for. I didn't read the sales pitch enough to draw the conclusion that they were specifically targeting affiliate marketers, but I suspect you're right.
Either way, we both agree, if he's not an affiliate marketer looking for some quick hit rankings that will very quickly die, then he needs to run from any of the services like this one.
Hey, I still have some MFA sites floating around resulting in Adsense checks each month, so I'm no stranger to the shady link building industry. I just avoid it like the plague when it comes to my actual ecommerce sites and for our clients. Actually, I avoided it even for my Adsense sites, hence the fact I'm still getting checks, even after not touching them for quite literally years.

thanks Yiannis

Hello adulter,
A small clarification here. As Ted said in general software link building techniques must be a no-no for anyone who is building his/her brand on-line. you need to follow the build-content root and stick to it and high quality links will come your way. If however you decide to submit links allow me to suggest you do this manually and not via a software.
Now in regards to seomaximus I will disagree with Ted to a slight extend as the web page you visited is showing as an example a "money web site". Money web sites are normally affiliate web sites, MNS (micro niche web sites) with 1000 searches per month and low competition or sites that are built with a purpose to rank for 2-3 months (for example a xmas shop), get some cash in and then get abandoned. This is their target audience, it is stated on their advert (for those who know about affiliate sites its pretty obvious) and it works really well. If your profile belongs to one of the categories I just mentioned then sure software will do the work. If you are going for a long building strategy as Ted already mentioned NO and STAY AWAY. You will get banned sooner or later and then all your efforts will be abandoned.
When it comes to online marketing people think it must be cheap due to internet's free nature. This is a mistake and a no no. you get what you pay for, same with offline marketing. The more you spend the bigger audience you reach, the more results you bring etc.
Hope this helps

A ton of people within this community, us included, provide link building services. I never plug link building services simply because it's a very personal thing. Not everyone's service will fit your particular business model.
You could private message me your details and needs and I could possibly point you in the right direction, whether that be point you to a couple of places we outsource to, or maybe we could help you directly.
But in the end, if you're budget is super-tight, maybe it would be better to be "consulted" on how you can best spend your own time building links. For companies that have very minimal link building budgets, I find just an hour or three of consulting time on how they can effectively link build on their own almost always pays off the best for them.
-
understand thanks but can you recomand some good link building services?
-
In the world of link building, cheap is almost never effective in the long run. Quality link building by its nature is almost never cheap. If you're looking for cheap, the best thing to do would be to do it yourself. Otherwise you'll have to shell out some decent money in order to get the job done right for you.
-
no pushing just want to know if is good of anything i am looking for an efective link building service .. white hat and cheap ...and came acros of this and from description look good... but now after what you taled me i am not so confident with them..
-
GhostRank also claimed their links were white-hat. And believe me when I say they weren't.
I mean, part of their sales pitch is "Rank Any Site With Our Quality 100% Safe BackLinks"
I've never heard of a reputable SEO firm claim you can rank any site through their link building efforts. It's just not a claim in the SEO world you can make, at least not for the price they are doing the links for.
$50 for any link building plan is rarely ever going to help you. However, I suspect you're just pushing SEOMaximus' service and that this post will be yanked as it smells of spam to me.
-
this is is not a blog network ot buying links they creat links from web2.0 pdf submision, wiki links , web2.0 profile , edu blogs and more they creat the links they say are white hat links...
-
After looking further, towards the bottom 1/3 of their 1 page site, the My name is Maulana T and his picture is a weird avatar? I'd stay very far away from them. He's hiding behind a cartoon character.
I mean, c'mon, their based out of Indonesia (that's kind of a joke, but kind of serious).
-
My guess would be NO. Now don't quote me on that for sure, but after visiting their site, to me it smells of a link network like GhostRank (that Matt Cutts and cronies just demolished) and that (a) YES, it would absolutely improve your rankings for a bit but (b) that once it's found it will surely get you an email from Google Webmaster Tools stating that they have found some shady links in your profile. Granted the (b) scenario isn't as bad as it sounds as they usually just notify you they won't be counting them anymore, but that does not in any way look above board.
When it comes to shady link aquisition which I assume this could be classified under, I think it's always better not to take part. At best you'll get a small boost for a while (maybe even a big one), but it will be short lived because at some point those links will be devalued and you run the risk of getting your site hurt.
And it's kind of like pi$$ing into the wind to some extent.

Something happened within the last 2 weeks on our WordPress-hosted site that created "duplicates" by counting www.company.com/example and company.com/example (without the 'www.') as separate pages. Any idea what could have happened, and how to fix it?
Our website is running through WordPress. We've been running Moz for over a month now. Only recently, within the past 2 weeks, have we been alerted to over 100 duplicate pages. It appears something happened that created a duplicate of every single page on our site; "www.company.com/example" and "company.com/example." Again, according to our MOZ, this is a recent issue. I'm almost certain that prior to a couple of weeks ago, there existed both forms of the URL that directed to the same page without be counting as a duplicate. Thanks for you help!

Are these good backlinks?
I am trying to understand how to build good backlinks. I've read or been told that anchor text is bad (understood), websites with unrelated subjects is bad (understood), paid-for links are bad (?), "submitted" and article to get the link is bad (?), or it is a link/farm directory are bad (?). This is actually really confusing to me! Please bear with my silly questions, I am an engineer with an MBA, stay-at-home/homeschooling mom that helps run my husbands business. My brain gets full fast! Ha! I thought maybe if I post some of the links we have built, someone could look at them and tell me if they are good or bad. This way I can go forward understanding better. Articles... I thought that writing articles was a GOOD thing! Now I see that submitting articles isn't? So what about these two articles where my husband, as an expert in his field, wrote an article for a popular mag/blog. http://coastalanglermag.com/red-snapper-season/ (they did the hyperlink wrong and I am trying to get the publisher to fix it) http://www.bdoutdoors.com/article/shark-encounter-capt.-gregg-rapp/ (this is a pretty funny story if you read it) Blog stories... what about when someone copies your blog post as a story on their website? Or someone scrapes your content? http://jeremyrymill.tumblr.com/ http://www.bdoutdoors.com/article/heart-pressure/ http://www.sportfishermen.com/board/showthread.php?t=2627767&p=3294972 (we post fishing reports and they get copied) Un-related Directories... http://www.mobileresources.net/mobi/Glowing_Deep_Sea_Fish/ (I didn't create this!!! I guess they just crawl and link?) Related "farm" Directories http://www.sportsmansresource.com/ffishtarpon.htm Other directories/citations such as yellow pages, city search, etc. These are okay right? Local hotels and what not... concierge's link to me, I don't even ask them to http://laquintacocoabeach.com/things-to-do/index.cfm Paid - I pay for MOZ Local! Isn't that paying??? AND, I paid for a whois listing on enom... is that bad too? NOW FOR THE BAD.... these are bad right? http://darman.niniyoo.com/Sea-Leveler-Sport-Fishing-Charters-Inc-FL.html (I have no idea how this got there) http://teensnow.comwww.whoisbusinesslistings.com/Other/10/23490/Sea-Leveler-Sport-Fishing-Charters.html (what the heck is this??? how can they even append a website on a website?) http://forums.gq.com.au/member.php?u=1813973 (I think this was created on my behalf by my part-time SEO) If you have read all the way down to here, my sincerest thanks! Thank you for your time!

How Many Words in Content for Good SEO?
I have heard it's best to have 400+ words of content for strong SEO per page. I believe this is true for the most. I have a project in mind, however, that I am considering doing 100-200 words of content per page. This is for a glossary of terms for my industry, where I have a unique page for each term that describes what that term means w/ 1 image and a few links to related products. Is having just 100-200 words going to be enough? Each page will still be unique, original content. Or is it best to really try for longer articles? In other words, is there a general rule for # of words per page for search engines to see the page as valuable and unique and to give it good ranking? Give me a BIG THUMBS UP if you found this question useful. It won't cost you anything! Thanks!

Would it be ok if my ccTLD (.au) has links pointing to my .com (main) site?
The main pages of my .au site are all in .au, but once you go to the inner pages, the users will be directed to my .com site. The .com will act as the content for the top pages of the .au. Would that be ok?

What are the different tactics for getting ranked/ included in Google finance searches such as http://www.google.com/finance/company_news?q=NASDAQ:ADBE
I don't know what ranking factors they are using for this feed. The results vary greatly from a search done at google.com or google.com/news and google.com/finance I'm working with a website that regularly publishes finance-related news and currently gets traffic from google finance. I'm wondering what we can do to optimize our news articles to possibly show more prominently or more often. Thanks
