So Google encrypts keywords... so what! just look in webmaster tools...

Buongiorno from 11 degrees C very cloudy & dull wetherby UK
With Google encypting all organic search terms and (Not Provided) appearing like an unwanted rash of eczema doesnt the panic end when you just get that data from Webmaster tools?
Maybe ive got it wrong but isnt all the organic keyword data sitting in webmaster tools any way? so in the words of Lance-Corporal Jack Jones - Dont Panic!
Any insights welcome

It's true that you can see search queries in Webmaster Tools - but don't forget that it will only show you queries that you already rank for. If you want to research new keywords to target you will need to use another tool. Check out my recent blog post http://moz.com/blog/keyword-volume-tools for more on that topic.

Rand said in his blog that you will need to combine the data from WMT and Adwords to be able to view your organic search queries. Unfortunately Google now seem to have removed the organic search queries from their reports!
That leaves us with only AdWords data. Seems like a shrewd move from Google to encourage more people to spend via AdWords.

Hi there, since 24th of September (though started on 23rd), Google Webmaster tools account does not show anything in the Search Queries section. There is absolutely no data in there
Definitely not a time to press the panic button as there is nothing that we can change from Google's end, we SEOs, now need to look at other SEO KPIs. Just another nightmare...and the journey goes on.....
Best,

Hi Nightwing.
So far only thing made us a little bit optimistic was Rand`s post about it. Seems like it is possoble to deal with it is to combine the data and pay for adwords (not 100 percent)
http://moz.com/blog/100-percent-keyword-not-provided-whiteboard-tuesday
And there will be a big difference between talented and untalented while combining and reading the data. We can make difference with rhe help of moz we bet
They are well aware of what is going on so they will adjust as much as possible.
Still scary and getting more and more scary tough

Keyword Planner not showing exact match
hi guys I'm currently trying to optimize a site for 'Recruitment Agency North West' when I enter his term into keyword planner it gives me no results for the exact match, but offers me figures for 'Recruitment Agencies North West' Am I to assume that nobody has ever searched 'Recruitment Agency North West'?!!! and that I should be focusing on 'Recruitment Agencies North West' as my main key phrase? Is there another site other than keyword planner that will give me results for 'Recruitment Agency North West'? cheers M

Different Blog Articles - What about Keywords Cannibalization?
Hi everyone, I have a question in regards to blog articles and long tail keywords variation. I usually create landing pages for the services of my business and create related topics for my blog with long tail keywords (tips, best practice, etc.). However, by using this method, I am a bit worried about the ranking of the different pages/blog posts. _(See Attachment - in this example, I tracked it with Serplab. MOZ keywords tracking is giving me the same result anyway). _ I created a blog post with a related topic 'office interior design tips'. Unfortunately, when looking at the ranking, the previous page (office-design) is not ranking anymore for this keywords and instead, the blog post office-interior-design-tips took his place. It moved from position 11 to 29 only because I created a blog post related to the topic. Therefore, what happened to the previous page? Does it stop to rank for this keywords once there is another blog post that is related to it? How can we avoid this fluctuation of ranking due to cannibalization? One can assume that by creating relevant content related to this topic, it should rank higher no? Thanks in advance for your answers. serp.png

Keyword question
I am trying to rank for the long tail keyword "Personal Injury Lawyer Vancouver". If I want to still rank for this keyword can I add an "in" in between lawyer and Vancouver and can I make Lawyer plural? Will this give me the same results? THanks, Jonathan

Is the Adwords keywords planner accurate ?
Hey guyz,
Keyword Research | | atakala
As you guyz do, I base all my seo effort into the keywords' traffic and quality which I can get from Adwords Keywords Planner.
But this post has confused my mind .
It' says the average searches doesn't exactly the average searches.
And everything is okay here now I can say that of course it's not %100 accurate.
But the shocking part is he gives an example of how a big gap there is between real searches number and adwords keywords planner tools give us . What do you think guyz?
Can it be true ?
(And also last time I asked a question, Randy has replied me, If possible please Randy do it again :D.)

Keyword Planner - search volume for keywords seems to be off. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
Using Keyword planner, I am seeing search volume results which to me look somewhat odd. Anyone else experiencing this? How is this different to the keyword tool used before?

Trying to avoid Keyword Cannibalization
I have a navigation menu at the top of my page with drop down menus that lead to different pages of my web site. Very typical navigation. If I have a page that is optimized for a particular keyword, lets say "Awesome Blue Widgets", do I want to remove that link from the navigation menu on the page awesome-blue-widgets.htm since the link uses the keyword phrase "Awesome Blue Widgets'?
