Can you duplicate on site Blog Posts to Google Plus
-
I have read from an authorative source that you can duplicate your blog posts on your google plus account without issues as google knows that this is your 'property'.
is this correct and what would be the value in doing so?
until we have need sign posting new blog posts with a link.

Hi no this isn't what I meant, I have authorship sorted.
i think I read on Copyblogger that it was a good tactic to re post your blogs on google plus without google penalising you for duplicate copy, in order to engage your google plus following rather than just drop a link ?

I believe you are referring to Google Authorship or Google publisher which allows you to associate your content with your Google+ profile. To implement you just need to add a small line of code or can even just use the Rich snippet highlighter in webmaster tools.
Once you have added this you need to confirm that the article was produced by you in Google+ and appears on your time line.
Hope thats helpful.

How can a site with no content, non SEO optimized or any value rank better?
I understand there are many more variables to rank #1, but this site is currently #1 for one of our top keywords and I really don't understand what they Competior site barely has 200 words on any given page, very few content other than images with no ALT tags, titles, No H1 tags. in other words the website is not SEO optimized. My site has content, product descriptions, images, relevant titles, and definitely more optimized than competitor. My site VS competitor Total pages: 246 (me) vs 49 (them) Page Authority: 34 vs 26 MozRank: 5.3 vs 4.5 MozTrust: 5.7 vs 5.4 Domain Authority: 22 vs 17 External Links: 65 vs 7 Internal Links 152 vs 1 Followed Links 14 vs 5 More C-Blocks 14 vs 4 Total Social Shares: 127 vs 4

Blogging for backlinks
I have a real estate website. I would like to start blogging on blogs not related to real estate. I like reading web design, html, css, php, word press etc... blogs. I want to start talking to the bloggers using my real name (not keyword anchor text) on their blog. I'd like to have authentic conversations; however, will this confuse google about my site? If I am using my name as anchor text on sites about webdesign and linking back to a real estate website, what will that do to the SEO? It's also important to consider one other detail. I have determined through link building in real estate related fields that it's really hard to find good domains/page rank when compared to the fields above. I could get a dozen great links in 10 minutes on the above subjets AND be legitimately engaging in conversation with my name, not keywords... Does the invention of "author rank" make this more viable?

Promoting a Technical Site
I have to promote a manufacturer's rep site. They deal in process control instruments, and they don't have much original content. Creating it is hard for me due to the technical nature of the business. If any Mozzers have an idea I'd love to hear it.

We have one particular blog post that is very popular. How can we direct that traffic to other parts of our website?
We have one post in our blog that receives a large amount of traffic. Does anyone have suggestions on how to get people to click through to other posts and sections of the website? I'd like to learn how to harness that power. Thanks, Hill

The Value of Off-Topic Guest Posts
Hi Mozzers! So the dilemma I am facing right now is getting links to deep pages on our site. One possible idea is guest posting on blogs with good domain and page authority. However, what if the blogs have good domain and page authority but they are off-topic or not really related to your site's main topic. How much will these links be devalued and could this hurt you by appearing manipulative? Thanks!
