Meta Description issue
-
Hi Guys,
I'm going through my campaign report and i seem to have an excessive amount of missing Meta descriptions. How ever when i check the backend the descriptions seem to be present
http://www.health2000.co.nz/shop/allergies/lung-zone/p5152/c55
Can any one explain to me why this is occurring?

Nope, these are unrelated issues. The lack of meta descriptions is an error in your code.
-
Thanks Federico,
Could any of the above issues that you list be responsible for the Meta Descriptions not appearing?
-
EDIT:
You should check your entire HTML code, there seems to be lots of issues there, for example:
- The tags do not have closure tag ( NO), just like the image tags.
- You have JS syntax errors.
- Your site seems slow from my end, consider gzip compression and minifying and unifying resources.
-
Your site in fact lacks of lots of meta description. In the page you posted, you have the OG:DESCRIPTION tag, but not the description tag. If you are using some kind of CMS make sure you have the description tags active, the content could be the same as the one in the OG:DESCRIPTION.

How do can the crawler not access my robots.txt file but have 0 crawler issues?
So I'm getting this errorOur crawler was not able to access the robots.txt file on your site. This often occurs because of a server error from the robots.txt. Although this may have been caused by a temporary outage, we recommend making sure your robots.txt file is accessible and that your network and server are working correctly. Typically errors like this should be investigated and fixed by the site webmaster.https://www.evernote.com/l/ADOmJ5AG3A1OPZZ2wr_ETiU2dDrejywnZ8kHowever, Moz is saying I have 0 Crawler issues. Have I hit an edge case? What can I do to rectify this situation? I'm looking at my robots.txt file here: http://www.dateideas.net/robots.txt however, I don't see anything that woudl specifically get in the way.I'm trying to build a helpful resource from this domain, and getting zero organic traffic, and I have a sinking suspicion this might be the main culprit.I appreciate your help! Thanks! 🙂

Unusual "internal links" causing SEO issues?
Hi all, I'm working on an ecommerce site which has been around for almost 20 years. Over the years it has started to suffer in Google's search results and the decision was recently made to completely overhaul the site. We're now very happy with the website's design, and care was taken to maintain page rank via 301s, etc. However, the site has just fallen off the bottom of Google's first search result page (for the first time in years) for our main keyword. I signed up here in the hope of using Moz's SEO tools to help us return to our former glory, but I'm seeing some confusing results: I've run a crawl test on our site, as well as on our two biggest competitors. One thing that really stood out was that we have over 1000 "internal links" to our homepage, whereas our competitors both have around 20-30 (both of which appear at the top of the first SR page). Since the rest of the "on-page SEO" looks OK, I suspect that this could be causing our problems, but I don't understand where this "internal links" number is coming from. Links to our competitor's homepage appear in the navigation bar on every single one of their product pages (which they have about 500 of), yet your report only claims that they have 30 links. The only link to the homepage appears in the site's main navigation bar (which obviously appears on every product page - exactly as it does on our competitors' sites). Additionally, almost every other page on our site apparently has 0 "internal links" and 0 page authority. Is this a problem with Moz's crawl test tool, or is our site actually at fault? The above has been asked directly to Moz staff, but I haven't had a reply. I'd hugely appreciate any words of wisdom from the community. Many thanks in advance. Nick

No Meta Description - but I see them??? Confused. :-(
Hi all, I just looked at my Moz report, and there are a whole lot of things wrong. No meta descriptions, duplicate content, etc. I am using Yoast SEO. My problem is, I then jumped into GWT and it paints a completely different story. Any thoughts? Thanks. Hugh moz.png

Meta Robots "Index, Follow"
In my MozBar under "General Attributes" it says "index, follow" next to Meta Roberts for one of our client's websites. I've never seen "index, follow" before. I've seen it say "not found." What does index, follow mean and is that a bad thing? I know the reason should be obvious but this site has had a lot of problems and I'm wondering if this is related.

FollowerWonk Issue?
Used followerwonk to do a Comparison of followers of my brand and two competitors. the question I have is Retweets, Contacts, and URL tweets are broken in percentages all equaling 100%, but how are these calculated to begin with? are each of the three categories compared to social authority or to each other? Basically, I ran it on my brand and it says there are 0% of retweets, when I know there are at least 6 retweets done by the brand.

Issues adding keywords to MOZ analytics
Hi All 🙂 I've started a couple of campaigns in MOZ Analytics, one accepts keywords the other looks like it does but doesn't actually add them.. I'm pasting a group of keywords, about 30, all separated with comma's. Doing exactly the same to one account that congratulated me straight away and added them to the list below, yay! The other shows the spinning wheel for a few seconds and does nothing further, I've waited a good 24 hours and they keywords have not appeared. Any help appreciated! Thanks 🙂
