How to associate landing pages to specific key phrases on my report cards
-
On my on-page optimization reports, all my key phrases are related to my index page. Is that a way I can associate specific key words to specific landing pages automatically, without having to go to on-page report card and insert the landing page address all the time? The reason why I am asking this is because my marks are low, because associates with the index which is not optimized for some specific key phrases.

Generally speaking index pages have a lot more trust and link-juice than sub-pages. That's why part of link building is making sure you have some quality links pointing to 2nd and 3rd tier pages as well as the home page.
For example, if your home page is about "Basket Weaving" and your sub-pages are about "Underwater Basket Weaving" - you would need to make sure the "Underwater" page has a bunch of relevant links, otherwise your "Basket Weaving" page is going to trump it.
Can you PM me your specific URL and the keyword examples? I can give you a more specific answer then.

Just one more thing. On a specific word "example" I have my .example page scoring an A and my ".index" page scoring an F how come my ".example" page don't rank and my .index page places 2nd. This is what is happening with the majority of my words and phrases.

Thank you Davis. Yes it does help.

Juliantile,
The on-page optimization reports are graded based off the index page because that is the highest ranking page in the SERPs for that term. The only way to do this automatically is to get your specific pages to rank higher than the index does for those terms.
From the SEOmoz help files :
The On-page summary automatically generates reports for any of your campaign keywords that rank in the top 50 of your primary search engine. The URL that it grades is the same URL that appears in the search results.
For instance, if you have 75 keywords ranking in the Top 50, you should have 75 On-Page Reports. This generation happens automatically within 24 hours of when your rankings are updated.
If you want to grade your specific landing pages, the only way to do that is with the custom report tool as you are doing now. Hope this helped!

Unsolved How does Moz compile the "Important pages on your site are returning a 4xx error!" report?
I have over 200 links in this report (mostly from a staging site). I have deleted that staging site and I cannot find the reference to the other links. So my question is, where is Moz finding these links?

Page Rank vs Page and Domain Authority - who wins?
A client has found another SEO agency promising various things to do with link building. Most of these promises are based upon links from sites with allegedly high page ranks. So my questions: Page rank seems to be fading out am I safe to stay with PA and DA metrics instead? I don't agree with link building tactics and feel that it should more a networking activity to provide USEFUL links to users... am I being too white hat and missing opporunities? The other company have promised long list of links including 100 SEO friendly web directory listings, 200 PR 8 back links from Pinterest (which i thought was no follow) & 10 long lasting and high quality mini web sites (with three pages/posts, video and pictures). Am I right that this all sounds a little spammy or is this really what I should be doing for me clients?

Google Hiding Indexed Pages from SERPS?
Trying to troubleshoot an issue with one of our websites and noticed a weird discrepancy. Our site should only have 3 pages in the index. The main landing page with a contact form and two policy pages, yet google reports over 1,100 pages (that part is not a mystery, I know where they are coming from.....multi site installations of popular CMS's leave much to be desired in actually separating websites) Here is a screen shot showing the results of the site command: http://www.diigo.com/item/image/2jing/oseh I have set my search settings to show 100 (the max number of results) results per page. Everything is fine until I get to page three where I get the standard "In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 122 already displayed." But wait a second, I clicked on page three, now there are only two pages of results and the number of results reported has dropped to 122 http://www.diigo.com/item/image/2jing/r8c9 When I click on the "show omitted results" I do get some more results, and the returned results jumps back up to 1,100. However I only get three pages of results. And when I click on the last page the number of results returned changes to 205 http://www.diigo.com/item/image/2jing/jd4h Is this a difference between indexes (same thing happens when I turn instant search back on, Shows over 1,100 results but when I get to the last page of results it changes to 205). Any other way of getting this info? I am trying to go in and identify how these pages are being generated, but I have to know what ones are showing up in the index for that to happen. Only being able to access 1/5th of the pages indexed is not cool. Anyone have any idea about this or experience with it? For reference I was going through with SEOmoz's excellent toolbar and exporting the results to csv (using the Mozilla plugin). I guess google doesn't like people doing that so maybe this is a way to protect against scraping by only showing limited results in the Site: command. Thanks!

Crawl Diagnostics Report Lacks Information
When I look at the crawl diagnostics, SEOMoz tells me there are 404 errors. This is understandable, because some pages were removed. What this report doesn't tell me is how those pages were discovered. This is a very important piece of information, because it would tell me there are links pointing to those pages, either internal or external. I believe the internal links have been removed. If the report told me how if found the link, I would be able to take immediate action. Without that information, I have to go so a lot of investigation. And when you have a million pages, that isn't easy. Some possibilities: The crawler remembered the page from the previous crawl. There was a link from an index page - i.e. it is in the database still There was an individual link from another story - so now there are broken links Ditto, but it in on a static index page The link was from an external source - I need to make a redirect Am I missing something, or is this a feature the SEO Moz crawler doesn't have yet? What can I do (other than check all my pages) to discover this?
