Where to find "Keywords that Sent Organic Search Visits" in Google Analytics?
-
Hi everyone,
Tried searching for this answer but couldn't find it. In the new analytics, I can see that there is a graph that shows the number of unique keywords that brought traffic to our site sorted by weeks. I can't seem to find this data in Google Analytics. I can only find the number of visits but not sorted by how many keywords, instead it is just # of visits from all of the keywords.
Thanks in advance.

Essentially I just want to extrapolate the data as seen in the screenshot below. Also I question the accuracy and want to see where it is compiling the data on my Moz account.

Not provided is going to make reporting on organic keywords almost impossible. Google wants ranking to be a more unintentional effort and not the main focus of optimization specialists. Basically instead of saying I want to rank for "kids toys" the scenario is "Oh I rank for kids toys". Instead they want you to focus on creating relevant, content rich websites that add value to your niche and or the reader. Sorry but keywords need to start taking a back seat to other more meaningful metrics.

In the Analytics account for your site, use the links in the left sidebar to navigate to Acquisition -> Keywords -> Organic, SZ. This will give you the list of keywords that brought you traffic. Of course, (not provided) will likely be your highest volume, but you should still see others listed there.
For another, more complete view of your keywords, navigate to Acquisition -> Search Engine Optimization -> Queries. This will provide a more complete list of the queries (keywords) as derived from Google Webmaster Tools (assuming you have your Webmaster Tools account linked to your Analytics). The Average Position info there is also very useful. Most have found that the Impressions and Clicks info there is woefully inaccurate, unfortunately.
Does that get you what you're looking for?

swzhai this is not the issue with you.We all are facing this issue. Not Provided is the term you will see in your analytics in place of keywords. The reason is secured data that Google is no more willing to share this info to Website owner except for those using adwords. For further reading visit this link.

Email traffic tracking in Google Analytics
Hello! I have a question about how to assure email traffic is properly tracked in GA > Acquisition > All Traffic > Channels. **First, some background... ** Our company (Wisconsin's largest group dental practice) is about to revamp the way we try to re-capture patients who don't have a future appointment set with us. Part of that process will include emails. Those emails will point back to our website to request an appointment. Now to the question... Is there anything special we should do to assure that links coming to the website and the resulting appointment request goal conversions track appropriately and appear under "Email" in the Default Channel Group of Analytics > Acquisition > All Traffic > Channels area of GA? For example, should we use Campaign URL Builder to establish UTM links? Thanks in advance for any feedback. Erik

Conflicting average position data from Google Search Console?
I'm looking at Google Search Console data in Google Analytics, specifically Average Position as given in the Landing Page report, and the same metric broken out by mobile and desktop in the Devices report. In the Landing Page report, I see an aggregated average position that's much higher/worse than an actual average of what is reported for mobile, desktop and tablet traffic under the Device reporting. For example: Mobile: 5 Desktop: 5 Tablet: 5 So the average still should be roughly 5, right? Why would the Landing Page then show an aggregate Average Position of 8? I wouldn't expect to see a precisely same average given that different device types have different proportions that could render differently when the buckets are combined, but this is a huge swing. In fact, the aggregate Average Position as given in the top level Devices report is closer to 5 than to the 8 shown in the Landing Pages report. (These aren't actual numbers, but are illustrative of what I'm seeing, by the way.) Unless I'm missing some vital difference in the way that Average Position is reporting for the Landing Page report versus the Device reports, it doesn't seem like this should be possible. What am I missing?

Google Analytics - Adding a sub-domain
Hi I have a google analytics query.
Reporting & Analytics | | Niki_1
I have a main site with a google analytics tag and I have 2 forms that sit on a subdomain with a different GA code. As I would like to measure end to end tracking, I would like the same GA code on the subdomain. What is the best way for me to implement this? Would I need to make some changes to the GA code that sits on the main site or can I add the the GA code from the main site onto the subdomain? Thanks0 -

Google Search Results inconsistent from different computers
Recently after some optimization activities - I do not see much movement in search rankings - my client is seeing the results on page 1 position 3 and I see page 2 for the same keyword. How does Google change ranking based on past searches and how can I get an accurate picture of what the actual rank is?

How do shortened links show up in Google Analytics?
Hey, How do shortened links show up in GA? So if I tweet about something and use bitly, does twitter get the referral? I am thinking not. I have never seen bitly show up as a referrer, but we gets lots of clicks from those links. Hmmmm. Anyone? E

RE: Google Analytics keywords metric and appropriate keywords
Greetings, When running Google Analytics' keyword report, I see that the over 85% of the top 100 keywords used to find us include a word in our name (Eagle's Nest Foundation and Camp -- with "eagle" or "eagle's nest" being the most frequent) or the name of one of our programs. Does this mean that most folks searching for summer camps in North Carolina already know about us and that we therefore need to optimize for broader keywords, to cast a wider net for folks who don't already know about us? Thanks, Dave
