Unusual Contact Form Spam
-
Hi Everyone,
Over the weekend, we got a number of spam emails sent through our contact form, but what makes this unusual is that it went to an email address that is no longer listed in the contact form. We used to have it go to our info@, but not anymore. The new email address has not got any spam, but the old one still is. Those spam emails all say at the bottom "This mail is sent via contact form (top) on Kempruge website."
How is this happening? What can be done about it? We have added captcha, but that only seems to help the site that is currently linked to the contact form, not the old one.
Thanks everyone,
Ruben

Found it (thank you Screaming Frog custom filters)
It's on this page - http://www.kempruge.com/bankruptcy-common-reasons/

Unfortunately, no. It's on all (or at least most) of our promotional items. Thanks for the suggestion, though! I had not thought to even consider that option.

Is deleting that info@ email an option? If you have set up a new email that is used for the contact form?
-
It's a wordpress site.
-
Hmmm... How is this site built? Are you coding, is it in a CMS (Wordpress, joomla, etc) or do you have a web designer doing this for you?
-
Well, I can't say "I'm sure," because I don't know how to check if it's archived. I do know that, I didn't archive it. I also know that I changed it on both contact forms. And, when you enter data into both contact forms, they go to the new email address not the info@ email address.
-
Are you sure the old one isn't archived and existing somehow without your knowledge?

Do things like using labels on an element that is not a form input affect how google sees us in regards to accessibility?
Do things like using labels on an element that is not a form input affect how google sees us? It's an accessibility error that our devs have made - using a label element because it looks good, not because it's an actual label on a form field. Just wondering how that affects accessibility in Google's eyes.

Site is getting crushed by spam traffic and Google Webmaster Tools giving crawl warnings. Also...
Currently hosting a site I'm planning on moving to a new server ASAP, 301 redirecting and have a domain that has nice authority and very old. On the current site I need to clean up the blog. I have a few questions actually.... 1. I'd like to remove most of the blog articles as I want the new site to be very high quality, but isn't it dangerous to do a 301 redirect to the same page for all these articles? 2. I want to focus on the new site as the current site has too many issues but still managing to hang in their. is highly outdated yet I don't want to spend a ton of time on the site before the 301 redirect. With the Pigeon and Panda 4.0 rumors being released soon, I want to get the new site completed ASAP. Do you think it's better if I fix the 3. Would removing cloudflare make things better or worse with the crashing of my site due to high traffic (mainly spam on the blog.) 4. My best article by far is outdated, but should I waste time updating it before redirecting or should I just get the new site going? I did way too many guest posts thinking content is king, but at least checked the outgoing links Domain Auth, Page Auth, and MozTrust in OSE, but first off I'm going to remove a page that mentions I'm looking for guest bloggers. I tried to keep the posts relevant but at the time you could get away with 5. Anything I can do to slow down these spammers on Wordpress? I noticed most of them are checking for vulnerabilities but I'm keeping it up to date, have caching setup. Thanks!

Wordpress Plugin To Capture Form Completion Data, Before Visitor Hits "Submit"?
Greetings MOZ Community: Visitors frequently start to enter contact information in the forms on our website, but then chicken out and don't hit the submit button. I noticed this watching the recordings of visitor web site visits using Mouse Flow. Is there a Wordpress Plugin that would allow us to capture data entered in forms, where the visitor does not finally hit the "submit" button? Obviously this would be very, very valuable as this scenario occurs in one out of three or four instances. Thanks!!!

Website 'stolen', no contact details
Hi all, Wondering if anyone could help out here, good a very strange issue.... Went into Google Webmaster Tools and looked at the incoming links to a client's site (new client, only just gained access to WMT) and noticed 2563 links coming from a domain. Upon viewing said domain it is a 100% copy of the clients site, I mean 100%; the phone numbers, email address etc are still pointing to the client's site. Everything is the same, the pages, the navigation etc. When I click on a link on the copy site it loads the same pages but at their site, the internal linking points to the version of the pages on their site. It seems to be an ongoing thing because the last time the client updated their blog was last week and this is on the copy site. Obviously this cannot be helping with regard to seo. The client knows nothing about it so not come from them. The copy site is indexed in Google!!. The first thing to do is to contact these people and ask what they are doing. This is proving to be easier said than done, the contact details (as mentioned above) on the pages still point back to the client and the whois gives no details. What would be the first step to take here? Obviously there is the whole legal area about stolen content but that can wait until we have the site down and out of Google. Is there somewhere in Google to report things such as this? I will speak to client and if they are happy I will share both the domains in question, they know I am seeking alternative opinions Many thanks Carl

Website subscribe form.
Hello, Im working on a clients website and I have 2 box's. One is a subscription box and the other is a newsletter sing up. Subscription box is a google feedburner where every time there is a new post, it automatically notifies the readers. Whats the best strategy to have subscribe box since its confusing for readers when you have 2 forms. Thank you for your help.

Forms vs. Buttons
We are an IT services firm. A conversion for us is completion of a lead form. Generally speaking, is it better to have a form to fill out in the sidebar on most organic pages, or a button that takes you to a lead form? I see both used, which do you think converts better?

Free website templates without spam
Where is a good site for joomla and wordpress website templates that are free? I want to learn how to do everything on a zero budget (except for hosting and domain name) and I'd like to find some decent free templates.
