When with Google+ bio area backlinks get devalued if we have everybody link to our site
-
Hello,
As you know, Google+ bios, if they have a link in them are dofollow. I'm doing a link building campaign, and we already linked one of our Google+ pages to our home page and top 2 articles.
My question is, to get links, can we have family and friends add links in their bios too for a total of 6 links to the home page (6 people) and some links to our articles?
Or will Google devalue them because we are family and friends? How many is too many?
Thanks.

Google is pretty clever, it also going to no doubt pick up if they are friends and family compared to employes etc. I would be careful with it and weigh the risk to reward, I can't say they would devalue them as its hardly on a huge scale However would it be relevant as that's what Google always like to know.
You can always work on making you profile (presuming you have a link) more authoritative by getting more people in your "circles".
Good luck.

Google+ Best Practice
I have a client company looking to make use of G+ The company has a high quality, decent traffic blog with articles written by 4 in-house team members. The company has a G+ company page and each of the 4 blog authors has their own G+ profile. None of the G+ authors have any interest in using their G+ profile for general social reasons - simply as a means for sharing content (and consuming content from others) within the scope of the business sector they are in. In order to take advantage of G+ authorship, we have now linked each user to their own G+ profile page (using Yoast WP plugin) and linked the website to the G+ company page. Rel=publisher also added for the company. In terms of best practice would you recommend sharing new blog posts to the individual's G+ profile page AND to the G+ company page or just do one or the other? As a final twist the company also has a G+ Local page which is primarily used for local search/map entry (the company is online but has a physical office address). Should articles also be posted to the G+ Local page?

Facebook Blocking Site
This is been a big annoyance for me. My site was on wordpress before and was infected with malware at one point. We were blocked by major AV, Google, and etc but we got the infection cleaned up quickly and got unblocked. Problem now is that Facebook, we are still blocked on. We try to post a link and says we are harmful. We got unblocked from facebook and we posted but than they blocked us again. We have submitted multiple requests on that form but got no answer. As a marketing agency, having our facebook page blocked to our site is bad. What can we do in this situation? We have no direct contact with anyone at facebook nor do they reply to our requests. I do own a .net to my domain, should we start using that instead of .com or what? We really need to find a way out of this. It is hurting our reputation.

Google 'Author' tag question (Guest Blogging)
Hi, It seems like im seeing more and more about the Author tag, its now in Webmaster Tools and Google+. If your guest blogging, is it a good idea to include the Author link back to your Google+ account? If your Google+ account is also connected to your website and Google confirms they can see the connection does the Author links help with ranking when you push them back to the connected Google+ account?

How are the metrics measured in Open Site Explorer?
I am using Open Site Explorer to measure some metrics. The Facebook Shares, Facebook Likes, Tweets, and Google +1 metrics make no sense to me. Where and how are these being pulled? Is there a timeframe attached? Can I assign a timeframe to them? I have a ShareThis account that states one of my pages was liked over 3000 times but the metrics say 1 like. Very confused. Thanks for any help! Ari

Do facebook shares of deep links help the whole domain rank better?
What i mean by this is if we were to obtain 10-20 facebook shares for 10 different deep links like these: http://domain.com/deep-page/page-one
Social Media | | adriandg
http://domain.com/deep-page/page-two
http://domain.com/deep-page/page-three
http://domain.com/deep-page/page-four
... Would that help any of these rank better:
http://domain.com
http://domain.com/product1
http://domain.com/product2
etc... Extrapolating, does the same count for Twitter, Google+, etc?0
