Google analytics Goals and Funnels??
-
Hey - how's things?
I've got 2 goals setup, each of which use the same thank you page but with different required funnels. The results have been identical for the last few weeks - which tells me I've got something wrong!!
The first goal has a contact form on every page in the /products/ directory set up like this:
destination equal to: /thanks-enquiry/funnel step1 page: ^/products/.* required: yesThe first goal has a form on 1 page called /on-sale set up like this:
destination equal to: /thanks-enquiry/
funnel step1 page: /on-sale required: yesAny ideas?

Hi Tye,
This is a common problem with GA. Goals in GA simply work by saying how many people reached this page. The pages in between that you specified only work for the funnel visualisation report; they have no impact on the goal conversion rate.
I would recommend creating new funnels in Padditrack, which is a free tool that should do what you need it to.
I hope this helps.

Any ideas here.... In analytics I just drilled down to the actual /thanks-enquiry/ page and it seems that most referrals are coming from second goal /on-sale/ - so I must have this configured incorrectly - but it looks ok (I hope)
-
Sorry - /on-sale/ is the correct url for the second step - I left off the trailing slash to (try) and show it was a page.
so in full: www.domain.com/on-sale/
In the first step, the urls are:
www.domain.com/products/1/
www.domain.com/products/2/
www.domain.com/products/3/ -
Hi,
In the second step, can you tell me what the complete URL is there? If /on-sale is also in the URLs for the first step: ^/products/.* that could clarify why the URLs are the same.

Editing "Goal Sets" for Goals in Analytics
I set up 8 goals in analytics and Google seems to have auto placed them into their own Goal sets (first 5 = Goal Set 1, last 3 are Goal Set 2). http://awesomescreenshot.com/05134f1tad Any idea how to edit and group these up myself?

Google Analytics
Hello In Google analytics you can obtain the number of visits as a result of non-paid search. You can also set up custom reports to find the number of organic searches. The numbers are different, so what is the obvious difference between these two metrics that I'm missing. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Neil

Why does Google Analytics think PPC traffic is organic?
I have a bastard of a problem... Google Analytics is incorrectly tracking PPC traffic as SEO which is screwing up all my reporting . I don't care for rankings, I care for actual SEO traffic and I can't be sure that what i am seeing is correct which is driving me nuts. Any ideas?

Seeing / and no / in Google Analytics
When I look at my Google Analytics code, I see that the same content will show up twice, once with a / at the end of the URL, and once without. My site is at http://www.skypeenglishclasses.com. Does anyone know why this would happen? Is it duplicate content?
