Pages appear fine in browser but 404 error when crawled?

I am working on an eCommerce website that has been written in WordPress with the shop pages in E commerce Plus PHP v6.2.7. All the shop product pages appear to work fine in a browser but 404 errors are returned when the pages are crawled. WMT also returns a 404 error when ‘fetch as Google’ is used.
Here is a typical page:

Why is this page returning a 404 error when crawled? Please help?

Thanks George, for your time to answer. I will check again with the developer and forward your comments, however I have discussed it with him and he is also confused as to why this is happening.

The page is definitely returning the HTTP 404 status code even though it is loading and appears to be a 200. You can use a HTTP request debugger like fiddlertool.com to show this.
As to why this is happening, it really depends on how your site is customised and I'm not familiar with ECommerce Plus. It's possible that a 404 is hardcoded in the proddetail.php file and left by a developer who didn't want the site to be crawled while it was being built, or it's just an admin setting. Other pages on your site return a 200 status.

Can view pages of site, but Google & SEOmoz return 404
I can visit and view every page of a site (can also see source code), but Google, SEOmoz and others say anything other than home page is a 404 and Google won't index the sub-pages. I have check robots.txt and HTAccess and can't find anything wrong. Is this a DNS or server setting problem? Any ideas? Thanks, Fitz

Duplicate page errors from pages don't even exist
Hi, I am having this issue within SEOmoz's Crawl Diagnosis report. There are a lot of crawl errors happening with pages don't even exist. My website has around 40-50 pages but SEO report shows that 375 pages have been crawled. My guess is that the errors have something to do with my recent htaccess configuration. I recently configured my htaccess to add trailing slash at the end of URLs. There is no internal linking issue such as infinite loop when navigating the website but the looping is reported in the SEOmoz's report. Here is an example of a reported link: http://www.mywebsite.com/Door/Doors/GlassNow-Services/GlassNow-Services/Glass-Compliance-Audit/GlassNow-Services/GlassNow-Services/Glass-Compliance-Audit/ btw there is no issue such as crawl error in my Google webmaster tool. How to verify a page-by-page level 301 redirect was done correctly?
Hello, I told some tech guys to do a page-by-page relevant 301 redirect (as talked about in Matt Cutts video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1lVPrYoBkA) when a company wanted to move to a new domain when their site was getting redesigned. I found out they did a 302 redirect on accident and had to fix that, so now I don't trust they did the page-by-page relevant redirect. I have a feeling they just redirected all of the pages on the old domain to the homepage of the new domain. How could I confirm this suspicion? I run the old domain through screaming frog and it only shows 1 URL - the homepage. Does that mean they took all of the pages on the old domain offline? Thanks!

How to remove crawl errors in google webmaster tools
In my webmaster tools account it says that I have almost 8000 crawl errors. Most of which are http 403 errors The urls are http://legendzelda.net/forums/index.php?app=members§ion=friends&module=profile&do=remove&member_id=224 http://legendzelda.net/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=166 And similar urls. I recently blocked crawl access to my members folder to remove duplicate errors but not sure how i can block access to these kinds of urls since its not really a folder thing. Any idea on how to?
