I formed a network with 12 domains in 3 different data centers. How should I link them to my main Domain?
I did something : all minor domains link to main domain site-wide (nofollow) and 3-5 internal links from each minor domains go to sub pages of the major domain (dofollow linking from content).
Shall I link each other like A>>c>d......

Hi Muhammed,
When you mention a link network, people immediately think about sites like BMR that have been thoroughly penalized. I wrote about them here:
http://moz.com/blog/unnatural-link-warnings-blog-networks-advice
It's a risky strategy, and definitely not my favorite. That said, I think you can inter-link your sites if you do it correctly. For example, you can link to content pieces from one site to another when the topics happen to overlap. I've linked from a philosophy site I own to a jewelry site when the jewelry site got deep on what jewelry means to us.
What I wouldn't do is create 12 sites on the same topic and build a link wheel. I'd also advise you not to cross-link on a site-wide basis just because you own the site. It has to make sense to a reasonable user. Otherwise you'll get caught, re-penalized, and end up wasting a bunch of time that could have been spent actually gaining real life attention.

Muhammed,
This forum and ALL the others are filled with people asking about how to deal with penalties related to link networks and link wheels. You may think you have a strategy no one else has thought of, but you should keep in mind that there are a lot of smart people out there, many with much more experience than you (those who don't need to ask how to build a link network because they've experimented with hundreds of them in the past, for example), who will tell you that you're much better off spending your hours working on more legitimate SEO tactics.
If you must create your link network, do so as an experiment with non-money sites that have no connection to your money site at all--not on the same server, not with the same host, and not linked to any site you would like to be of value to you in the future. You could even do 4 or 5 different networks using different tactics and see which one lasts the longest. Once they've all crashed and burned, you could write a blog post about your experiment and use it as link bait to help boost the authority of your money site.

Well, if you think you can do it without a penalty, then go ahead. I am just giving you my opinion. As Google's Matt Cutts said, Google will take some time to trust your site again once a penalty is revoked, so probably they are looking at your site closely, sooner or later, they will see those links and do their math, and you won't like the outcome.
Just my 2 cents...

You could not possibly do any good by building your own link network with 12 domains you purchased. Google will figure it out, and your links will either be devalued completely, or you'll get a manual penalty placed on your site.
There are legitimate use cases for site wide links (like in the footer) but it's best to nofollow these links to be safe.
-
I dont think so. My site had got a penalty due to haxlink attacks. So I prepared a disavow txt and sent. I applied to google and they accepted it so I havent got any link penalty at the moment. They really saw how I linked but that was no problem for them.
In fact I learned how I can use site wide links as a result of unnatural link penalty.
Any suggestion?

You shouldn't be doing that in the first place. That's a big NO-NO. You may thing Google won't catch you as you are only following some links, but the way they control information and the fact that they have been fighting spam for years... you are just killing your site softly...

How to switch brand domain and address previous use of domain
We recently acquired a new domain to replace existing as it better fits our brand. We have little/no organic value on existing domain so switching is not an issue. However the newly acquired domain was previously used in a different industry and has inbound links with significant spam scores. How can we let Google know that these links are not valid for our business and start rebuilding reputation of the domain? Disavow tool?

Legal Client Wants to Change Domain Name... What's the best way to pass authority from old domain?
Hey Mozzers,
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | WhiteboardCreations
I received a call on Friday from a 6 attorney law office who have been my client for a long time. They have an established brand/domain in their market which isn't very big, but has a lot of competition. 2 of the attorneys are leaving to start their own firm and they want to remove a letter from their name abbreviation, thus their domain name as well. So, the other partners want to change the domain to reflect this. They want to buy a EMD [city]lawyers.com for about $1,600 along with some others to protect their new brand and name. I have a good idea as to what I need to do, BUT would love to hear advice from the community for this type of drastic change. 301 redirects? New Google Analytics code or same just different profile? Webmasters verifications? Content from old site? Old domain forwarding or keep active for a little bit? Is not the time to get them an SSL? Also, what should I prepare them for in terms of website traffic expectations and Google authority drops or remains the same? I know their Moz DA/PA will drop to 1/1, but anything else to look out for? Thank you in advance!

Exact match domain ranking comparison.
Assuming all the following websites content is of the same value to google's eyes (or assume duplicate content isnt penalized and they are all the same) and they all go to the same landing page (assuming the above rules) in what order do you think these would rank in a US google search for 'shoes'. A)www.sho.es B)www.sho.es/shoes C)brand.com/shoes D)shoes.brand.com E) (if you have the time) Repeat B),C) and D) for .net

Is a .co.uk domain better?
Hi I have www.example.net however trying to judge if it is better having www.example**.**co.uk instead (as it will be targeted for UK people). I could use Webmaster tool to geographically target UK - however perhaps best to use a .co.uk domain instead. Any views on using a .net ending domain? Many thanks Nigel

I currently have a client that has multiple domains for multiple brands that share the same IP Address. Will link juice be passed along to the different sites when they link to one another or will it simply be considered internal linking?
I have 7 brands that are owned by the same company, each with their own domain. The brands work together to form products that are then sold to the consumer although there is not a e-commerce aspect to any of the sites. I am looking to create a modified link wheel between the sites, but didn't know if my efforts would pay off due to the same IP Address for all the sites. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

Change of domain procedure
Hi Guys, I have been tasked with conducting a change of domain for our company website. The website will be exactly the same, just change from www.jamesburfield.co.uk to www.burfieldcreative.co.uk. This was attempted before but my boss got cold feet and switched back after he saw a drop in rankings. (He put in the redirects and went through the change of domain procedure with google). I have told him that I think its possible with minimal disruption and we have agreed even with some disruption it will better in the long run for the company. Here is the process I intend to follow: 1. Copy and upload site to new domain 2. Redirect all pages with a wildcard or individually - possibly drop the www also 3. Follow the change of domain procedure in webmaster tools 4. Change the href of as many as possible back links to point at the new domain Please let me know your thoughts on my plan and if there is anything else I can do to ensure we maintain our rankings. Any help is appreciated as this is my suggestion and my neck is on the line! Thanks guys! Gareth
