How do we rank 2nd for this keyword
-
Hello,
We want to rank 2nd for this keyword:
NLP Training
Here's our site: nlpca.com
We currently rank near the bottom of the first page.
What we have to work with: One top authority person in our field, with a little bit of time to write content, one other top authority person with a little more time, One very skilled employee that has a long history in our field, is not an authority, but writes good blog posts. She writes some of the content, the authorities write the rest.
What else we have to work with: We can't really do outreach in this industry as it would be weird to send all of our competitors, which are also our colleagues and friends, link requests. I don't think it would be appropriate to ask people to share or +1 us either. We can produce content, we've added a blog and we're adding a "What is NLP?" Article.
We have good video capability. Also, perhaps an infographic would help as a linkable asset, but I don't know what that could be about. Maybe an eye accessing cues infographic - see this page on eye accessing cues - http://www.nlp-practitioners.com/interactive/nlp-eye-access-cues-game.php Basically, there is general knowledge about the differences in eye accessing cues from person to person and culture to culture.
I assume we need something to boost our DA.
Anyways, your thoughts on how we can move up for "NLP Training"?

Will YouTube Popularity Improve Website Google Rank?
Our YouTube Channel was endorsed by a celebrity and suddenly gained 22,000 subscribers. We are now posting videos 2-3 times a week and get a lot of engagement. Each video has an average of 10,000 views. The result of this is that we get about 200 direct visits to our website every. Almost twice as much as organic traffic from Google. Assuming that this is sustained over time, will it improve the Google of our website? Is there anyway to use the popularity of our Google channel to reinforce the ranking of our website? Thanks!!

Facebook Integration and Keyword Density
Hope everyone is doing well! Long story short, we have been getting a lot of customer testimonials. We started putting them on Facebook and then we decided to start adding more details into the articles section of the site. The problem is many of our customers do not go to the articles section or the FB page. We purchased a plugin to integrate most recent Facebook posts into our website. We were going to use it on our homepage as well as our top category pages. I always run content changes through the MOZ scoring utility. After integration into the home page it dropped my score from a 99 to a 91. The first issue is consistent.... to many links... the second issue we got Rand's WTH are you doing face with a warning that we are stuffing keywords.... Not our intent, but the FB posts do have keywords in them. So for now we are testing the integration on just our garage floor tile category page but I am wondering the following: 1. In general does this type of utility improve UX 2. Does Google make some concession for 'keyword stuffing' when it is because of social media posts being displayed on the page? 3. Given that we post daily, does the 'fresh content' outweigh the increased keyword density. We are ranking top 10 for several major national keywords and we don't want to screw that up. But we want to continue to improve our layout and UX

Facebook likes, search rankings, acquisition speed. Concern?
SEOs know that a rapid uptick in link acquisition speed can trigger a red flag within google. Is the same true of a FB Like campaign? I'm not up to speed on whether Google is believed to use Facebook Likes in its ranking algo. Should we treat a FB Like acquisition campaign like we do linkbuilding -- namely, throttle it so that there isn't a huge spike in growth rate for a short period? Surely FB might have internal algos that devalue 'astroturf' likes, but the core concern of this client is whether SEARCH RANKINGS might suffer if the FB Likes grow too quickly. My gut says no, don't be concerned. What do you think?

Do you think Google +1 can hurt rankings?
More on established B2C sites (not blogs/forums)? For example, a client has the #1 ranking for the kw with the highest exact match volume in their vertical and sitelinks. Is it better to keep things status quo and not give Google the data or potentially introduce a new signal to Google that might be negative if CTR is not high enough?

Is facebook and twitter always a good idea to promote a website and improve Google rankings?
I'm attempting to promote a fresh seafood market / restaurant here on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. I have not found a lot of examples of people using Twitter and Facebook to promote this type of business here. Is it hard to justify the time for return here? One benefit I thought for twitter is we could have tweets displayed on site giving us some dynamic content which would hopefully keep Google spider coming back more regularly is this correct? Is there any link building advantage to using these social media sites?
