Trying to link a Legacy Youtube account to a Google+ Page, the option isn't available...

Hello,
I am working on one of my clients projects and would love some advice before making some changes to their Google+ and Youtube account. We created the youtube account before Google+ and Youtube combined so we have a seperate name for the Youtube and Google+ Profile. They were created using separate emails, but both emails are managers of each others "account." We can't combine the two as it won't give me the option, only the option to create a new Youtube channel based on the Google+ Profile. But I already have videos loaded up on the Older Channel that I would like to keep and use for my current Google+ Profile. I have tried to disconnect the Youtube channel to hopefully get the option to link the two, but it just says it is a unavailable option.So my question is:
What advice do you guys have with any of this type of Youtube and Google+ mismatch profile/channels? I am not finding much online besides links to unattaching accounts but that is giving me a message saying that it isn't possible.Or would creating a new channel linked to the Google+ page and just reuploading the videos/transcripts be my best bet?

Awesome! this actually worked for one of my accounts. Unfortunately one of my accounts wont let me do this, or unlink them so I can do this. From what I am reading it has to do when and how the Youtube or Google+ profile was created. This was very helpful. I am going to keep playing with my owners/managers, and logging in with different users, and info to see if I can eventually get this to work properly.
I am debating deleting the unwanted Google+ profile, and seeing if it will then allow me to attach a different google+ profile to the youtube channel. I am afraid that deleting the unwanted Google+ Profile will also delete the attached (wanted) youtube channel.

It is in fact possible to connect these, however it is not intuitive at all and a bit of a struggle. I know it's possible because I have done it. I'll do my best to recall how it was accomplished.
Go to YouTube, and click on your logo on the top right corner. Click on "Switch Account" followed by clicking on "Add Account." You should now be able to enter the Google Account attached to your new G+ page.
Take it from here and let me know where you get held up. Perhaps I can help more if you give me more details. It's been awhile since I've done this.

I faced the same issue. If the YouTube channel was created prior to the G+ you can't link them together. We ended up creating a new YouTube channel linked to the G+ profile and uploading the videos there. Yeah, you lose your views, comments, etc, but in the long term it should be worth it.
You can consider removing the videos from the old channel, we didn't, but we are thinking about going that way.

Facebook Business Page Optimization: Awards Section
Hi everyone! I am looking to add my clients awards to the Facebook business page to add a little "pow" and give myself a "look what I did" talking point at my next meeting with them. I was comparing their page to the competition, and I noticed the competition has a lovely Awards section under their About. Do you know how/where this is hiding? My clients business page is rather new (a little over a year old), so I'm leaning towards this was an old feature that Facebook has not hidden from older pages. Do g+ Reviews From New Accounts Count?
We want to get some more reviews on g+ and we have clients who will to write them. The problem is that almost none of them have g+ accounts. While they are nice enough to create a profile, just to do a review for us, I'm wondering if that will even matter? Does anyone know how google handles reviews from scant profiles? My fear is that google will treat reviews from scant profiles like spam, even though they won't be. While I don't mind asking our clients to write us g+ reviews, I can't very well ask them to be active on g+ so google thinks they more credible. Is this fear legitimate? Does anyone know one way or the other? Thanks, Ruben

Facebook Share from personal wall to fan page
Is it possible to share a post from someone's personal FB wall to a company fan page if they have the permissions set to allow this? I often get a message that a share was denied and I'm not sure if shares from personal to business fan pages are always denied or if this is controlled by the person's privacy settings.

Are links from Pinterest 'do follow'/do they have any SEO benefit?
Afternoon all, I know there is a question about Pinterest that was asked in February but I guess it was a fairly new beast then and people were still unsure about its use for marketing/SEO etc. I run an events business and on our Pinterest profile I tend to pin random stuff I find on the net, themes we are running (directly from our website) and other Pinterest users. I have received several 're-pins' and people are really starting to follow us now. What I am keen to know is whether or not having lots of followers/re-pins on Pinterest has the same effectiveness from an SEO perspective as having lots of Facebook/Twitter/Google+ followers and whether or not these re-pins are 'do follow' links or have any SEO benefit whatsoever? What are people's opinions of Quora for SEM?
What are people's opinions of Quora for SEM? Early last year many were excited about its potential but I must admit I haven't explored quora as much as I should have. I do find it a good resource for getting answers to my questions but how do people turn this into an SEO tool? This is probably sacrilege for most SEMs but I don't think Quora has taken off over here in the UK as it has in the US. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts as an SEO community and how you've used Quora successfully. Cheers.
