Would you sign up for this Directory?

Hello.
We're out looking for high quality, relevant links for our site that are relevant to our industry...
We've noticed some of our competitors and suppliers are listed on this directory: http://www.dir.industrialcoop.com/
What are your thoughts on this directory? Is it high quality enough to request a listing there or do you think it's too risky? I'm not trying to do anything that could be perceived as risky or spammy.
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks!

Paid directories are held at the same standard as paid links (see Matt Cutts Video). However, the directories are still weighed based on quality, amount value they add (such as original content), how much work the owners put in and etc. So many good directories do exist.
Some good industrial directories (that I recommend) are: Thomasnet, MacRAE's and GlobalSpec (in that order).

Thanks for your advice, we'll certainly avoid that one...
Are you suggesting we don't sign up for any directories, even those that we know are high quality and extremely relevant (such as: http://www.mhi.org)
Thanks again...

Hello Prime,
Do your business a good favor and do not sigh up for this directory. good thing your competitors are tbh as Google doesnt like directories and all these will be penalised soon. Even black hatters dont sign up to directories anymore, they go for high PR blog post pages. Even 3 years ago I wouldnt recommend this as it seems weak and spammy. Also the site might be PR1 but the listed pages are PR 0 thus no link juice at all and only troubles in your head.

Migrating educational resources for a SaaS product to an existing domain?
Odd situation I'm hoping some folks may have insight on. We have a product site and an educational site (two entirely separate domains). The educational site has: Existed for longer (24 years vs 13). Currently ranks for far more keywords and drives more traffic. Is an entirely separate brand from the product. Has historically driven sales to the product site (through email and onsite ads) but that channel has diminished over time. The product site Also has educational resources Is a more recognizable brand When prioritized resources here often drive far more revenue The Challenge

Both sites cover very similar topics, making prioritization challenging and splits our topical focus. We are considering making the educational site our sole place for resources, migrating content from the product site, and rebranding the site to line up more closely with the product. Basically retain the domain, make it our sole focus for updates and new content, but align it with the strength of our more recognizable product. The Questions Does anyone have any experience with this type of rebrand where a separate domain is retained? Are we risking the loss of branded search queries in the process or some other risk? While potentially risking ranking/traffic loss would it make more sense to migrate all valuable content to the product site instead? Sorry for the long-winded questions here and appreciate any thoughts/ideas!0 -
Does a site with only one blog post a month rank alright?
I manage multiple websites and want to start new ones but want to know if one blog post a month is acceptable for SEO since I'm worried about rank.

B2B Blogger Outreach
Hi I'm working on an SEO campaign in relation to vacuum cleaners. I'm working on some outreach and as we focus on B2B I'm finding it difficult to find blogs which are B2B focused. We would ideally want customers who are buying a number of vacuums for their business - but it could be any industry. Instead of B2B blogs, I have gone with the angle of cleaning/organising blogs, with lots of followers on social. However, does anyone know of any good B2B blogs they could recommend? I'm looking for something written by facilities/buildings managers - if blogs like this exist 🙂 Thank you

Country sites - TLD's or sub directories?
Dear All, We have several brands which operate a several languages and currently have a set up like this: www.[BRAND].com/ = English global www.[BRAND].com/de = German www.[BRAND].com/fr = French … Each subdirectory is a completely different site so I was wondering would it be better to use TLD’s for each country site in order to hold more equity in the search engine if we used: www.[BRAND].com/ = English global www.[BRAND].de = German www.[BRAND].fr = French Are country top level domains the way to go? If we wanted to change language within a country site should we use the following? www.[BRAND].be = Belgium English www.[BRAND].be/nl-NL/ = Belgium Dutch If you could let me know what to do I would be most grateful. Yahoo Directory, BOTW, BBB and Business.com for local SEO?
I've heard conflicting reports about using these paid directories for SEO purposes. I am a local Realtor with a website and blog. My site is on page one but near the bottom since the national sites dominate the top. Would these directories help me for local seo purposes? Does Google consider these paid links and therefore devalues them? How difficult is it to get into these directories since they can decline a submission and there goes my money? Are these directories worth the money? In total it would be like $1200 do get on all. I've already done what I believe to be a lot of good seo practices. Emphasis on I believe since I'm no expert. Just learning as I go. Now I'm up against the big brands in real estate and meet to compete. Any tips if these directories are worth it and anything else I should look to do?
