Why does it take so long to generate CSV reports from OSE?
-
My CSV reports are taking so long to generate, that I'm unable to deliver analysis that I need to deliver today. How can it take so long to create a CSV document for a report that took seconds to generate on screen?
How can I justify my subscription for a product that doesn't deliver? I do have to justify it. I feel so let down.

Thank you for the feedback Tim. We have added a note to OSE when you run a report that exports are running behind, as well as to the recent CSV reports page. Hopefully this will help people in this situation in the next couple of days. This morning's internal status report showed that we are getting ahead on the reports and things are starting to move a little faster now.

Thanks for the insight Michael. Keri, I understand problems do arise from time to time, it would be great to know there's a problem as early as possible to spare the time and frustration trying to export the reports - and more importantly so I can set expectations with clients and colleagues. It caught me at a time I was due to prepare some link profile analysis for a potential client, which is why I felt let down. Thanks for your responses, I do appreciate them.

We actually are running behind on exporting reports right now (I don't know the reason why right now, but there is a team working on that). It may take a few days to get everything caught up. They usually are much faster. We're in the middle of adding a message to OSE to let people know about the delay. I really do apologize for this, and realize it's a pain when something you rely on isn't working.

I can answer that question from a slightly different perspective. I worked with software that parsed varying file types and csv files were so slow to process because of their size. It was the same scenario writing to them. So i'm not at all surprised at the slowness of exporting your data to them - not really Moz's fault.

Moz bot transforms special characters into fake 404 Pages in Reports
I have a lot of 404 links in my exported Moz Pro reports which are not actually Not Found pages when checking the Referring URL. For example: Referring URL:
Link Explorer | | ProspectoGroup
https://ofertolino.ro/oferte/barn%C3%A4ngen 404:
https://ofertolino.ro/barn%C3%83%C2%A4ngen What happens is that the referring URL leads to a redirect (https://ofertolino.ro/barn%C3%A4ngen) but it never leads to the specified 404 Page (which has even a more weird symbol in the URL when it is url decoded) in the report. What could be the issue here and is the Moz bot responsible for such misbehaviour?0 -

Does sitemap auto generation help in SEO 2015
Dear All, May be this is a common question in forum, but wanted to ask specifically for 2015. Does automatic site generators will help in SEO. I added a new website and google started crawling it, without adding sitemap.xml, So does it really matter to have sitemap or updating the sitemap. Thanks, Om

What is the difference between a "Just Discovered" link and an "Established" link in OSE?
What is the difference between a "Just Discovered" link and an "Established" link in OSE? How long does it generally take for a just discovered link to migrate in to the established link section? Are there other parameters that need to be met before a link can be referred to as established? Sorry for all the questions in one post, but I've had the same "just discovered" links in OSE for quite some time and have yet to see them migrate over to the "established" link section. I was hoping that when these links become established that it would help improve my site DA. Can anyone shed any light on this issue or have any other comments? Thanks MOZ!
