Google Is Indexing The Wrong Page For My Keyword
-
For a long time (almost 3 mounth) google indexing the wrong page for my main keyword.
The problem is that each time google indexed another page each time for a period of 4-7 days,Sometimes i see the home page, sometimes a category page and sometimes a product page.
It seems though Google has not yet decided what his favorite / better page for this keyword. This is the pages google index: (In most cases you can find the site on the second or third page)
- Main Page: http://bit.ly/19fOqDh
- Category Page: http://bit.ly/1ebpiRn
- Another Category: http://bit.ly/K3MZl4
- Product Page: http://bit.ly/1c73B1s
All links I get to the website are natural links, therefore in most cases the anchor we got is the website name.
In addition I have many links I get from bloggers that asked to do a review on one of my products, I'm very careful about that and so I'm always checking the blogger and their website only if it is something good, I allowed it. also i never ask for a link back (must of the time i receive without asking), and as I said, most of their links are anchor with my website name.
Here some example of links that i received from bloggers:
Please Can I get a recommendation what should you do?
Should I try to change the anchor of the link?
Do I need to not allow bloggers to make a review on my products?I'd love to hear what you recommend,
Thanks for the help -
I agree with Arjen, onsite SEO is going to improve your rankings for the keywords that matter. Your main keyword "Name Necklace" doesn't really appear on the homepage as a keyword for that page. It is the anchor text to your category page of Name Necklaces, plus that page has it as the page title which is why Google thinks it should be indexed for that keyword.
Another thing I noticed, your canonical tag has the O capitalized and your URL does not. Make sure you keep this consistent as the SE's will think this is a different URL.

Hi,
Thank you very much for you advice. My main keyword is: "Name Necklace"

My advice would be to focus on onsite SEO. Your home page and category pages seem to have very little or no keyword focused content. This can make it hard for Google to decide what these pages are about.
I would not recommend to use the anchor text of external links to create keyword focus, as this might be picked up as spam by penguin. However, I would recommend to use the anchor text of internal links pointing to the page you would like to rank for your main keyword.
I would not advice to stop bloggers from reviewing your products. The links you are getting out of that are a good way to go about link building.
PS: What is your 'main keyword'?

Any way to force a URL out of Google index?
As far as I know, there is no way to truly FORCE a URL to be removed from Google's index. We have a page that is being stubborn. Even after it was 301 redirected to an internal secure page months ago and a noindex tag was placed on it in the backend, it still remains in the Google index. I also submitted a request through the remove outdated content tool https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals and it said the content has been removed. My understanding though is that this only updates the cache to be consistent with the current index. So if it's still in the index, this will not remove it. Just asking for confirmation - is there truly any way to force a URL out of the index? Or to even suggest more strongly that it be removed? It's the first listing in this search https://www.google.com/search?q=hcahranswers&rlz=1C1GGRV_enUS753US755&oq=hcahr&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i57j69i60j0l3.1700j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Page must be internally linked to get indexed?
If a there is page like website.com/page; I think this page will be indexed by Google even we don't link it internally from anywhere. Is this true? Will it makes any difference in-terms of "indexability" if we list this page on sitemap? I know page's visibility will increase when link from multiple internal pages. I wonder will there be any noticeable difference while this page is listed in sitemap.

How long to re-index a page after being blocked
Morning all! I am doing some research at the moment and am trying to find out, just roughly, how long you have ever had to wait to have a page re-indexed by Google. For this purpose, say you had blocked a page via meta noindex or disallowed access by robots.txt, and then opened it back up. No right or wrong answers, just after a few numbers 🙂 Cheers, -Andy

Google does not index image sitemap
Hi, we put an image sitemap in the searchconsole/webmastertools http://www.sillasdepaseo.es/sillasdepaseo/sitemap-images.xml it contains only the indexed products and all images on the pages. We also claimed the CDN in the searchconsole http://media.sillasdepaseo.es/ It has been 2 weeks now, Google indexes the pages, but not the images. What can we do? Thanks in advance. Dieter Lang

Weird Page switch for a keyword in Google Rankings
Over this past weekend Google switched the page which usually showed in search results for keyword benchmarking. It went from from http://www.apqc.org/benchmarking to http://www.apqc.org/benchmarking-portal/osb. Also on Google the Rankings for the keyword 'benchmarking' sank from 15 to 47 for http://www.apqc.org/benchmarking Just looking for some theories or ideas or anyone that has had this happen to them.

"No index" page still shows in search results and paginated pages shows page 2 in results
I have "no index, follow" on some pages, which I set 2 weeks ago. Today I see one of these pages showing in Google Search Results. I am using rel=next prev on pages, yet Page 2 of a string of pages showed up in results before Page 1. What could be the issue?
