Using Javascript to Display Responsive Images?

Hi
We're making our new website responsive and are thinking of using a solution that would resize the images using javascript.
So the image would be displayed like this <
div data-src="/img/200x100.png">div>depending on what size fits the screen
Is is okay for SEO? Or do we also need a fall back that doesn't use javascript?

It would be generally recommended you also include a
<noscript><img src=""></noscript>
section for crawlers and other visitors without JavaScript turned on. I would have at least hoped your solution would use the element rather than a completely non-standard
approach to display images.
Not sure what library, provider or script you are using but maybe check out a responsive image service like Pixtulate who would actually allow you to use a standard img tag and still accomplish what you are looking to do.

Google's not great at crawling java but its getting better however if its for images Google's not super great at images either so if you make good use of the alt tag you should be good for helping Google work out its a photo etc.
I would more think of a fallback for if the user doesn't have java installed etc.

Using meta keywords
Hello, I've read conflicting opinions regarding the use of meta keywords. I know Matt Cutts stated a few years ago that Google does not use them as a ranking signal but many still use them. This raises a few questions: 1. Is there any reason to still use meta keywords? 2. Isn't it just a way to let your competitors know what you're optimizing for? 3. How do other search engines treat meta keywords? Thanks!

Does image domain name matter when using a CDN?
Has anyone does studies on using a different CDN domain name for images on a site? Here is an example:

mydomain.com ranks highly and many images show up in Google/Bing image searches. Is there any actual data that says that using your real domain name for the CDN has benefits versus the default domain name provided by the CDN provider? On the surface, it feels like it would, but I haven't experimented with it.

Using category pages in Wordpress
In our niche we have one main keyword, which represents the entire category. We are using wordpress. I am trying to understand the best URL structure and wonder if the below is a good approach: http://domain.com/keyword This category page will be written to contain an article on the subject. The posts that are put into that category will subsequently appear on this page, below that article. Each of those posts would be targeting a related keyword. e.g. I would write a post which has, as the main target keyword: "MainKeyword training" and another post, which would be targeting "MainKeyword techniques" ... Using a canonical tag to eliminate ID variables?
My research on seomoz has resulted in conflicting ideas regarding the canonical tag. One article says avoid it, the other says embrace it. We have fixed a majority of our architecture problems using redirects for duplicate content, however, when we send out newsletters we still have these pesky tracking ids. I figured out how to remove them from analytics, but am unsure of how this affects our SEO. An example of one of our links is: https://www.quicklearn.com/transcript/?utm_source=news101011&utm_medium=e&utm_campaign=newclass&nlid=news101011&UID=2287 The original url being www.quicklearn.com/transcript/ the custom (non-Google) variables being nlid and uid. Is this a problem? Do I need rel cononical tags on each and every page?

Using a table with tabs to display information on website, work for seo?
When displaying data using a table, and a tab format to seperate different options, for example http://www.mousetraining.co.uk/ms-training/microsoft-excel-training-courses.html - under Standard Excel Training Course Levels / Training Details / Locations / Schedule - at the bottom of the page. Would search engines pick up the keywords from each of the tabs, or are they hidden?? Thanks

When does it make sense to use no-follow on your own domain?
Hey guys, I'm not too sure if I'm over-thinking this, but I've seen no-follow being used with SEOmoz and I'm looking to implement this myself. Most of my links point to my root domain (yes I'm working on building links to deep pages) so would it make sense to 'limit' or 'no-follow' links on my root domain so that only the most important pages are being passed link juice?
