Rankings Tool
-
I'm looking for a way to track the rankings of a single keyword per domain for about 100 domains. What would be the best way to accomplish this? It's just internal tracking in excel right now, which I'm fine if it stays that way. I would just prefer not to have to hand update it every week.
My initial guess is Moz API? If so, are their sample scripts? If not, then is there another tool that can handle this better?

Hey! You can look into the software WebMeUp for tracking rankings through projects/URLs and lots of keywords. I'm using Moz, OSE and WebMeUp for various reporting and monitoring. You may find it useful for this particular task or something else as I have.

Hi there!
Thanks for writing in to Q&A! As Martijin stated earlier, our API doesn't have rank tracking data. Our API has URL Data. Here's more info on our API, and what it does: http://moz.com/products/api.
As Thomas said, Rank Tracker would be the only tool we have that will fit your needs. However, Rank Tracker will only track 50 keywords for 50 domains over time. To track all 100 of your domains, you'd need to have two separate Standard subscriptions. The nice thing about this is that Rank Tracker will track your keyword data week over week automatically. That said, each Standard subscription is $99 a month, so you'd have to decided if spending roughly $200 a month for this one feature makes sense for your business.
I'll defer to our community to recommend other tools, as they're more knowledgable! Both Thomas and Martijin seem to think AuthorityLabs could be a good option, so I'd check it out!
I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions!
Cheers,
Erin

Hi,
The Moz API doesn't feature any rank tracking related features. Therefore I would advice to look in to AuthorityLabs and their Partner API.

Hi
I would use
https://moz.com/researchtools/rank-tracker
the Max a day 0 of 200 rankings checked today.
is lets you put in keyword domain or url & you get the rank
hope this helps,
if for whatever reason the Moz tool is not what you're looking for. As far as the API goes and scripts I'm sure there are quite a few out there if you Google them

Ranking Drop for August 2016
We've been working our way back after all Google's been doing this year. We'd been sitting in the 30s most of the year, but even with some improvement in keywords as well as backlinks, we just dropped from 31 to 26. Is there a way to find a report or at least some insight as to why we dropped 6?

Is Moz's rank checker driving referals (and bounces) in my analytics?
I see 200+ referral visits per month from "rank-checker.online" and they all bounce with one second session durations. Are these bounces hurting my SEO? They are definitely distorting my referral metrics. Can I block them somehow?

Lost many links and keyword ranks since moz index update
Hi All, I came back from work today from a week off to find my site has gone from 681 external inbound links to 202. With this my domain authority, moz trust and moz rank have all also taken a slip. Compounding this, I am seeing a slip most of my keywords rankings. If i try to use the open site explorer to explore my links and see what going on i get the message It looks like we haven't discovered link data for this site or URL. If i check the just discovered links like it suggests I get It looks like there's no Just-Discovered Links data for this URL yet. I know these features worked before the index as i used them. Is this all attributable to the moz index issues that have been noted or could something have happened to my site? Since i started 2 months ago I have made many changes including... Updating the site map that was 4 years out of date and included 400 broken urls Removed blank pages and other useless webpages on the site that contained no content (from the previous administrator) Edited a few pages content from keyword spammy stuff to nicely written and relevant content Fixed url rewrites that made loops and un-accessible product pages All these changes should be for the better but the latest readings have me a little worried. Thanks.

Seo audit tool for conversions?
How would I go about embedding a tool like a simple seo audit in my own website, while of course giving full credit to the developer and paying to use it. I'm talking about using it for conversions, but I'd think it would benefit the developer as well. thanks, JMM
