Moz Pro won't stay connected to my Google Analytics profile
-
I just started a trial of Moz Pro today and it seems to have a problem staying connected to my Google Analytics account.
Evenr time I refresh a page or click to a different page, I get a notification that reads "Our connection to your Google Analytics account was lost. Don't worry, you won't lose any data. Please reauthorize now."
I click the link to reauthorize and it says it was successful, But then as soon as I refresh the page or click to a new page withing Moz Pro, the message appears again.
I'm afraid that none of my GA data is being collected by Moz Pro. What should I do?

I'm having the same issues, revoking access, and reauthorizing does not work.

I know this question says it's answered, but the answer is not working for me. I'm having the same issue. I've tried, on multiple occasions reauthorize. I've even tried revoking permissions, as stated in the above answer. Nothing works. I don't have any other account permissions enable in my Webmaster Tools, so no other Oauth Tokens are in there. Every day my accounts are disconnected from Moz and I don't know why. It is really getting annoying. Please help!

Thanks Erin.
It appears I may have just acted prematurely. The notice has stopped appearing and my GA data seems to be be flowing in nicely.
Thanks for your help. If there is ever an interruption in my GA data being pulled into Moz Pro, at least I will know to check the Oauth Cards.
Cheers.

Hi Tonya,
My name is Erin, and I'm on the Moz Help Team. Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your GA connection! That's no fun. Don't worry about your GA data, it's stored safe and sound within GA. You won't lose any data when your profile disconnects.
Before we go any further, make sure that you're an least an admin on the GA account you're trying to connect.
A lot of times with GA issues, the problem is a bad Oauth token. What's an Oauth token you say?! Let me explain!
Google goes through a process called Oauth when it comes to authorizing access of services that are linked to your Google account. Under any single Google account, there are about 20 tokens account wide. Those tokens are used to provide access for a variety of services from Gmail to apps on your phone. Once you hit the limit, which is 20 for most users, the system automatically revokes the oldest token to provide a new one. If your Moz token is the oldest token, it can render it stale. I'm not certain if this is causing the issue on your account, but it is a great place to start troubleshooting.
You may be able to correct the issue by manually revoking your tokens to make room for new ones on your account and then reconnecting the account to Moz. Here are the instructions on how to do that:
- Follow this link https://accounts.google.com/b/0/IssuedAuthSubTokens. This page displays the current OAuth tokens you are using.
- Once you reach the page, simply press the revoke button (illustrated on this screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/vjh3KrjRRIe) for services that you are not using right now, as well as your current Moz token.
- Once you are done with that, simply go back to your campaign settings, disconnect your GA profile and reconnect (I recommend you use a fresh incognito window).
I hope that helps! If you're still running into problems, shoot us an email at help@moz.com!
Happy Tuesday!
Erin

Can I use wildcards "*" when setting up a new Moz campaign?
Basically I would like the Moz crawler to focus on a specific section of our domain. We do not bucket things via folder groups, so the use of wildcards would be applicable to us. Our URL structure: www.domain.com/some-stuff-here/p12345 Is the example below a valid input to track the above URL structure? www.domain.com//p Thanks.

Moz Analytics - Reports
In the guide video (http://moz.com/help/guides/getting-started) a report button is show. However, I cannot see this button in Moz Analytics. I'm assuming this is due to the tool being in beta?
