Search Volume for a Keyword
-
I assume this questions has probably been covered many times, if so I am sorry for asking it again, for whatever reason, I am not finding the answer I require, so I would appreciate some help.
I would like to know the search volume for a keyword. I remember I used to get this information on Google Adwords account, it no longer displays it the same. I want to know if Moz or even Google for that matter provide this tool in a simple way. So if I entered a keyword, I would get the volume of searches Globally as well as locally either on a per month or a per day basis and it would be broken down as exact match or broad etc.
This was a great feature before. I would love to access the same thing again.
Thanks you.

@Claudio and Chris, thank you.
Claudio, yes you've cleared it up for me. Although I was going into the second option for search volume, I wasn't for some stupid reason clicking on the keywords to separate them from the groups to get results for each keywords. That's the bit that was frustrating me. Your response made me look further. So thank you.
It's helped me make a decision on a domain.

You can still get search volume from the Google ad words, Look for keyword planner then search for keyword volume.

Hi Ryan
The tool is great and has been updated!
But, you must be logged to adwords, you don´t need to have an active account spending money, nor you will be charged for using this tool. You just open an account and use the tool.

Edit: I have re read your question, probably the problem is that you are not using the second option of the keyword planner, in which you are searching for keyword volume. The actual layout is different, but the tool is even better than the previous. Here a link to understand the use of the tool.

Does Keyword Tracker rank eBay links as weaker competition than they actually are?
This might be a confusing question but hopefully I can explain it well enough and someone is able to understand where I am coming from. I have used the Keyword Analysis Tool to search the keyword "alice in wonderland fancy dress", the results come back saying that the competition for this keyword is 24%, which I consider to be pretty low. When I look at the Page Authority, Page Linking, Domain Authority and Domain Linking of each site which rank in the top 10 for this keyword I see that places 4 - 7 are taken by eBay links. I then look at the bottom three places (8 - 10) and although their Page Authority and Page Linking is not very high, their Domain Authority and Domain Linking is reasonable. Based on the results I have seen for other keyword, who's overall competition % was higher than 24%, I thought to myself that these bottom three links were actually quite strong, which made me ask the question "why has this keyword got a competition % as low as 24%?". I then wonder whether it was because the Keyword Analysis Tool ranks the eBay links as weaker competition than they actually are? My question to you guys: Does Keyword Tracker rank eBay links as weaker competition than they actually are? Or can anyone explain why the competition % for this keyword is so low but the bottom three links are actually relatively strong? And how do the eBay links rank higher than these bottom three links? Yes the eBay links are relative to the keyword but these eBay links are ranking higher solely on the fact that the Domain Authority is so high and have very little SEO in relation to the keyword, does Google not recognise that the bottom three websites would be more beneficial to customers than the eBay links? And if the eBay links are ranking so high solely on the fact that the Domain Authority is so high then shouldn't they be in the top 10 for almost every product related keyword? Thanks in advance.

Why do crawlers still track meta keywords if it is not needed in my site?
I have crawled three sites already and it returns more than 5000 errors most of which are MIssing Meta Keywords tags. The sites are on Wordpress and using my SEO plugin I can easily edit the meta keywords of each page, but I am having second thoughts. Well should I?

Keyword difficulty always high
HI there, I'm new here and am just getting used to the keyword difficulty tool. I've noticed that just about every keyword phrase I type in, including ridiculous ones such as "perspex underpants" or "guy debord's shoes" all have a difficulty well over 50% and many over 60%. It makes little difference what my phrase is. Am I doing something wrong perhaps? How am I to interpret this result? It would seem to suggest that It is always very hard to rank, even for a rare and ridiculous phrase.

Anyone know how/where to get keyword yield ratio?
I'm trying to incorporate keyword yield ratio (the ratio of keywords to pages yielding search traffic) in my seo report. I want to be able to compare on a monthly basis the percentage ratio of keywords to a landing page yielding search traffic. So for example, in July we might have 5 keywords that earned a click to landing page A. But in September, the number of keywords grew to 8 keywords that earned a click to landing A. I would like to be able to report monthly on the % ratio growth of number of keywords to landing pages that yield search traffic. Aim is to grow # of keywords per page... Is there a way I can get this data through seomoz tools or google analytics? Thanks, Gemma
