Manual Webspam Error. Same Penalty on all sites on Webmaster Tools account.
-
My URL is: www.ebuzznet.comToday when i checked webmaster tools under manual spam section. I got Manual spam and reason was Thin content with little or no added value. Then I checked other sites from same webmaster tools account, there are 11 sites, all of them received same manual action. I never received any mail, no notification on site messages section regarding this manual action. I just need confirmation whether it is something to do with any error in webmaster tools or all of the sites really received manual spam actions. Most of the article on sites are above 500 words, quality content (no spun or copied).Looking for suggestions, answers

As per your example above.. I have enabled auto syndication to all my social network.. so only excerpt will syndicate along with linkback to original content..if you open any of those 50 links it will be facebook post. So sharing content is not against webmaster guidelines..
Already started editing and rewriting of post... It will take more than a week..

This is very strange.. they penalized this page with no content too http://ivishalverma.blogspot.com/: Thin content... another strange thing is I have added 4 of my sites to another webmaster account with different mail id. same 4 sites on both account. I am owner on both accounts. They penalized all blogs there too... totally they penalized two webmaster account. with around 18 sites (5 blogspot).

I Googled text from a few of your articles, and found tons of duplicates. See, for example, this search. Are you actually writing your own content, or is this sourced from someone else? I also noticed a lot of non-standard and incorrect grammar across multiple articles, which isn't going to help in a panda-type penalty.
Google is getting better at measuring users' reactions to your content, and they've even begun to dig into factors that cause users to leave a page and seek another result. Whether or not Google can determine the quality of language, users can, and they don't react well to language that doesn't flow.
Here's what I'd do:
- Make sure your content is unique. If you're sourcing it, make sure it hasn't been republished in part or in full.
- Ensure your content is written by someone who can really engage the audience and sound like an expert writing in English (or whatever your sites' languages are)
- Really try to hook the user right away. Make the posts as visual as possible, avoid large first paragraphs, and make sure the user knows why they should care right away. You need to elicit an emotion early on in your audience: fear, anger, amusement, interest, surprise, etc.
- Use tags sparingly, and only when it makes sense. Avoid tags with only one tagged post.
- Credibility: add dates and authors to articles backed by full bios.
The way to get out of this penalty is to really add value on each of your pages.
-
This is definitely a unique situation in my experience, so keep that in mind, but I'd think about (after making sure nothing on- or off-page could have caused the manual action) submitting 11 reconsideration requests at the same time, telling them everything you looked into, the tests, and the situation with your entire account getting manual actions. See how they respond to that.
-
manual actions is one or two sites seems legit..but all sites listed on webmaster tools account looks suspicious... They even penalized a new blogspot site with no content at all... I just created a new blogspot for testing.. and there was no article posted... It is Blank... but received thin content warning.....

I do see a red flag right away in the page source. When I viewed the page source code I saw some spammy looking links right before the footer. This could be an indication of a hack. If all of your websites in webmasters are on the same server, or your login for all of them is the same, or something similar, it's possible you had all your sites hacked. If you put those links there, then remove them.
Manual action messages are very vague, so sometimes it takes some digging to identify the root of the problem. The above is an idea of where to begin.

Webmaster Tools "Links to your site" history over time?
Is there a way to see a history of the "links to your site"? I've seen a lot of posts here from people say "I just saw a big drop in my numbers." I don't look at this number enough to be that familiar with it. Is there a way to see if Google has suddenly chopped our numbers? I've poked around a little, but not found a method yet. Thanks, Reeves

Client's site dropped completely for all keywords, but not brand name - not manual penalty... help!
We just picked up a new search client a few weeks ago. They've been a customer (we're an automotive dealer website provider) since October of 2011. Their content was very generic (came from the previous provider), so we did a quick once-over as soon as he signed up. Beefed up his page content, made it more unique and relevant... tweaked title tags... wrote meta descriptions (he had none). In just over a week, he went from ranking on page 4 or 5 for his terms to ranking on page 2 or 3. My team was working on getting his social media set up, set up his blog, started competitor research... And then this last weekend, something happened and he dropped completely from the rankings... He still shows up if you do a site: search, or if you search his exact business name, but for everything else, he's nowhere to be found. His URL is www.ohioautowarehouse.com, business name is "Ohio Auto Warehouse" We filed a reconsideration request on Monday, and just got a reply today that there was no manual penalty. They suggested we check our content, but we know we didn't do anything spammy or blackhat. We hadn't even fully optimized his site yet - we were just finishing up his competitor research and were planning on a full site optimization next week... so we're at a complete loss as to what happened. Also, he's not ranking for any of the vehicles in his inventory. Our vehicle pages always rank on page 1 or 2, depending on how big the city is... you can always search "year make model city" and see our customers' sites (whether they're doing SEO or not). This guy's cars aren't showing up... so we know something is going on... Any help would be a lifesaver. We've been doing this for quite some time now, and we've never had a site get penalized. Since the reconsideration request didn't help, we're not sure what to do...

How can you get the right site links for your site?
Hello all, I have been trying to get Google to list relevant site links for my site when you type in our brand name, Loco2 or for when Loco2 comes up in a search result. Different things come up when you search Loco2 and Loco 2. We would like site links to look like how they do when you search Loco 2. However Loco2 is our brand name, NOT Loco 2. Does anyone know why Google is doing this and whether we can influence results? We have done as much as possible via Google webmaster, in terms of specifying the links we DO NOT want Google to list for Loco2. However, when you search "Loco2", results only show simple site links. Ideally what we want is: Loco2 to be recognised as the brand NOT Loco 2 The same results (substantial, identical) for Loco2 as for Loco 2 (think o2 and o 2) For the site links to reflect the main pages of our site (Times & Tickets, Engine Room forum etc.) Many thanks in advance! Anila

Webmaster Tools Site Map Question
I have TLD that has authority and a number of micro-sites built off of the primary domain. All sites relate to the same topic, as I am promoting a destination. The primary site and each micro-site have their own CMS installation, but the domains are mapped accordingly. www.regionalsite.com/ <- primary

Google Penalty?
Hi, I have recently been asked to help www.mycanvas.ie I have a feeling they have a google penalty. All their Google Keywords have literally dropped out of the Google SERP but they are still shown on Yahoo SERP. I recently did a site:www.mycanvas.ie and the pages are still in google index. The only thing that comes to mind is that the site owner submitted to 380 web directories over a period of 2 months with http://www.directorymaximizer.com/ do you think this could be causing the problem with google? Advise and suggestions are welcomed, thank you.

404 Errors in Google Webmaster Tools
Hello, Google webmaster tools is returning our URLs as 404 errors: http://www.celebritynetworth.com/watch/D5GrrPEN9Oc/tom-mccarthy-floating/ When we enter the URL into the browser it loads the page just fine. Is there a way to determine why Google Webmaster Tools is returning a 404 error when the link loads perfectly fine in a browser? Thanks, Alex
