Best way to create page title to products catalog
-
Hi guys, i'm having problems with duplicated page title, and i want to know what is the best way to avoid this problem.
The example is like this:
Title page (A): Product name A - category - section
Title page (B): Product name B - category - section,
What you think guys i can resolve this problem,
Thank you so much for your help.

In the example you've presented, I don't see a duplicate title tag. Product name A is different from product name B, which makes title page A different from title page B.
If you want those titles to be even more unique, you could consider sometimes such as:
Title page (A): Product name A | Unique Selling Point for product A with Good Keywords
Title page (B): Product name B | Different Selling Point for Product B with Different Keywords
-
When you see a category >subcategory>product the best way to tackle page title duplication would be Product Name with an unqiue identifier (eg, size etc)>categoryname>section
The unique identifier will make each product page title somehwat unique.
-
I don't fully understand your problem. The example you give seems to be fine to me, as long as your product names are unique.
To make sure you don't have any duplicated page title, you should make sure that your product catalog doesn't have any duplicated products.

Best Way to Handle Near-Duplicate Content?
Hello Dear MOZers, Having duplicate content issues and I'd like some opinions on how best to deal with this problem. Background: I run a website for a cosmetic surgeon in which the most valuable content area is the section of before/after photos of our patients. We have 200+ pages (one patient per page) and each page has a 'description' block of text and a handful of before and after photos. Photos are labeled with very similar labels patient-to-patient ("before surgery", "after surgery", "during surgery" etc). Currently, each page has a unique rel=canonical tag. But MOZ Crawl Diagnostics has found these pages to be duplicate content of each other. For example, using a 'similar page checker' two of these pages were found to be 97% similar. As far as I understand there are a few ways to deal with this, and I'd like to get your opinions on the best course. Add 150+ more words to each description text block Prevent indexing of patient pages with robots.txt Set the rel=canonical for each patient page to the main gallery page Any other options or suggestions? Please keep in mind that this is our most valuable content, so I would be reluctant to make major structural changes, or changes that would result in any decrease in traffic to these pages. Thank you folks, Ethan

Keyword rich domain name and page title
Hi guys, First of all, I must say I love this community, and that SEO is great and at time fascinating :d Ok my question now is, I have this domain which is keyword rich, later I noticed Google changed my pages title into something else but similar, also added my domain name (mysite.com) in the titles. Google had taken some of his auto-title-suggestions from inside my pages, later i changed them and saw google changed the titles too accordingly, nice work google ) So I figured this tile name changing is because my domain is already keyword rich, right? so the best practice is, I create a more unique descriptive title + my domain name at the end of the title. (And for homepage, domain name .com at the beginning in the title. What do you think? Thanks for your thoughts!

My beta site (beta.website.com) has been inadvertently indexed. Its cached pages are taking traffic away from our real website (website.com). Should I just "NO INDEX" the entire beta site and if so, what's the best way to do this? Please advise.

Best way to address duplicate news sections within site
A client has a news section at www.clientsite.com/news and also at subdomain.clientsite.com/news. The stories within each section are identical: www.clientsite.com/news/story-11-5-2011 subdomain.clientsite.com/news/story-11-5-2011 What's the best way to avoid a duplicate content issue within the site? A 301 redirect doesn't seem appropriate from the user experience point of view. Is applying a rel=canonical <www.clientsite.com news="" story-a-b-c="">to each story within the subdomain news section the best option? They have 100's of stories, wondering if there might be an easier way?</www.clientsite.com> Also, the news pages list the story headline and the first 3 lines of copy. Do these summaries present duplicate content issues with the full story page? Thank you!
