What is the best Wordpress Analytics Plugin to use?
-
I am installing a new instance of WordPress and want to use Google Analytics. Which Plug-in is the best to use?
I am finding several Plug-ins that all seem to do the same thing:
Google Analyticator
Google Analytics Dashboard
Simple Google Analytics
Ultimate Google Analytics
Wordpress Google Analytics
Maybe one of these are not the best? Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Some of the plugins have features that will automatically tag the external links and downloadable items for you, which can be handy (Google Analyticator does this, for example).
A word of caution, from personal experience. If you need to do anything custom with GA, don't use a plugin as well as the custom GA, unless you want your bounce rate to fall to almost zero and a couple of other metrics to be off because you have two instances of GA in use (for me, I have custom GA so I can integrate data from an ecommerce system).

Hi,
I use Wordpress quite a lot and have found just adding the code to the pages works just great. So, suggest regular Google Analytics. Thats my two cents.....
-
Hmm, Woopra looks cool. Gonna check it out
-
Ty for the info about Woopra, I just checked their faq and i'm already trying it and seems so..real time lol
-
I use GA (just edit the footer and add it), but I am also madly in love with Woopra. You get real time analytics and it's very easy to use. There is a WP plugin for it too if you don't want to add it manually.
-
I always just do this. It's something simple enough that you don't really need a plugin for it.
-
I use Google Analyticator for my Wordpress Blogs. It handles inserting the code in the write place and all you have to worry about is the options for the plug-in. You still get all the free goodness of Google Analytics and you also get the ease of configuration of a WP plug-in.

I am not a WP user, but I am curious as to why you can't just use GA by putting the code within the header of each page? WP, I would think, has to allow you this access.

Two of Four Google Analytics Views Not Showing Data
Question for you MOZ friends: We added two new views about a week ago, the same views that we have added for more than 50 Accounts, and they are not showing any data. The views are for 'Filtered Traffic' (no IPs or spam) and 'Organic Only' including only the organic medium. Any ideas why this may not be working? First time we've come across this and couldn't find much help researching it... Thanks as always! street%20ga_zpsorfdnemi.png

Is Google analytics not working properly anymore?
Hi mozzers, We launched a website 2 months ago and when monitoring Organic data on GA we had an average of 23% bounce rate like a month ago but the last 2 weeks I noticed that bounce rate=0%. This is very weird especially that we haven't modified the existing pages and that multiple keywords show an average site duration of 0 seconds. Any thoughts about this discrepancy? Do you think that there is an issue with the GATC implemented? Thanks

Viewing stats for a single webpage in Analytics
I have Google Analytics and can't figure out how to generate stats for a single page on my site. I would like to know what websites are referring this page, time on site, unique views, etc.

Where are google analytics stats for iphone4
hi We were looking at the Google Analytics for one of our sites and noticed that there were NO pageviews from device=iphone and resolution=640x960 in the report. Given that iphone4 is supposed to be 640x960, and would be the most popular device (at least in our offices and everyone I know), it seems wierd. I sorted the Mobile Devices report by device and resolution to see what was available. The first 160 results were all device=not set. Finally got to device=iPhone and there were three entries: resolution 0x0 had 11 views resolution 320x396 had 45 views resolution 320x480 had 3,944 views. Hopefully all iphone4 users havent been classified as not set. Or is it possible that iphone4s claim to be 320x480 in browsers, as per http://www.alistapart.com/articles/a-pixel-identity-crisis/ Even worse, if I look at the Samsung Galaxy S II (myown phone), there are over 30 screen resolution combinations. Does anyone have anything to shed on this? I asked about it on the google analytics twitter account last week but havent had a response. Are there other analytics solutions that would distinguish between the iphones? Warning - this is a link to a large image, with the not set stats at the top. 6Sjji

Track Individual Organic Orders In Google Analytics
I was wondering if there is a way to track information about the individual order in google analytics. Currently I can see all of the organic traffic, rev, transactions, etc, but I would like to be able to know what those individual order numbers are, as well as be able to place test orders to see if organic tracking is correctly working. Does anyone know of a good blog walkthrough for this, or have any suggestions? Thanks (again individual organic order data not all data from a specific search engine or keyword).
