Ambiguities In The MozBar Keyword Difficulty Checker
-
Hi,
This is more of an observation rather than a real issue. But I noticed that when I check a keyword difficulty in Google by pressing the button that appears I get a different % result to the same keyword placed in the campaign.
I suspect that it is something to do with being in the UK, however, If for instance I go to google.co.uk and place in the search bar IT support company Portsmouth I get the result 44% appear but in the keyword difficulty tool I get the result 34%.
It seems to do this on all the keywords I have checked. I also checked both US and UK results in the campaign but neither of these came up within the 10% difference of the toolbar.
Like I mentioned though, not a criticism, just an observation, its still a very handy little tool.
EDIT 06/18/14: I thought I would just add that I am now getting some seriously odd results.
For instance, if I put in the keyword 'hairy blue widgets for sale in Outer Mongolia' it returns a difficulty level of 71% ???
Thanks

Hi There,
Thanks for writing us! After checking into this issue myself and a colleague were not able to discover where you found the 44% number for IT support company Portsmouth. A screen shot is usually the best way for us to track down these issues. With a bit of clarification we should be able to help you out. If you would like to discuss specific examples of this outside of the forum I would encourage for you to reach out at help@moz.com.
In the meantime if you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to ask.
Have a great day!

Keyword Ranking Report is Different than Real Result on Google
Hi Guys,
Moz Bar | | KanikaG
I am getting MOZ reports on a few keywords and that is good But when My client search for the same keywords he doesn't get the same rank, not even on that page. Let me explain in more details:
I have a keyword that shows on rank #5 in Google Mobile for a Local location for the current week. The client is from the same location as well. But when client search for that keyword from his mobile he doesn't get the keyword listed on that page, not even on other pages. I checked with other online keyword rank checker tool and all are showing the result similar to the Moz ranking report. It's really frustrating for my client. Google analytics shows that mobile users and organic reach are increasing so I am sure MOZ and other tools are showing us correct result. What could be the possible reason that he is not getting the same result as showing by MOZ? I am not from his location so how can I check the keyword result for the selected city using MOZ that is accurate? Any help would be highly appreciated. Please help. Thanks1 -
Fresh Web Explorer: if you put a keyword in quotes, is it case sensitive?
For example, would a saved search for "racor fuel filter" capture mentions of "Racor fuel filter"? I'm really hoping I don't have to duplicate the keywords with the alternative capitalisations!! Many thanks Steve

How do you choose a country when uploading a keyword list into Keyword Explorer?
Hi There, I'v been exploring keywords in the Keyword Explorer search bar and changing the Google country via the dropdown (very useful). But now that I'm uploading lists via CSV, I can't figure out how to change the country - see screenshot attached. I think I've just wasted a bunch of monthly queries because the lists created via .csv are all for the wrong country! Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers Ben upload-keywords.jpg?dl=0

How to stop Mozbar ha crashing Firefox and Chrome
I normally use Mozbar in Firefox (latest version 40.0.3) on Windows 7 64-bit. I've never had any problems with it before but just at the start of September I started getting multiple crash events in Firefox - it would crash, restart, instantly crash and so on. I worked through all plugins and turned them off one by one. Nothing worked - if the Mozbar was active Firefox crashed. I then switched to Chrome and installed Mozbar (and nothing else). The same thing started to happen - Chrome now crashes all the time. I've also do a complete virus scan with up to date software and nothing was found. This is seriously starting to do my head in as I can't work without Mozbar but it's just constantly crashing. Any ideas? Suggestions?

Bing data in the keyword difficulty and SERP analysis tool
Hi Guys, I'm wondering about the exact match bing data in the Moz KWD & SERP analysis tool. We're looking at the ranking difficulty for given terms in Google but getting exact match bing numbers. Is the tool estimating Google searches from the bing data (perhaps a simple formula assuming maybe 10% search totals for Bing, 60% for Google or whatever is closest these days) or is it just raw bing numbers that we then have to upsize in order to estimate search numbers in Google? Hope that makes some kind of sense! In other words - how are you guys using that Bing data when considering terms to target using this tool? Look forward to hearing your thoughts.
