What forums do you recommend for?
-
Hi,
What forums would you recommend I join if I specialise in internet marketing?
I am looking at Warrior, DigitalPoint and UK Business Forums but I really can't see me using all 3 daily.
I am based in the UK, so I want something that going to give me good answers from members who actually work in or have clients in the UK?
Thanks

Awww. Thanks for your kind feedback. We're glad you dig the q&a forum here.

I have been all over the web for help with seo over the years. When I get stuck ... I come here for the exact reasons Keri mentioned. Ohh and I'm not an employee, just a very satisfied customer ! This is the highest value for seo expertise I have seen anywhere.

Being a Moz employee, I'm just a tad bit biased here, but I would recommend this Q&A forum as well. There's a higher barrier to entry here (you need to be a Pro member or have 500 Moz Points to ask and answer questions), and it's moderated by several paid employees and associates. Rand himself often stops in to answer questions, as well as a variety of industry experts.

Hi again,
I would start by going through the Warrior Forum, you will need to create an account in order to activate the search facility - they have a paid option called The War Room, I believe that it is $97 per year.
I still recommend http://trafficplanet.com/ and http://www.matthewwoodward.co.uk/forums/ as forums relating to SEO
What I have done over a period of time is followed industry people on Twitter, it is amazing hoe much information you can pick up, for instance this today gives some fantastic information about 'white hat' linkbuilding; http://www.top5seo.co.uk/white-hat-link-building/
Good luck!

Thanks Andy.
Main areas are social media, SEO and pay per click advertising use Adwords, Facebook Ads, Twitter Ads and anything else that rears it head.
Looking to expand that knowledge over time but that's what I specialise in at present.
Thanks

Hi there,
The Warrior Forum is (by far) the most popular Internet Marketing forum and has a vast range of knowledgable people online.
That said, you don't indicate what areas of Internet Marketing you are interested in, for example if your focus was more on SEO then I would suggest something like Terry Kyle's forum; http://trafficplanet.com/
Another good up and coming forum that covers all IM areas is Matthew Woodward's; http://www.matthewwoodward.co.uk/forums/
Please reply if you require any further information...
Regards
Andy

What is a good forum or resource to contact fellow SEO professionals for SEO partnership opportunities i.e. link trades?
While Moz is an excellent resource, i get the impression that it is for community-based SEO questions that can serve as a knowledge database. I am looking for a forum or resource where I can contact other SEO workers to explore link exchange opportunities. For example, i want to reach out to those who do SEO for audio/visual, technology, and event-planning companies so i can offer them links in exchange for some recommended links to my site. Before anyone dogs on link trading as being spammy and not best practice, it would only be done in a useful, relevant, and non-spammy fashion with other high authority sites. Thanks! Ryan

Wordpress, Programming Forums?
Are there any Wordpress forums where amateurs can ask questions about programming. My intent it to better understand the complexity of certain tasks and what would be a reasonable amount of time to complete them so my developer does not rip me off by billing me ten hours for a task that takes them ten minutes. Thanks,

What platform is Moz using for this forum?
Just wondering if Moz can share which platform they're using for this forum? I really enjoy using it and would love to build something similar on our company's website, since it would definitely help our community initiatives and SEO. Cheers!

What are the most effective SEO methods for online communities and forums?
My company has a global online community of over 350,000+ members. We allow users to submit articles revolving around the scrum and agile framework. Sometimes the submissions become overwhelming and I am curious if there is anyone out there who may have experience with this same scenario. I don't want to place meta data on every single article that comes in, because I don't have the resources nor time to optimize each and every article. Does anyone have techniques or suggestions in regards to either leaving the meta data untouched or customizing each individual piece? Any thoughts or ideas will be extremely helpful. Thanks

I need recommendation on an email system for customer service center.
My client has way too many emails coming into his inbox and it's preventing him from closing orders. He wants to be able to split the email load among everyone in sales so he isn't burdened with answering all the emails while his staff sit on their asses. Can anyone recommend a system where emails sent to info@example.com are answered like a customer service system?
