Pros or Cons of adding Schema Markup via HTML or through Webmaster Data Highlighter

I am in the process of adding schema to a site that I am working on,, are there advantages or disadvantages to adding via html on site or through webmaster tools?

Hmm, not sure about that, I've just tested it and it doesn't. Thinking about it for a second, Google would need access to your site to do that

I'm going to go with what may be the least amount of hassle to you, in relation to the CMS I'm most familiar with.
My example depends on what CMS/Framework you're using and if you enter the data manually, or if it's just being pulled in via some kind of API/Feed... what have you. Which it sounds like the latter is the case.
My use case is WordPress and manual data entry. It shouldn't take an experienced WP dev long to write a plugin for a single Schema type (Local Business - Event, etc.). It sounds lazy, but if you're not terribly comfortable with HTML - that alone would be a time saver.
However, if you're pulling these events in via some RSS Feed or API, that will likely require more dev time. The latter being the most dev time of all, even provided adequate documentation.
In any case, you wouldn't be able to get there without some amount of developer time/involvement. As far as I know, there isn't a plugin that handles your particular use case as I understand it.
Also, if you are using WordPress and you're using a plugin to pull in this feed - it could be about as time consuming as the second option. Plus, there's the added hassle of making a plugin work with a plugin. That wouldn't be the best idea either, but then again - sometimes my estimates are off.
Long story short, you will more than likely have to consult a developer on this one.

Sorry to bug you again, looking at the tags (in this case the dates, venue and addresses) are dynamic. How can I add schema markup to them and show the changing event times? The site has a larger number of events per page.

That option is initially unavailable until you start highlighting elements (Name, etc.). The button will change from muted/grey to red in the top right of the highlighting tool.

When using the GWT it only allows you to publish, I do not see anything that shows create "HTML"

Once you are done highlighting and selecting the type of data, you will need to click the red 'create HTML' button and add it to the page. When that's done, you should be able to see the verified markup with the rich snippet tool.
You have the correct URL for the tool, so you may not have added the marked up HTML to your page.

So I would be okay strictly using GWT Highlighter for Schema and it would cover me for the other engines as well? Is there any way to view it after adding just to verify, http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets does't seem to work.

If I remember correctly, GWT Highlighter outputs HTML with Schema once all of the highlighting is done.

Yeah, that tool simplifies schema.org examples. Just enter the info into it, see how the HTML should look, then copy/paste/edit it to match your websites HTML.

Have you ever used something like this for adding via html http://schema-creator.org/ or are you just pulling the code from schema.org and adding directly to your sites?

Advantage to doing it via HTML: picked up by all search engines, not just Google.
Don't think there is an advantage over doing it through GWT.. except that it might be easier to use for the less technically inclined.

Job Posting Page and Structured Data Issue
We have a website where we do job postings. We manually add the data to our website. The Job Postings are covered by various other websites including the original recruiting organisations. The details of the job posting remain the same, for instance, the eligibility criteria, the exam pattern, syllabus etc. We create pages where we list the jobs and keep the detailed pages which have the duplicate data disallowed in robots.txt. Lately, we have been thinking of indexing these pages as well, as the quantum of these non-indexed pages is very high. Some of our competitors have these pages indexed. But we are not sure whether doing this is gonna be the right move or if there is a safe way to deal with this. Additionally, there is this problem that some job posts have very less data like fees, age limit, salary etc which is thin content so that might contribute to poor quality issue. Secondly, we wanted to use enriched result snippets for our job postings. Google doesn't want snippets to be used on the listing page: "Put structured data on the most detailed leaf page possible. Don't add structured data to pages intended to present a list of jobs (for example, search result pages). Instead, apply structured data to the most specific page describing a single job with its relevant details." Now, how do we handle this situation? Is it safe to allow the detailed pages which have duplicate job data and sometime not so high quality data in robots.txt?

Json LD e-commerce site with Excellent implementation of all markup features
Hi all I am looking for some really good clear examples of sites that have excellent JSON LD markup. Not just the basics but packed to the teeth with markup for every element. I am particularly interested in e-commerce applications as I am re skinning our e-commerce platform written from scratch in house. It is far from perfect, not mobile friendly and well a bit backward but links into everything we have in a seamless way all the way to our manufacturing plant. Migrate site from HTML to Wordpress and retain SEO

Im using Eventum Theme for hosting events and Woocommerce plugin for products so there is a slighy disconnect between the 'Event Page' and 'Buy tickets/Product page" **For example:

Schema.org for LocalBusiness v. Webpage
I am adding schema.org markup for some clients and I am running into an issue. Specifically the site I am working on uses a child theme for Genesis 2.0. Genesis 2.0 added schema.org markup by default to all pages. If I want to change the markup on the home page to a LocalBusiness should I remove ALL other schema.org markup on there for the website (marking nav as nav , header as header, etc)? Or can I leave the markup as a webpage and just add the local business markup as well? When I look at it in the testing tool in GWMT, it just shows the webpage markup not the LocalBusiness markup. Duplicate content in Webmaster tools, is this bad?
We launched a new site, and we did a 301 redirect to every page. I have over 5k duplicate meta tags and title tags. It shows the old page and the new page as having the same title tag and meta description. This isn't true, we changed the titles and meta description, but it still shows up like that. What would cause that?

How often is a Places search run - ie via the Google menu option
Hi guys Does anyone have a gut feel for how often the Places search option is used via the left hand side menu of Google? I have a non-slip solutions (flooring/decking etc) client. Google does not provide a 'local search' type results page even when the location is added to the search term. So I am thinking I should prioritise energies on the website and not local search activities (like citations). But I am wondering how many searches are conducted using the Places option. Any views? How to determine URL Parameters in Google Webmaster
Hi there! I have a new website with so many duplicate meta titles and descriptions because of its expanded features from the e-commerce shopping cart that I am using like mobile website, product sorting, etc. Aside from canonical, is it advisable to use the URL parameters from Google webmaster tools to disallow crawling of mobile website and other parameters like, "parent", "catalogsetview", "pcsid", "pg" "mode".
