Rankings Report
-
Suddenly, I find myself unable to access the Rankings Report.
Anyone?
-
That looks like a custom report. You get more info on where to find it as wells as how it works in our Help Hub.
-
I'm looking for this report. Can you tell me the URL to find this?
-
That really depends on which report you're looking for. If it's just the standard rankings reports, you can actually export the PDF's from the given rankings pages. This button is generally on the top right-hand side of the page. For custom reports, you need to click on the Custom Reports link at the top of the page. From there you can pull up old reports or generate an exportable preview of the current report.
-
What's interesting here is that we haven't changed anything and, up until now, I've never had a problem accessing the Rankings Report. Can you tell me the exact steps to see it? I click on campaigns and see no option for it.

Hi Jim,
There was an issue for PDF's that a fix was deployed for this past week. I've generated a couple of PDFs successfully so everything is back up and running for you. As far as the site taking time to load for you, I'm not able to replicate this one. Everything seems to be loading fine as far as I can see.
We have a small set of users that are unable to properly access the /cors/ database from our system, which is the database your computer would need to access Moz Analytics and may be why you are experiencing loading issues. This seems to be an issue only with specific machines, which means that it is a very difficult issue to fix.
Our engineers have identified three possible causes and solutions for this issue:
-
Highly sensitive anti-virus software. The way to get around this is to whitelist moz.com in the software. If you are running Sophos Anti-Virus on Mac. Disable the option 'Block malicious downloads from websites, protecting your Mac from obfuscated, polymorphic and zero-day threats before reaching your browser'.
-
Enterprise firewalls that block us, which you may need to work with your IT department on if you do not have direct access to your firewall settings.
-
VPN connection/profiles. Disabling or removing the VPN profile has been known to be a common issue.
A couple of other things we've heard from customers experiencing this issue is that certain extensions were preventing the page(s) in Moz Analytics from loading for them. One of these is Adblocker +. I'd recommend checking to make sure none of the extensions you may be running in your browser is causing the access issues.
If none of the above works, I would recommend speaking to an IT professional about how to investigate the security settings on your computer that may be blocking your browser from accessing the site. The most common fix we've seen from others have been a re-install of their operating system but that one can definitely be a pain.
If you continue running into issues access the PDF's for your account, please send a ticket into Help so we can dive a bit deeper into this for you. Thanks!

Hi Sam-
Thanks for getting back to me.
I'm looking for the report that looks like this one: http://imgur.com/NX43azfAlso, when I try to access our campaign it seems to spin about 50% of the time. Not sure if that's a problem on your end or ours but I don't seem to have trouble with any other sites.
Thanks-
Jim

Hi there!
Can you be a little more specific in regards to the issue you're running into? I logged into your account and was able to access all of the rankings pages. They also all have data in them. If this is in regards to the PDF reports, there was an issue we ran into with them not displaying the keywords the last couple of days but a fix for this was deployed this morning and things are back to normal there. Hope to hear back from you soon!

Canonical in Moz crawl report
I'm wondering if the moz bot is seeing my rel="canonical" on my pages. There are 2 notices that are bothering me: Overly Dynamic URL Rel Canonical Overly Dynamic URL - This notice is being generated by urls with query strings. On the main page I have the rel="canonical" tag in the header. So every page with the query string has the canonical tag that points to the page that should be indexed. So my question...Why the notice? Isn't this being handled properly with the canonical tag? I know I can use my robots.txt or the tool in Google search console but is it really necessary when I have the canonical on every page? Here is one of the links that has the "Overly Dynamic URL" notice, as you can see the the canonical in the header points to the page without the query string: https://www.vistex.com/services/training/traditional-classroom/registration-form/?values=true&course-title=DMP101 – Data Maintenance Pricing – Business Processes&date=March 14, 2016 Rel Canonical - Every page in my report has this notice "Using rel=canonical suggests to search engines which URL should be seen as canonical". I'm using the rel="canonical" tag on all of my pages by default. Is the report suggesting that I don't do this? Or is it suggesting that I should? Again...why the notice?

Why there is a big gap between MOZ and Google Analytics Keyword Ranking for my website?
Hello everyone, I've just started a SEO project and I'm very new in the field. Well, I tried to select the most interesting Keywords for my website. When I checked out what the current ranking for each one was, I noticed that between Google and MOZ, figures are totally different. For example, for the word "channel manager": on Google Analytics: #2 on MOZ: not in the top 50 I know that for Google Analytics, these numbers are average (12 months). But it cannot explain such a huge gap. Do you have an explanation for that? And also does that mean that I can't trust Google (really?). Because I also did some analysis with Google figures: Monthly searches, Competition... Thanks for you help! Happy Christmas, Floriane.

Create a report with keyword, label, difficulty, global search volume, and ranking?
Is it possible to create a report with containing keyword, label, difficulty, global search volume, and ranking? Currently in order to get the data, it seems like I need to manage two lists, the keyword list we are tracking and the keyword list in the Difficulty tool then somehow manually combine the data. Is there an easier way?

Rank Tracker Inconsistencies
My rank tracker reports are odd. The 'Changes From Last Week' don't align with the numbers in the other reports I have been getting. For instance, it will say +3 for a particular search term and show the Latest Ranking to be the same as it has been for a couple of weeks. There has been no +3 to the ranking according to the reports. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks!

On Page reporting Issue
Hi I’ve recently downloaded my onpage analysis report for our site http://www.health2000.co.nz . The column that is titled “Missing data description Tag” says false, which I’m assuming means the meta description is present. However in the column titled “meta _description tag” there is no meta description present (nor is any meta description in the backend of my site. Could someone please explain why this would occur? I look forward to hearing from you Regards Pete
